Le col une fois mis en place ne peut plus se détacher fortuitement et la nuque n'est plus jamais soumise à une pression. De plus, la durée du bouton est illimitée, car, constitué d'une seule pièce et sans ressort, il est d'une solidité à toute épreuve.
