Description
Spritzwasser-Schutzdeckel zur Abdeckung von seitlichen Öffnungen an elektrischen Maschinen. Während es bei der Abdeckung von Öff nungen an elektrischen Maschinen, die gegen Tropfwasser geschützt sind, lediglich darauf ankommt, dass die Öffnungen gegen Wasser, das von oben oder schräg von oben einzutreten sucht, also nach oben hin, abgedeckt sind, müssen bei der Aufgabe, die Maschinen auch gegen anspritzendes Wasser zu schützen, die Abdeckungen so angeordnet sein, dass auch von der Seite oder von unten kein Spritz- wasser in die Maschine eindringen kann.
Dies geschieht durch die bekannten Schutzdeckel, die oben und am Seitenrand anliegen und unten offen sind, nur in unvoll kommener Weise. Nach der Erfindung soll daher der Verschlussdeckel die Motoröffnung nach unten überragen und sein unterer Rand derart in der Richtung nach dem Motor hin umgebogen oder eingezogen sein, dass der etwa muschelförmige Deckel nur gegen die Maschinenwände zu offen ist; aus der Motor öffnung austretende Luft wird dadurch nahe zu um 180 abgelenkt.
In der Zeichnung ist als Ausführungsbei- spiel die seitliche Lüftungsöffnung eines spritzwassergeschützten Drehstrommotors dargestellt. Die Öffnung b liegt etwa in der horizontalen Mittelebene des Motors a. Der muschelartig geformte Deckel d von halb ovalem Längsschnitt überragt die Öffnung b nach unten und lässt infolge Umbiegens seines unteren Randes c nach dem Motorgehäuse a zu eine Öffnung e frei, die der Öffnung b ent gegengerichtet ist. Aus dem Motor a austre tende Luft erfährt, wie die Pfeillinie andeu tet, eine Umlenkung von nahezu 180 . Seit lich oder von unten anspritzendes Wasser kann nicht in die Öffnung b hineingelangen.
In gleicher Weise kann die Klemmen öffnung abgedeckt werden.

In the drawing, the side ventilation opening of a splash-proof three-phase motor is shown as an exemplary embodiment. The opening b lies approximately in the horizontal center plane of the motor a. The shell-like shaped cover d of a semi-oval longitudinal section protrudes over the opening b downwards and, as a result of the bending over of its lower edge c to the motor housing a, leaves an opening e free which is opposite to the opening b. As the arrow line indicates, air emerging from the motor is deflected by almost 180. Water sprayed from the side or from below cannot get into opening b.
The terminal opening can be covered in the same way.
