Description
Verbindung metallischer Bauteile.
Auf der Zeichnung sind mehrere Ausfüh rungsbeispiele der Erfindung dargestellt, und zwar zeigen: Fig. 1 einen überlappten Blechstoss mit im Querschnittsprofil dreieckförmigen Nuten und Federn im Querschnitt (Fig. la) und in der Aufsicht (Fig. lb) auf das untere Blech;
Connection of metallic components. Share the connection of metallic construction, z. B. in shipbuilding, boiler and Be container construction, in the construction of apparatus for the chemical industry urd in the iron construction in general, mainly happens through rivets or bolts, which are secured ge by nuts, wedges or split pins. Theoretically, the Vernie should bezw. Bolting generates a resistance in the contact surfaces that is sufficient for the strength of the connection and that corresponds to the permissible soffit pressure of the connecting elements, so that the connecting elements are only exposed to tensile loads.
In fact, however, this requirement is not met, primarily due to the lack of machining of the contact surfaces. As a result, the connec tion elements (rivets, bolts) are claimed by transverse forces on shearing, so that one is required to rivets, respectively. Grab bolts; Particularly in the case of connections that are frequently exposed to changing loads (hulls, bridges) or frequent strong temperature changes (boilers, apparatus), this can easily lead to loosening and therefore frequent repairs.
This deficiency becomes all the more annoying when tightness is required of the connection at the same time.
The purpose of the present invention is to completely meet the requirement of the theory mentioned at the beginning, i. H. to relieve the connecting elements completely from lateral forces, only to be claimed on train and thus to eliminate the specified defects of the usual connections. This enables a considerable reduction in the number of connecting elements (rivets, bolts) both in terms of number and diameter.
At the same time, the type of connection achieves a natural metallic seal which, by eliminating caulking, offers significant economic advantages and increases the quality of the connection, since loosening due to the vibration during caulking is avoided.
The invention consists in incorporating grooves and tongues of any shape that fit into one another in the contact surfaces of the components to be connected (in such a number that the strength requirements are met without the load-bearing cross-section of the components being weakened more than this happens with the common connection types).
The tightness requirements are met by the fact that an intimate metallic contact is guaranteed by the machining of the mate rials during the production of the grooves and tongues and the interlocking grooves and tongues provide a labyrinth seal.
The drawing shows several exemplary embodiments of the invention, namely: Fig. 1 shows an overlapped sheet metal joint with grooves and tongues triangular in cross-sectional profile in cross section (Fig. La) and in plan view (Fig. Lb) of the lower sheet;
2 to 4 show some other cross-sectional shapes of the grooves and tongues, FIG. 5 the top view of a corner of a ship's skin sheet, FIG. 6 the longitudinal seam of a boiler with a double-tab connection on average. It should be expressly emphasized that these exemplary embodiments do not exhaust the execution options.
