背景技术
现在越来越需要向罹患从阿兹海默氏症到压力症的各种疾病的患者提供远程健康护理。为了将成本降至最低,比较理想的是向这些患者提供家庭护理。家庭护理通常需要护士或某些类型的助理之类的健康护理提供者定期访视。由于财政和/或人员配备的问题,健康护理提供者可能在患者需要某些帮助时不能出现在患者面前。另外,已有的人员必须不断地培训,这会对培训人员造成一定的负担。需要提供一种允许健康护理提供者不在现场的情况下为患者提供远程护理的系统。

发明内容

控制器64可以运行LINUX OS操作系统。控制器64还可运行MS WINDOWS以及用于与远程控制站16通信的视频、相机和音频驱动程序。可以利用MPEG CODEC压缩技术来收发视频信息。该软件允许用户给患者发电子邮件或允许患者给用户发电子邮件,或者允许患者访问因特网。一般来说,高级控制器60用于控制遥控装置12和远程控制站16之间的通信。
高级控制器60可以通过串行端口86和88链接到低级控制器62。低级控制器62包括通过总线96耦合到RAM装置92和非易失性RAM装置94的处理器90。每个遥控装置12包含多个电机98和电机编码器100。电机98可以启动移动平台,并移动遥控装置的其它部件,如监视器和相机。编码器100提供有关电机98的输出的反馈信息。电机98可以通过数模转换器102和激励放大器104耦合到总线96。编码器100可以通过解码器106耦合到总线96。每个遥控装置12还具有多个接近传感器108(也参见图1)。位置传感器108可以通过信号调节电路110和模数转换器112耦合到总线96。

可以选择报警图标132来请求访问来自遥控装置的视频图像。遥控装置的默认状态可以是不将视频信息发送到远程站。选择报警图标132时会将诸如访问请求的报警输入发送到遥控装置。然后,遥控装置产生报警指示。该报警指示可以是由遥控装置的扬声器发出的声音和/或遥控装置的监视器上的可视提示。例如,可视提示可以是“闪光”图形图标。声音可以模仿敲门声。因此,报警图标132可以具有门环的外观。
响应报警指示,用户可以提供用户输入,如遥控装置上按钮的压下或遥控装置监视器上图形图像的选择,以便允许访问遥控装置相机。遥控装置还可具有允许用户通过语音命令来同意访问的语音识别系统。用户输入使遥控装置开始将来自遥控装置相机的视频图像传送给请求访问遥控装置的远程站。可以在报警输入和响应的循环之前建立语音通信,以便允许远程站的用户与遥控装置处的接话员对话。
DUI 120可以包括用于指示遥控装置电池中的剩余电能量的图形“电池计”134。图形“信号强度计”136可以指示在遥控装置和基站(参见图1)之间传送的无线信号的强度。
DUI 120可以包括用于提供遥控装置的位置的位置显示器138。可以选择CHANGE(改变)按钮140来改变新建对话中的默认遥控装置。用户可以通过选择框142来发起和终止对话。当用户选择框142来发起对话时,框142从CONNECT(连接)变为DISCONNECT(断开)。可以通过按钮144和146来选择系统设置和支持。
