Description

不含BADGE和BPA的罐用涂料
背景技术
用于容纳食品和饮料的金属容器通常具有一层或多层涂层以防止所填充的产品与金属之间的接触。这是为了防止或尽量减少由产品对金属的腐蚀和对产品质量的任何不利影响。为了制造这种类型的容器,例如镀锡或镀铬钢或铝罐,所用的金属片材在它们成型(例如用于三件套罐产品)或变形(例如深拉处理)之前,已涂覆适当的涂料组合物。在制造食品和饮料用罐时,要求所用涂料需具有非常好的柔韧性和低毒性。此外,装满食品的罐通常采用高至135℃来消毒。因此,涂层在那些温度下必须足够稳定并必须能够附着于金属的表面。
环氧酚醛型涂料已经被用作涂覆于金属罐原料(例如,用于三件套罐)上的漆,经烘干以赋予涂料对侵蚀性的填充产品的良好抵抗性、机械性能和金属粘合性(metal adhesion)。但是,许多这类涂料含有2,2’-双(4-羟基苯基)丙烷-双(2,3-环氧丙基)-醚(或其同系物),或者称为双酚A-二缩水甘油基醚或“BADGE”(双酚A-二缩水甘油基醚(Bisphenol-A-Di-Glycidyl-Ether))。
使用含有BADGE的配方是食品法方面所禁止的。
目前可得到的聚酯型涂料,例如那些由氨基型或异氰酸酯型树脂所交联的,被用作三件套罐的外涂料,但当与食品接触时其不耐加工,或不符合食品法,因而也还不能提供一种可供选择的涂料配方。
WO 00/55265描述了不含BADGE的组合物,然而,其是在聚酯树脂结合双酚A(BPA)的基础上生产的。以PVC与双酚A交联为基础的有机溶胶作为可选择的聚酯树脂。因此双酚A被优选用于具有消毒耐受性、不含环氧的罐用涂料。但是,已被发现的是双酚A以雌激素类似的方式作用于人体,这可能导致生殖障碍。
聚氯乙烯型的交联的涂料组合物在商业上是可买到的。但是,所有已知的抗病毒的涂料组合物含有BADGE和/或BPA。在本发明的上下文中使用的术语“交联”,是指以共价键连接一聚合物链至另一聚合物链,而术语“交联剂”是指单体或聚合物能够与将其连在一起的聚合物链反应或共反应以形成硬质塑性(duroplastic)网络。
许多已知的用于金属罐的涂料组合物还含有金属稳定剂,如铅基或锡基稳定剂。这些金属稳定剂用于食品和饮料的罐中是不合乎要求的且不符合食品法。
此外,在许多已知的涂料组合物中,在涂覆涂料组合物之前,需要首先在金属表面上涂覆底漆组合物。因为需要更多的、高费用的处理步骤,以及因为许多底漆组合物不符合食品法,这是不利的。
考虑到克服现有技术的不足,需要一种基本不含BADGE和BPA的新的罐用涂料。
发明内容

PVC聚合物(polyer)(a)优选PVC均聚物。优选的PVC聚合物为,例如可从PolyOne购得的商品名为

P70。PVC聚合物的用量为30-90重量%,优选55-80重量%。

典型的可使用的促进剂为磷酸及其酯和烷基苯磺酸,例如十二烷基苯磺酸,及其酯。它们的用量,例如为0-3重量%,优选0.05-1.0重量%(基于活性物质)。

实施例

Claims (18)

7.如权利要求6所述的涂料组合物,其中聚氯乙烯聚合物的存在量为55-80重量%。
8.如权利要求1所述的涂料组合物,该涂料组合物包括55-80重量%的聚氯乙烯聚合物、7-18重量%的丙烯酸树脂和8-25重量%的交联剂。
9.如权利要求8所述的涂料组合物,其中聚氯乙烯聚合物为聚氯乙烯均聚物,且其中丙烯酸树脂选自甲基丙烯酸甲酯、甲基丙烯酸乙酯、甲基丙烯酸丙酯或甲基丙烯酸丁酯树脂或它们的共混物。
10.制造被涂覆的金属基材的方法,其包括将涂料组合物施涂至金属基材上并加热该被涂覆的金属基材,其中该涂料组合物包括:
(g)30-90重量%的聚氯乙烯聚合物,
(h)7-25重量%的丙烯酸树脂,
(i)3-40重量%的交联剂,其由苯酚、对-叔丁基苯酚、二甲苯酚或它们的混合物以及甲醛生产,
(j)0-8重量%的添加剂,
(k)0-50重量%的颜料,和
(l)溶剂组分,
其中所有重量百分比基于涂料组合物的不含溶剂的总的干重,该组合物基本不含双酚A-二缩水甘油基醚且同样基本不含双酚A树脂和其它环氧基团,其中所述基本不含是指所述涂料组合物所含的双酚A-二缩水甘油基醚或双酚A树脂和其它环氧基团低于总重的0.01重量%。
11.如权利要求10所述的方法,其中所述金属基材是镀锡或镀铬的钢或铝。
12.如权利要求10所述的方法,其包括在150℃至250℃的温度下加热所述被涂覆的金属基材10至20分钟的步骤。
13.如权利要求10所述的方法,其中所述涂料组合物包括55-80重量%的聚氯乙烯聚合物、7-18重量%的丙烯酸树脂和8-25重量%的交联剂。
14.如权利要求13所述的方法,其中所述聚氯乙烯聚合物为聚氯乙烯均聚物,且其中丙烯酸树脂选自甲基丙烯酸甲酯、甲基丙烯酸乙酯、甲基丙烯酸丙酯或甲基丙烯酸丁酯树脂或它们的共混物。
15.被涂覆的金属基材,其用涂料组合物涂覆,其中该涂料组合物包括:
(m)30-90重量%的聚氯乙烯聚合物,
(n)7-25重量%的丙烯酸树脂,
(o)3-40重量%的交联剂,其由苯酚、对-叔丁基苯酚、二甲苯酚或它们的混合物以及甲醛生产,
(p)0-8重量%的添加剂,
(q)0-50重量%的颜料,和
(r)溶剂组分,
其中所有重量百分比基于涂料组合物的不含溶剂的总的干重,该组合物基本不含双酚A-二缩水甘油基醚且同样基本不含双酚A树脂和其它环氧基团,其中所述基本不含是指所述涂料组合物所含的双酚A-二缩水甘油基醚或双酚A树脂和其它环氧基团低于总重的0.01重量%。
16.如权利要求15所述的被涂覆的金属基材,其特征在于其为用于储存和/或运输食品或饮料的金属罐或罐的盖子。
17.如权利要求15所述的被涂覆的金属基材,其中所述涂料组合物包括55-80重量%的聚氯乙烯聚合物、7-18重量%的丙烯酸树脂和8-25重量%的交联剂。
18.如权利要求17所述的被涂覆的金属基材,其中所述聚氯乙烯聚合物为聚氯乙烯均聚物,且其中丙烯酸树脂选自甲基丙烯酸甲酯、甲基丙烯酸乙酯、甲基丙烯酸丙酯或甲基丙烯酸丁酯树脂或它们的共混物。
