一种用于印刷电路板的同轴连接器
技术领域
本发明涉及一种用于印刷电路板(printed circuit card)的同轴连接器(coaxialconnector),该连接器包括一连接器本体(connector body),该本体适于固定于电路板上,尤其是以焊接的方式固定于电路板上。
背景技术
本发明的同轴连接器特别用于制造与射频(radio frequency,RF)模块的前部连接(front face connection),该RF模块位于一种基站(base station)的设备台(equipment bay)上。
在本申请中,RF模块既可以是发射模块(transmitter modules),也可以是接收模块(receiver modules)。例如,每个模块包括一印刷电路板,其上安装有无源和有源RF元件,各元件之间由印刷电路上形成的RF传输线互连。
RF模块通过同轴线(coaxial cords)相互连接,由于这个目的,每个模块具有一个或多个固定于印刷电路板边缘附近的同轴连接器。
为了避免让有害的电磁发射干扰外部环境,一般每个模块都备有自己的电磁屏蔽,一是为了防止由在模块内的RF元件产生的与辐射有关的有害的电磁发射;二是为了使模块正常工作且本身不被来自于外界的有害的电磁发射干扰。
要确保模块电磁屏蔽,需要在前部的连接器发挥使连接器的底面与模块框架之间保持电气连续性的功能。
传统地,该功能是由连接器上的螺杆与螺母系统完成的。
然而却很难保证在框架与穿过该框架的各种元件之间的电气连续性。目前的趋势是将电磁屏蔽限制到位于印刷电路板的这些辐射源内,即,减少传输线以及无源和有源RF元件。
那么屏蔽功能就由覆盖在各种发射源的罩(caps)而不是同轴连接器来提供,因为这些是很难集成的。
结果是,为了减少辐射,需要优化将电路元件与连接器互连的RF传输线。
这需要使用单层印刷电路和镀通孔以设置射频线(微带线(mirostrips)或带状线(strip lines))。这样就产生了射频损失的缺陷。
发明内容
本发明的目的在于提供一种能够避免上述缺陷的用于印刷电路板的同轴连接器,特别是当RF模块中使用了一种屏蔽罩(shielding cap)后,使模块屏蔽在性能和提供的便利上得到提高。
在本发明的连接器中,连接器本体的形状为一壳体,该壳体围绕着同轴连接器外部接触面的一半圆周。所述本体具有一适于抵靠在印刷电路板的表面的平面底表面,以及一剖面为曲线或多边形,特别是梯形或三角形的凸面形状的上表面。
有利的是,当连接器本体的上表面的剖面为曲线形状时,与该上表面相切的平面与连接器本体的平面表面之间形成的夹角,或者当连接器本体的上表面的剖面为多边形形状时,连接到该上表面的面与连接器本体的平面表面之间形成的夹角,小于或等于70°。
根据本发明,同轴连接器最好设置在从印刷电路板的一个端面开始的挖出部分(cutout)。壳体形状的连接器本体的高度是这样确定的,当其平面底表面抵靠在印刷电路板时,平行且延伸出印刷电路板表面的同轴连接器的中心接触面与所述电路板相切。
较佳地,本发明的同轴连接器包括一能提供电磁辐射屏蔽的罩,该罩具有一前部,其底面端部适于与印刷电路板的表面相接触。所述的前部有一挖出(cutout)的形状,对应于连接器本体上表面的形状。当所述罩放置在印刷电路板上时,它盖住了连接器的本体。在罩和连接体本体之间设置一提供电磁辐射密封的垫片。

具体实施方式
为了使本发明更便于理解,以下举出了可参考附图的具体实施例,实施例并不局限于此。
图1至图3中示出的同轴连接器具有一本体1,其形状为一围绕着同轴连接器外部接触面基本上一半圆周的壳体。壳体本体1具有一平面底表面3和一截面为曲线4的凸出形状的上表面。
图3中可看出,连接器本体的平面表面3与垂直于其上表面4的平面T之间形成的夹角为α,所述夹角在示出的实例中为70°。
同轴连接器安装在印刷电路板C上,其通过焊接连接器本体在电路板上而固定于电路板上。
如图1及图2所示,连接器设置于印刷电路板C上的一起始于电路板的一端面的挖去的部分(cutout),且外部接触衬套(busing)2从电路板上突出来。
连接器本体1的平面表面3抵靠在印刷电路板C的上表面。
可从图3看出,在安装位置,平行并延伸出印刷电路板的表面的同轴连接器的中心接触面5基本上与所述表面相切。连接器本体上表面4的曲线形状的内接圆周的中心位于印刷电路板C的上表面的上部。
为了提供电磁屏蔽的功能,在连接器上设置了罩(cap)6。该罩具有一前部(frontface)7,其上有一个凹面形状的挖出部分(cutout)8,其对应于连接器本体的壳体的上表面4的形状为凸出的那部分。可从图1看出,当罩放置在电路板上时,它盖住了连接器的本体,且在示出的实例中,中间还设置了能提供密封电磁辐射的垫片(gasket)9。举例来说,垫片9由适当注入的硅酮(silicone)构成,可采用施胶枪以方便进行涂布。
藉此,连接器被罩和集成电路板夹固,从而提高了装配在电路板上的连接器抗机械力量的性能。
连接器本体的与罩前部的挖出部分相匹配的形状保证了施加在垫片上的常压基本上能提供电磁辐射的密封作用,因而能够保证高质量的屏蔽功能。
此外,由于屏蔽罩位于连接器之上,可以使用以前没有用过的印刷电路板的表面,从而提高密度并降低费用。因此,印刷电路的传输线可以不再需要使用多层电路而进行发射传输,从而简化了设计且降低了费用。
同时还要指出,本发明连接器本体的形状使得笔直的中心接触面的使用成为可能,而不再需要使用弯曲的接触面,从而使装配工作更加容易。连接器本体具有孔10(图2中可看出),以使导线通过并连接于电路板。
如图2所示,连接器本体1具有一操作区域11。
在图4所示的实施例中,连接器本体1’具有一上表面4’,其剖面的形状为梯形。在图5所示的实施例中,连接器本体1”示出了一上表面4”,其剖面的形状为三角形。
在连接器本体的平面表面与连接到上表面4’和4”的面之间形成的角α与图3所示的角α相同。
虽然本发明列举了上述具体实施例,可以理解本发明并不局限于上述实施例,任何不超出本发明范围和精神的变化和修改都是可以适用的。

Claims (3)

1. 一种用于印刷电路板的同轴连接器,所述连接器具有一适于固定于印刷电路板的连接器本体,其中,连接器本体(1)的形状为一壳体,该壳体围绕着同轴连接器外部接触面(2)的一半圆周,所述本体具有一适于抵靠在印刷电路板表面的平面底表面(3),以及一具有凸出形状的剖面为曲线的上表面(4)或剖面为多边形的上表面(4’,4”);所述连接器更包括一提供电磁辐射屏蔽的罩(6),所述罩具有一前部(7),前部的底端适于与印刷电路板的表面接触,所述前部具有一挖出的形状(8),该形状对应于连接器本体上表面的形状;当所述罩放置在印刷电路板上时,它盖住了连接器的本体;在罩和连接器的本体之间设置一提供电磁辐射密封的垫片(9)。
2. 根据权利要求1所述的同轴连接器,其中,当连接器本体的上表面(4)的剖面为曲线形状时,与该上表面相切的平面与连接器本体的平面底表面(3)之间形成的夹角α,或者当连接器本体的上表面(4’,4”)的剖面为多边形形状时,连接到该上表面的面与连接器本体的平面底表面之间形成的夹角α,小于或等于70°。
3. 根据权利要求1所述的同轴连接器,其中,连接器本体的高度是这样确定的,当其平面底表面(3)抵靠在印刷电路板时,平行且延伸出印刷电路板表面的同轴连接器的中心接触面与所述平面底表面(3)相切。
