尽管这类具有可移除密封件的瓶子很流行,但这样的瓶子并不总能被容易地打开和关闭。例如,一个具有较弱握力的人也许会难以扭转一个典型的拧紧的瓶盖。同时,通常也会很难恰当地抓握相对较小的瓶子,诸如装药品(特别是药片)的容器。同样,可能由于上面的水分或油,要握持滑的瓶子或盖通常也会很难。这样,由于不能牢固地抓握瓶子和盖,也就难以打开容器。
诸如美国专利No.5921154已经提出用于打开具有旋开盖的瓶子的附件。同样,也已经提出多种使得瓶子容易握持的形状。例如,美国专利No.7191910公开的可热灌装的瓶子被设计为容易握持。同样,美国专利No.5156285公开的瓶子向顶部变窄以使其较容易抓握。然而,这些设计都不是完全令人满意的。因此,仍然需要容易打开的瓶子。

具体实施方式
本发明为一种易于打开的瓶子。在一个实施例中,圆形瓶子的侧壁具有手指凹槽。在另一实施例中,圆形瓶子的下侧壁具有深的手指凹槽。
由潮湿或油分导致瓶子是滑的,其通常难以被打开。同样,对于年老的、肢体缺损或受伤的人而言,由于较弱的握力,难以打开瓶子。
本发明人发现了具有用于手指的凹槽的瓶子容易被打开。本发明的一个实施例为一种圆形的并在下侧壁具有深的手指凹槽的瓶子。该凹槽允许使用者的手指进入。能够将手指置于凹槽中,将增加相对的手指之间的径向握力。能够将手指置于凹槽中还使得能够利用手指的侧面沿抵抗盖旋转的方向施加附加力,便于盖的移除。
附图示出了本发明的一个实施例。图1是这一实施例的侧视图。瓶1在其颈部3的末端具有开口2,在瓶1的相对端具有封闭端5。颈部3的外侧面上具有螺纹4。该瓶的封闭端5形成有手指凹槽6。

本发明实施例中的凹槽这样设计其形状和尺寸,以容纳使用者的手指并能使手指的侧面提供阻力来转动瓶子。这样,这些具有深的手指凹槽的瓶子根本地不同于其它诸如软饮料瓶或水瓶。这样的瓶有如附图所示的相似几何形状。然而,软饮料瓶和水瓶的凹陷和凸出用于不同的目的。因此在这样的瓶上的凹槽和凸出没有设计成能使打开更容易。相反地,这些凸出和凹槽被用来加强瓶的强度,或者使得瓶能够更好地竖直站立。因此这些形状不同于用于手指的凹槽形状。已知的软饮料瓶和水瓶的形状没有意图用于容纳手指以增加握力并使得瓶的打开更为容易。本领域技术人员只需查看这种瓶并将它们与附图中的瓶子相比较,就能发现由于用于不同的目的而产生的形状上的不同。
手指凹槽的数量通常和容器的尺寸相关。例如,图1所示的瓶子具有六个手指凹槽。六个手指凹槽可以容易地容纳在一个直径介于约2至约2.5英寸之间的瓶子上。根据此处提供的指导,本领域技术人员可以恰当地选择该手指凹槽的布置和尺寸。
瓶子可以由任何制造现有瓶子的已知材料制成。根据本发明实施例的手指凹槽可以被结合入由塑料(无论是吹制的、模制的、浇铸的,或通过其它方法制成的)、金属或玻璃制成的瓶子中。
实例1
一种用塑料吹塑成形的瓶子。该瓶子的直径为2.125英寸,总高度为约2.75英寸。开口的直径为约1.375英寸。该瓶子颈部的外侧具有螺纹。竖直侧壁和底部之间的曲率半径为0.5英寸。六个手指凹槽的宽度在上表面(即,在瓶壁上)最宽处为约0.7英寸,它们在侧壁上竖直向上延伸,从侧壁越过底部朝向中心约0.7英寸。

Claims (20)

1.一种易开瓶子,包括:
侧壁,自封闭的底部向上延伸;
颈部,具有在瓶子底部的相对端处的末端;
开口,位于颈部的末端,该颈部的外侧上具有螺纹;以及
手指凹槽,在侧壁上基本上竖直向上延伸。
2.如权利要求1所述的瓶子,其中:手指凹槽平滑地形成以容纳使用者的手指。
3.如权利要求2所述的瓶子,其中手指凹槽的尺寸能够使得使用者施加强有力的握力,并通过凹槽内的手指的侧面提供额外的扭力。
