Method for producing a heat-insulating composite profile, in particular for window and door frames
The invention relates to a method for producing a heat-insulating composite profile, in particular for window and door frames, consisting of two metallic partial profiles which, with webs facing one another in pairs, encompass and hold a non-metallic intermediate profile. Known constructions of this type generally require complex bonding and vulcanization processes in order to connect the heat-insulating part to the metal profiles. Other constructions in which dovetail-shaped mountings are provided again have the disadvantage that they can only transmit a displacement in the longitudinal direction through friction and thus insufficiently.
All these disadvantages are avoided according to the invention in that the partial profiles with the inserted intermediate profile run along the profile webs between gears or comb-like pressing tools, which press the web walls locally into the intermediate profile and thus connect all profile parts.
The subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawings, for example, wherein FIG. 1 illustrates a window construction and FIG. 2 illustrates a section along line 11-11 in FIG. Fig. 3 shows a modified form of the connection, while Fig. 4 illustrates the production with comb-like tools.
As you can see from the drawings, the frame profiles for the windows are made of two

2-through intermediate webs --4-- into which the heat-insulating part --3-- is inserted. For the final fastening, the profiles put together in this way are now passed between two gear-like rollers --5--, which locally deform the webs in a single operation so that their edges penetrate the heat-insulating part at the pressing points and ensure a shear and tensile strength connection .
In this way it is ensured that the partial profiles - 1, 2 - not only cannot be separated from one another, but also cannot be displaced relative to one another in the longitudinal direction and thus correctly transfer the shear stresses that occur when bending loads. This is essential with window frames. Instead of the rollers - 5 -, two comb-like pressing tools --6-- can also be used, as shown in FIG.
The invention is not limited to the illustrated embodiment, rather profiles of any kind can be connected to one another, the metal parts made of aluminum, steel and the like. Like. Can exist, while the heat-insulating part can be made of rubber or plastics of any kind. It is also possible to form a composite profile from a plastic and a metal profile.
