Abstract

Description

减少NOx排放的直喷式内燃机
本发明涉及一种直喷式内燃机,它具有一个减少NOx的废气后处理系统、一个内部废气再循环装置、分层的稀薄混合气运转状态和在流入的新鲜气体中的涡旋,其中所述涡旋具有一个主要垂直于活塞运动方向的涡旋轴线。
EP0560991B和EP0580389B公开了在稀薄混合气运转的内燃机中减少NOx的装置,其工作原理就是在NOx存储催化器中储存尤其是在内燃机的稀薄混合气运转时产生的NOx并且通过内燃机暂时的富油运转而同时还原地释放出所存储的NOx。这种NOx转换尤其也适用于直喷式内燃机。通过上述NOx转换,已获得较高的转换比,其中尤其是为了避免NOx的原始排放,可以采用与NOx存储催化器相结合的废气再循环装置。
通过废气再循环,原则上明显降低了NOx的原始排放量。这种措施在具有减少NOx的废气后处理系统且尤其是NOx存储催化器的稀薄混合气运转的直喷式汽油机中特别重要,这是因为,甚至是在使用了NOx存储催化器的情况下,转换成稀薄混合气工作状态时,可着力处理NOx原始排放量,尤其就象在λ=1.1-1.4的均匀的稀薄混合气运转中或λ=1.6-4的分层的稀薄混合气运转中出现的那样,这可能是由存储催化器在其表面上的扩散抑制引起的。
另外,再循环的废气导致了燃烧延迟,这一方面通过降低的燃烧温度也起到了减少NOx的作用,另一方面,这造成燃料消耗的改善,这是因为使燃料转换的主要位置延迟移向最佳位置,通常在分层的稀薄混合气运转的直喷式汽油机中,所述燃料转换在循环中太早发生。
这就是说,再循环的废气还可以在适当配量的情况下导致分层的稀薄混合气运转中的燃烧变稳定,这是因为通过废气再循环而提高的温度促进形成混合气,按照原理,由于在这种运转方式下晚期喷入燃料,所以混合气形成必须很短。
但是,在燃烧室中的再循环的废气量不应选得太高,以便给燃料燃烧提供足够多的新鲜气体。在废气再循环率太高的情况下,产生不完全燃烧,由此又增加了油耗和HC/CO排放并且发动机的平稳运转性降低。
在通常进行的外部废气再循环(在燃烧室后接通废气,尤其是在废气歧管上,并把废气回送到内燃机进气侧)中,废气被均匀分配给各缸只能制造费用很高地实现。此外,在尤其是在内燃机中存在的动态运转时通过废气再循环管路和进气管的进气的延时和使进气、废气端具有不同压力比,也只能很困难地调节废气再循环率并匹配于理论预定值。相应地,各缸之间的废气再循环率可能有明显差异并且无法可靠排除小于不理想的最低值或超过不理想的最大值的情况。
对于外部再废气循环的替换方式或附加方式,还知道有内部废气再循环,其中通过调节进气或排气相对时间且尤其是通过提前调节进气凸轮轴而实现残余气体留在气缸中。这种方法的优点是,除了各缸精确计量外,残余气体已参与了下次的燃烧过程并且尽量取消了上述延迟时间以及排除了与理论预定值的大偏差。
由于内部再循环废气的温度较高,对形成混合气的影响也更明显并可以目标明确地加以利用。
可在市场上买到的第一批直喷式DI汽油机利用了内部废气再循环的上述优点,除了配备有外部废气再循环外,它们也设有通过进气凸轮轴进行调节的内部废气再循环装置且借助NOx存储催化器进行废气净化。为了形成混合气,在这批内燃机中采用了促进充气运的涡流方案动,其中被吸入的气体在气缸中被迫受到转动的作用,在这里,旋转轴线近似平行于活塞运动/气缸轴线。此时,在燃烧室中产生垂直空气涡流,在空气涡流中喷入燃料束并被送往火花塞。这样的燃烧方式结合了NOx存储催化器地获得了相当少的NOx排放。
从US-A-5918577中已知道了一种具有分层运转状态和其涡旋轴线大致垂直于活塞纵轴线的翻转流动的直喷式内燃机。还描述了惰性气体分层,该分层具有一个围绕火花塞的空气燃料区,在该区域内有少量甚至没有惰性气体,从而新鲜空气-燃料混合气不能与通过一个内部或外部废气再循环装置被送入内燃机燃烧室中的废气混合。
本发明的任务是,在具有减少NOx的废气后处理的直喷式内燃机中,使燃烧过程和废气后处理最佳化,从而获得特别低的NOx排放值。
本发明的任务通过一种直喷式内燃机完成,它具有一个减少NOx的废气后处理系统、一个内部废气再循环装置、分层的稀薄混合气运转状态和在流入的新鲜气体中的涡旋,其中所述涡旋具有一个主要垂直于活塞运动方向的涡旋轴线,通过充气运动来进行残余废气与被吸入的新鲜气体的混合。

根据本发明,通过特殊组合一些减少废气步骤的组合,获得了特别少的有害物质且尤其是NOx的排放,从而从现在起,即使是直喷式内燃机,也可以达到最低的废气标准如德国4号标准。在直喷式内燃机中,这可以通过内部废气再循环(EGR)且尤其是与外部EGR、减少NOx的废气后处理及流入(新鲜)气体的涡旋运动相结合地来实现,所述涡旋运动主要垂直于活塞运动方向。在这里,首先采用流入气体的翻转运动,这种运动有利地通过在进气通道内的翻转板来产生。在这样的翻转运动中,流入气体滚动地冲入气缸内腔中,其中滚动垂直于活塞运动方向地进行。翻转板的使用主要是在这样的时候进行,即按照要求地把带有翻转涡旋的流体转换成使气缸内腔充满气体时,如就象在λ=1运转(存储催化器再生,高发动机负荷)时经常出现的那样。
通过内部废气再循环与外部废气再循环的组合,可以获得废气再循环率的进一步提高,从而可以在氧气过剩量最低的情况下运转。在这种情况下,还可以借助废气再循环冷却装置来冷却外部废气再循环装置,从而燃烧温度不会升得太高。通常借助一个阀来控制外部废气再循环装置。
根据本发明,涡流轴线最好与活塞运动方向成±15°,在这个范围内出现最低的NOx排放。
尤其是,根据本发明,为了进行减少NOx的废气后处理而采用了一个NOx存储催化器,它在若干秒(通常达2分钟左右)内如以硝酸钡的形式存储废气原始排放物中的氮氧化物,并在λ≤1(或略微大于λ=1)的运转过程中还原再生。这样的存储催化器在上述的欧洲专利说明书中公开了。
通过本发明,可以在废气后处理的减少NOx步骤后特别有利地设置一个NOx探测器,尤其是与一个存储催化器相连地使用这个NOx探测器。在目前的没有翻转运动的运转系统中,可轻微地出现NOx突破现象,NOx探测器错误地把这种突破现象作为存储催化器所产生的再生现象进行分析,从而过频繁地发生增大燃料消耗的再生。直到采用翻转运动,才避免了NOx最高值,从而按照本发明,在存储催化器后面的NOx探测器将可靠的存储率和进而NOx存储催化器的存储填充率信号化。
根据本发明,事实证明以下措施是有利的,即为了使NOx减少最佳化而注重尽可能充分混合废气与新鲜空气,这是因为只有这样,在整个燃烧室中才可以用惰性气体(废气)部分替换参与形成NOx中的氧气分子。根据本发明,能避免出现快速燃烧的且超比例地促使形成NOx的富氧局部区域。这个特点尤其对直喷式内燃机是有意义的,以使其尽可能充分地利用内部废气再循环装置的潜力。

本发明的研究表明,新鲜空气6和留在燃烧室1内(在图1a中,活塞2在上,废气3因进气排气阀同时打开(图4)而留在燃烧室1中)的内部废气再循环装置的废气3在存在涡流器7时(旋转轴线大致指向活塞运动/气缸轴线)未达到最佳混合。内部废气再循环中的残余气体3在进气压缩行程中(图1b/c)通过在活塞底面附近的涡流7作用而保留下来,吸入的新鲜气体3(主要含新鲜空气)随后在进气行程(图1b,活塞2下移)中在残余气体3上分层。由于气体涡流运动7只在活塞运动方向上具有少许脉动,所以在压缩过程中尽可能保持这种分层(没有明显混合)(图1c,活塞上移)。在压缩快结束时被喷入的燃料8(没有示出喷嘴)部分被喷入几乎是纯的新鲜空气6中,部分被喷入具有交替变化的新鲜空气/废气比的不均匀混合区5中,部分被喷入近似于是纯的残余气体3中(图1c)。因此,在转换(通过火花塞4点火)期间内,在火焰前区中出现了从几乎为0%到几乎为100%的残余气体,只有在燃烧室1的几个小区域内,才出现局部近似最好的残余气体量,即使全部残余气体量可能完全等于理论预定值。在残余气体量更低或为零的区域中,燃料成分在高温下快速燃烧,从而在这里没有出现值得一提的NOx减少。在具有很高废气含量的区域中,燃料转换消失了,从而除了仅略微减少NOx外,废气具有更高的HC排放并减少输出功。此外,可能出现油耗增大以及运转平稳性降低,这导致了废气再循环率的理论预定值的失效并同时进一步减小了NOx减少的潜在可能性。尽管在出现涡流运动时,原则上也可以如此考虑这种分层,即例如通过这样形成活塞底面,不是在压缩时出现涡流,就是在喷入束直达尽可能均匀的区域,但根据本发明,事实证明,通过转变为翻转涡旋,可以尤其是与一个NOx探测器有关地获得更好的即更低的NOx排放值。
根据废气方案,尤其是通过可选择的催化还原法即相互的还原和氧化方法来避免所出现的较高HC排放和NOx排放,从而可以获得总体较低的废气排放值,但这加重了油耗和内燃机平稳运转的负担。
如图2所示,根据本发明,通过调节进气凸轮轴但利用翻转充气运动方案17(进气的转动轴线尽可能垂直于活塞运动方向),也可以进行内部废气再循环(象在图1中那样)。在开始进气行程(图2a,活塞12在上)时,如同图1a中那样,在气缸内腔11中有大量残余气体13。但与现有技术相比,本发明的方法具有以下优点,即随后的充气运动(图2b)导致了残余气体13与被吸入的新鲜气体16(或许富含有来自外部废气再循环装置的废气)强烈混合。因此,如图2c所示,喷入燃料18成为混合气,其局部残余气体量只略微不同于平均(总的)残余废气含量(尽可能均匀的混合气15)。这防止了火焰(通过火花塞14点燃)因局部残余废气含量过高而熄灭并同时导致了理想的原始废气中的NOx减少,而没有在平稳运转性高且油耗低的情况下恶化HC排放。由此一来,可以为新鲜气体中的残余废气含量设定较高的理论预定值。
这在图3中示出了,可以从图3中看到在燃烧室中的残余废气含量局部分布在一个小范围内。用30表示在燃烧室中的总残余废气含量,31表示NOx减少小的非理想区(氧气太多),32表示燃料转换不足的非理想区(产生CO/HC,废气太多)。曲线33表示翻转方案,曲线34表示涡流方案时的较高非均匀性。根据本发明,即使在废气再循环率高时,在翻转方案的情况下,也要尽可能避免局部超过最大的允许残余废气含量。
图4所示的总体方案示出了内燃机50局部,它具有一条新鲜空气流入通道51。在分层充气运转中,流入的新鲜气体和通过废气再循环管路68返回的废气一起通过该流入通道并经过一个在翻转流17中的翻转板52到达燃烧室11。发动机控制装置66根据工作条件并通过一个阀67来控制再循环的废气,此外,再循环的废气通过一个废气再循环冷却装置69受到冷却。如在图2c中那样示出了压缩行程,在压缩行程中喷入了燃料18。内燃机50还具有一个进气凸轮轴55和一个排气凸轮轴56,它们通过摇杆54或57来操作进气阀53或排气阀59。它们被安装在气缸盖58中。通过打开阀53、59,实现了给燃烧室11填充废气13(图2a)。在压缩过程中,阀53、59是关闭的。
在发生燃烧后,活塞12又下移,排气阀59被打开,从而废气60流入废气歧管70。在这种情况下,废气在一个被设计成宽带式入值探测器形式的且用于测定从富油运转到稀薄混合气运转的λ值的入值探测器旁流过。随后,废气60流过一个成三通催化器形式的前置催化器62。在这里,CO、HC能和已有的氧气转换成CO2、H2O。此外,NO被氧化成NO2。在前置催化器62后设置一个温度探测器63,它用于监测催化器(OBD)。在继续流动的过程中,废气流入一个NOx存储催化器64中,该NOx存储催化器尤其是吸收氮氧化物。随着填充度提高,从NOx存储催化器泄漏的NOx增加,这由NOx探测器65测知。随后,发动机控制装置66处理这个信号,当超过预定值时,进行NOx存储催化器64再生。这通过内燃机50暂时(约为5秒)进行富油运转来进行,其中H2、CO、HC到达NOx存储催化器64中并且和在这种运转条件下释放的NOx反应生成N2、CO2、H2O。随后,又转为稀薄混合气运转。
在内燃机50均匀运转条件下有利地进行这种再生和高负荷运转,其中流经翻转板52的进气流71被调节成是扁平的(翻转板靠在进气通道51的壁上),从而在新鲜气体经过翻转板52时,没有在燃烧室11中产生翻转涡旋。
在具有分层的稀薄混合气运转状态和内部废气再循环的直喷式内燃机且尤其是汽油机中,设置了借助NOx存储催化器来进行减少NOx排放的废气后处理。为了在HC和NOx排放值最低的情况下获得尽可能高的废气再循环率,为流入的且或许可能含有来自外部废气再循环装置的再循环废气的新鲜气体拟定了翻转流动,从而流入的新鲜气体的涡旋轴线尽可能垂直于活塞运动方向。由此一来,在分层的稀薄混合气运转时实现了在气缸内腔中的减少排放的最佳混合。

Claims (10)

1.一种直喷式内燃机,它具有一个减少NOx的废气后处理系统、一个内部废气再循环装置、分层的稀薄混合气运转状态和在流入的新鲜气体中的涡旋,其中所述涡旋具有一个主要垂直于活塞运动方向的涡旋轴线,其特征在于,通过充气运动来进行残余废气与被吸入的新鲜气体的混合。
2.如权利要求1所述的内燃机,其特征在于,所述涡旋是翻转运动。
3.如权利要求1或2所述的内燃机,其特征在于,通过在进气通道内的一块翻转板产生所述涡旋。
4.如权利要求1或2所述的内燃机,其特征在于,它是强迫点火的或者它是一台汽油机。
5.如权利要求1或2所述的内燃机,其特征在于,它还具有一个外部废气再循环装置。
6.如权利要求5所述的内燃机,其特征在于,该外部废气再循环装置受到冷却和/或配备有一个调节阀。
7.如权利要求1或2所述的直喷式内燃机,其特征在于,所述涡旋轴线与活塞运动成75°-105°。
8.如权利要求1或2所述的内燃机,其特征在于,所述的废气后处理借助一个NOx存储催化器来进行。
9.如权利要求1或2所述的内燃机,其特征在于,所述的废气后处理受一个NOx探测器控制地进行。
10.如权利要求1或2所述的直喷式内燃机,其特征在于,内部废气再循环通过使进气阀打开时间提前来进行。
