Abstract

本发明涉及具有在输入信号为数字信号时,可根据该频率自动选择从数字信号接收机输出的信号的通道的功能的液晶显示装置。一种液晶显示装置,包括基本接收包含外部电源和点信号的数字数据信号的变换板,该变换板包括:数字信号接收机,接收包含外部电源和所述点信号的数字信号;比较机,比较所述点信号的频率是否比最小频率高,其中,所述点信号的频率是从所述数字信号接收机2分频输出的,最小频率是为使所述液晶显示装置的定时控制部和驱动IC工作所必需的最小频率。在实现本发明的实施例时,因为没有在变换板中使用高成本和占用面积的计数器,所以可具有降低制造成本的效果。

液晶显示装置
技术领域
本发明涉及具有通道选择功能的液晶显示装置,特别是涉及具有在输入信号为数字信号时,可根据该频率自动选择从数字信号接收机输出的信号的通道的功能的液晶显示装置。
背景技术
图1表示一般的液晶显示装置的结构。
如图所示,液晶显示装置大致区分可由以下部件组成:接收外部数据和电源的变换板、使变换板的输出转换为LVDS电平的LVDS部、通过输入部从LVDS部提供数据和电源的LCD模块。在此,变换板包括接收数字信号用的数字信号接收机(TMDS接收机)和用于分辨率的调节的计数器,LCD模块由以下部件组成:定时控制部,输出用于使安装在LCD屏板中的驱动IC工作的数据、时钟信号和各种控制信号;LCD屏板;驱动IC;逆变器;背灯等。
一般的,输入数据信号为数字信号(DV1)时,与数字信号数据共同接收的点时钟,在包括数字信号接收机(TMDS接收机)和计数器的变换板中2分频后,通过2个通道(偶、奇通道:向偶数或奇数驱动驱动器施加的信号通道)后,通过LVDS部和LCD模块的输入部传送到定时控制部和驱动IC,最终,将数据在屏板上显示。作为参考,在此向LVDS部施加的数字信号数据,与变换板中施加的信号频率相同,被2分频后施加到LVDS部的信号为点信号。但是,与图1的变换板中包含计数器的情况不同,在图2的情况中,即使在不包含计数器的状态下,向变换板施加数字信号(DVI)时,如还具有数字信号接收机,虽不能满定标,但可在液晶显示装置的中央和向一侧偏置的位置显示。
但是如图2的情况,在去除计数器设计的液晶显示装置时,作为输入信号的数字信号中包含的点信号通过数字接收机通过两个通道2分频以后,通过低电压差动信号串行接口(LVDS部)施加到定时控制部和驱动IC时,存在前述2分频的特定分辨率的频率比为使定时控制部和驱动IC工作所需要的最小频率低的情况,在该情况下具有不能显示的问题。
发明内容
本发明是为解决前述问题而提出的,本发明的目的是提供一种液晶显示装置,在输入信号为数字信号的情况下,去除用于调节分辨率的计数器,在数字信号接收机中具备选择通道的功能,在通过2个通道2分频的点信号的频率比定时控制部和驱动IC可工作的最低限的频率低的情况下,只使用1个通道,使其比定时控制部和驱动IC可工作的最低限的频率高;在比定时控制部和驱动IC可工作的最低限的频率高的情况下,按照现有的方法,通过使用2个通道,使得具有根据输入信号选择通道的功能,即使在没有计数器时,也可以稳定地显示。
作为本发明的实施例公开一种液晶显示装置,包括接收包含外部电源和点信号的数字数据信号的变换板,其特征在于:所述变换板包括:数字信号接收机,接收包含所述外部电源和所述点信号的数字信号;比较机,比较所述点信号的频率是否比所述液晶显示装置的驱动装置中使用的频率高,其中,所述点信号的频率是从所述数字信号接收机2分频输出的。
在本发明中,在所述2分频的点信号的频率比所述驱动装置中使用的频率高的情况下,使用2个通道向所述液晶显示装置的模块施加所述数字信号,在所述2分频的点信号的频率比为使所述驱动装置中使用的频率低的情况下,使用1个通道向所述液晶显示装置的模块中施加所述数字信号。
在本发明中,为比较所述点信号的频率是否比最小频率高,在所述数字数据信号中向所述比较机施加垂直频率信号或水平频率信号。

具体实施方式
以下参照附图对本发明的实施例进行更详细的说明。
图3是本发明的包含变换板的液晶显示装置的形态。
如图所示,本发明的液晶显示装置的变换板具有数字信号接收用的数字信号接收机(TMDS接收机)和比较机。
在工作中,如数字数据信号施加到数字信号接收机,则将数字信号接收机的输出信号中包含点信号的频率信息的水平频率信号(Hsync)施加到比较机(作为参考,也可以使用包含点信号的频率信息的垂直频率信号(Vsync))。接收了水平频率信号的比较机通过数字信号接收机的2个通道2分频计算频率,比较该频率的值是否比定时控制部和驱动IC工作所需的最低限的频率高。
比较的结果,是由2个通道2分频的频率比低电压差动信号串行接口(LVDS)工作所需的最低限频率高时,比较机向数字信号接收机中传送例如高电平的信号。接收了高电平的信号的数字信号接收机被设置使得可使用2个通道,2分频输入数字信号中包含的点信号,经过2个低电压差动信号串行接口(LVDS)的信号发送到定时控制部和驱动IC,可以进行正常的显示动作。
另一方面,由2个通道2分频的频率比低电压差动信号串行接口(LVDS)工作所需的最低限频率低时,比较机向数字信号接收机中传送低电平的信号。接收了低电平的信号的数字信号接收机被设置使得可使用1个通道,在这种情况下,输入数字信号中包含的点信号不被分频,而且,数字信号仅被传送到1个低电压差动信号串行接口(LVDS)。因为没有被2分频的点频率比定时控制部和驱动IC工作所必需的最低限的频率低,所以定时控制部和驱动IC正常工作。
通过以上介绍可明确,在实现本发明的实施例时,因为没有在变换板中使用高成本和占用面积的计数器,所以可具有降低制造成本的效果。

Claims (3)

1.一种液晶显示装置,包括接收包含外部电源和点信号的数字数据信号的变换板,其特征在于:
所述变换板包括:
数字信号接收机,接收包含所述外部电源和所述点信号的数字信号;
比较机,比较所述点信号的频率是否比最小频率高,其中,所述点信号的频率是从所述数字信号接收机2分频输出的,最小频率是为使所述液晶显示装置的定时控制部和驱动IC工作所必需的最小频率。
2.如权利要求1所述的液晶显示装置,其特征在于:
在所述2分频的点信号的频率比为使所述定时控制部和驱动IC工作所必需的最小频率高的情况下,使用2个通道向所述液晶显示装置的模块中施加所述数字信号,在所述2分频的点信号的频率比为使所述定时控制部和驱动IC工作所必需的最小频率低的情况下,使用1个通道向所述液晶显示装置的模块中施加所述数字信号。
3.如权利要求1或2所述的液晶显示装置,其特征在于:
为比较所述点信号的频率是否比最小频率高,在所述数字数据信号中向所述比较机施加垂直频率信号或水平频率信号。
