Abstract

Se describe un método para recuperar litio de una fuente acuosa. El litio se extrae de la fuente acuosa utilizando un proceso de sorción/desorción para formar un extracto de litio. Se eliminan impurezas del extracto de litio para formar un extracto de litio purificado y el extracto de litio purificado se concentra utilizando un proceso de eliminación de agua, para formar un concentrado de litio. El concentrado de litio luego se convierte en uno o más de carbonato de litio e hidróxido de litio para formar una corriente convertida. Varias corrientes, incluidas algunas corrientes que contienen litio, se reciclan para el proceso de sorción/desorción.
