调节制品温度的装置
技术领域
本发明涉及一种调节制品温度的装置,具体涉及一种装置和方法,用于调节从注射模制机模腔中取出的模制制品的温度。
背景技术
为了提高注射模制装置的生产率,众所周知需要降低模制制品的周期,方法是在制品仍处于高温状态时将模制制品从模腔中取出来。在随后的步骤中须冷却该模制制品,使模制制品的温度降到低于其结晶温度的范围。
转架式注射模制机包括可旋转的转架装置,该转架装置具有许多活动的半模具以及固定的半模具和模板。各个活动半模具包括一组模芯,该模芯适合于嵌入位于固定半模具和模板上的一组模腔内。在一组制品已经形成在第一活动半模具的模芯上后可以将转架装置转到第二位置,在此第二位置,第二活动半模具配置成与固定半模具相结合。该一组制品继续处于第一活动半模具的模芯上,并用冷却流体进行冷却,该流体吹在制品的外表面上。美国专利No.4449913公开这样一种用于制造预型件的转动注射转架。该专利说明,该转架装置可以在垂直轴上转动,在预型件仍处于模芯上时,该转架装置采用两个转架装置位置来后处理预型件造型。因此在注射后,在第一位置进行保持和稍微冷却,然后将转架装置转到第二位置,在此第二位置可将冷却流体吹在预型件的外表面上,从而冷却预型件。在转到第三位置时,将预型件从转架装置插入调制模具,在此处,可以用冷却气体吹外表面再进行温度调节。
虽然用冷却气体进行冷却可以调节制品温度而不接触其表面,但是这不能提供最有效的热交换。事实上,利用传导冷却法即在制品的外表面和冷却表面之间形成传热接触才能达到最大可能的热交换。
因此,已经提出一种冷却管,该冷却管包括至少一个冷却通道,冷却流体可以流过该通道。该冷却管具有大体对应于制品外部形状的内部形状,使得当制品插入到冷却管中时,可以在冷却管的冷却内表面和制品的外表面形成大面积的接触。虽然这种类型的调节装置是很有效的,但是在制品表面和冷却管之间形成的接触总会有损伤制品外表面的危险。在新模制制品的外表面仍处于高温状态而很容易破裂时,这种危险性是很大的。
这种类型的装置在将要套在制品的外表面时,要求很准确地与仍处于模芯上的制品对准。然而,对于单个冷却管已经很难精确地自动对准,更何况必须将许多冷却管通常高达96个冷却管与相应模芯上的相同数目制品同时对准,这几乎是不可能的。在多个管子同时套在多个模芯上时,这种多管子装置的定位稍微出现偏差,便可能使这些管子擦伤制品的外表面。
为了降低损伤新模制制品的危险,美国专利No.4102626说明将一冷却管可形变地装到一底座部件上,使得大体沿轴向插入制品的运动可以使冷却管发生形变。为此,冷却管的后端装在底座部件的导向孔内,并利用螺旋形弹簧向制品施加偏压。这种由后端导向冷却管的方法构成美国专利No.4102626冷却管的主要缺点。事实上,该冷却管容易倾斜,因此阻挡了冷却管的轴向运动。另外,冷却管的倾斜增加了与引入制品的偏离。这种装置另一个缺点是,由于冷却管有活动性,所以冷却管的冷却通道与冷却流体源的连接装置比固定冷却管的连接装置价格高得多。
发明内容
本发明的目的是提供一种改进的装置来冷却模制制品,这种装置降低了损伤制品的危险性。
为此,本发明提供了一种调节制品温度的装置,包括具有至少一个温度调节装置的调制管,上述调制管具有后端部和开孔的前端部,前者用于将上述调制管牢固固定于底座部件上,后者用于至少部分装入上述制品,其中,一调制套筒可滑动地配置在上述调制管的内部,调制套筒前端具有做成锥面或倒成圆角的内边缘,上述调制管具有用于至少装入上述制品的开口前端部和紧贴上述制品外表面的内部冷却表面,上述调制套筒受到弹性装置的偏压,使其压向上述调制管的前端。
和美国专利No.4102626的装置不同,本发明冷却管牢固固定于底座部件。因此冷却管不会倾斜,从而在制品和冷却管之间不会发生另外的偏离。另外,固定的冷却管可以容易地通过底座部件输送调制流体。在本发明调制管和制品之间发生稍微偏离的情况下,制品的表面将接触调制套筒。该调制套筒因此可以反抗弹性装置的弹力滑入到调制管中。因此作用在制品表面上的力减小到弹性装置的反作用力。这种反作用力比调制管的定位力小得多。由于利用了适当的弹性装置即利用了弹簧刚度小的弹性装置,所以作用在制品表面上的作用力事实上可以容易降低到临界值以下,因而不会损伤表面。
必须注意到,弹性装置的弹簧刚度要相当高才能使弹性装置克服在调制管和调制套筒之间的摩擦力。通过选择弹簧刚度接近于最小值的弹性装置便可使在偏离情况下作用在制品表面上的作用力接近于零。
该调制套筒具有大体与上述制品外部形状相匹配的内部形状。因此调制套筒的调制表面在上述制品插入套筒时应当准确地贴合制品的外表面。所以可在插入制品时直接形成大面积的接触。为了有利于模制的塑料制品从注射模具中取出来,这种模制塑料制品通常是锥形的,如果用这种调制制品的装置来冷却这种模制的塑料制品,则调制套筒将具有匹配的内部锥形形状。因此调制套筒可以利用弹性装置推压到与模制制品的外表面接触,从而在两个匹配的表面之间形成“密配合”,这样便可使热量从塑料部分很快传送到套筒。在冷却塑料制品时其内径将会稍微收缩,套筒受到的偏压力将迫使套筒进一步在该塑料部分上滑动,从而在制品直径减小时也可以保持这种紧密接触。
为了使冷却套筒能够在制品上滑动,最好高度抛光上述调制套筒的调制表面。这种高度抛光的表面进一步提高了两个部分之间的紧密接触性,减小了套筒在制品上滑动时损伤外表面的危险。
为了在制品和调制管之间达到有效的热传输,很明显的是,最好用高导热材料例如金属等材料制作调制套筒和调制管。
在调制套筒的优选实施例中,调制套筒前端的内边缘被做成为锥面。可以明显看出,倒成圆角的边缘使得制品容易插入套管内。另外,由于没有很锐的边缘,所以进一步减小了擦伤制品表面的危险。
弹性装置最好包括一个弹簧,该弹簧配置在上述调制管的向内延伸的止动装置和调制套筒之间。该止动装置可以包括例如配置在调制管后端的环形件。
为了将调制套筒限制在调制管的内部,最好在上述冷却管前端附近配置另一个限制上述调制套筒的向内延伸的止动装置。
该温度调制装置包括配置在上述调制管上的调制流体通道,上述调制流体通道连接于调制流体源。必须注意到,该调制流体可以是用于冷却热制品的冷却流体例如冷水,或者是用于加热制品的热载体。

从下面参考附图1的非限定实施例的说明可以进一步理解本发明。
图1示出用于冷却制品的装置10的实施例,该装置具体适合于冷却位于模芯上的模制制品。在应用于转架式模制机时,可以将许多这些装置配置在调制模具上,这些装置的数目等于半模具模芯的数目,并按照模芯的配置定位。
图1所示的制品是用于吹塑塑料瓶的预型件12。在模制操作期间,该预型件12成型在第一半模16的一个模芯14上,该模芯引入到第二半模(未示出)的模腔内。在水冷的第二半模腔中稍微冷却后,将第一半模从第二半模腔取下来,然后转动到转架装置的温度调制位置。在此调制位置必须进行进一步冷却,使预型件的温度降到低于其结晶温度。
随后,将预型件插入冷却装置10中,该冷却装置包括由导热材料例如金属做的冷却管18,该冷却管具有至少一个在其上形成的冷却通道20。该冷却通道20例如可以加工在冷却管18的外表面上,并用外套管22封闭。在操作时,冷却通道连接于冷却流体源(未示出),以便使冷却流体流过通道20。
冷却管18具有内部开孔24,该孔的直径比预型件12的直径大很多。在冷却管18的内部最好可滑动地配置由导热材料做的冷却套筒26。该冷却套筒26具有与冷却管18的内部形状相匹配的外部形状。因此,可以在冷却套筒26和冷却管18之间形成传导热量的接触,这样便可以使热量从冷却套筒26传送到流过管子18冷却通道20的冷却流体上。
该冷却套筒26的内部形态与预型件的外部形态相匹配。为了便于从注射模具中取出,该预型件通常为锥形的,所以该冷却套筒具有相匹配的内部圆锥形。
在冷却管18内还配置弹簧28,以便沿预型件12的方向向冷却套筒26施加偏压。该弹簧28最好配置在后部止动装置例如冷却管18的底部30和冷却套筒的后表面32之间。该弹簧28将冷却套筒26推向预型件12,因而在将预型件插入冷却套筒26后可以在两个部分之间形成紧密的接触,这使得热量可以从塑料部分快速传送到该套筒。
在冷却管18和预型件12之间发生稍微偏离的情况下,该预型件将反抗弹簧28的弹力使冷却套筒26滑入冷却管。如果弹簧具有适当尺寸,则作用在预型件上的作用力相当小,从而不会损伤制品的表面。另外,该套筒最好包括做成锥面或者倒成圆角的内边缘34,这样便可防止擦伤表面。
应当注意到,最好在冷却管18前端部附近配置向内延伸的止动装置例如环形件35,以便将冷却套筒限制在冷却管内。
另外,最好在冷却管的后部形成抽真空通道36,以便在将上述预型件插入管子18时抽出开孔24中的空气。

Claims (7)

1.一种调节制品温度的装置,包括具有至少一个温度调节装置的调制管,上述调制管具有后端部和开孔的前端部,前者用于将上述调制管牢固固定于底座部件上,后者用于至少部分装入上述制品,其中,一调制套筒可滑动地配置在上述调制管的内部,调制套筒前端具有做成锥面或倒成圆角的内边缘,上述调制管具有用于至少装入上述制品的开口前端部和紧贴上述制品外表面的内部冷却表面,上述调制套筒受到弹性装置的偏压,使其压向上述调制管的前端。
2.如权利要求1所述的装置,其特征在于,上述调制套筒的内部形状基本上匹配上述制品的外部形状。
3.如权利要求1所述的装置,其特征在于,上述调制套筒用高导热性材料制作。
4.如权利要求1所述的装置,其特征在于,高度抛光上述调制套筒的调制表面。
5.如权利要求1所述的装置,其特征在于,上述调制管包括向内延伸的止动装置;上述弹性装置包括配置在上述止动装置和上述调制管之间的弹簧。
6.如权利要求1所述的装置,其特征在于,该装置包括用于限制上述调制套筒向内延伸的止动装置,上述止动装置配置在上述冷却管前端的附近。
7.如权利要求1所述的装置,其特征在于,上述温调装置包括形成在上述调制管内的一调制流体通道,该调制流体通道可连接于一调制流体源。
