Method and device for the production of terry cloth. Terrycloths, also known as terry, have been produced on specially built weaving chairs, in which the terry effect, i.e. the small thread loops on one or both sides, were produced either by a movable leaf frame or by a drawer opening forward in two different positions .
According to the method according to the present invention, the means mentioned above are not required. According to the same, the terry animal chain is kept slack by optionally with reference to the fabric winding during the production of the terry effect evenly increased conveyance compared to the basic chain and pushed in each case with a certain weft that binds with this, the terry chain, through the leaf stop to form loops.
In the device used to carry out this method, at least one conveyor roller for the terry toweling chain and means are provided to divert the movement of the conveyor roller from the draw-in roller and to give the former a greater speed than the latter. In the drawing, three execution examples of the device used to carry out the method are shown schematically in a vertical step and in the rear view, as well as the terry fabrics produced therewith.
Figures 1 and 2 show the first example, Figures 3 and 4 the second and Figures 5 and 6 the third example; FIG. 7 shows the terry fabric produced with the device according to FIGS. 1 and 2, FIG. 8 with that according to FIGS. 3 and 4 and FIG. 9 the terry fabric produced with that according to FIGS. 5 and 6; Figures 10 and 11 illustrate the scheme in two stages.
In the example according to FIGS. 1 and 2, 1 denotes the sley rides the sheet 2, 3 the front fabric guide rail, 4 the draw-in roller. 5 the basic chain and 6 the terry chain. 7 denotes the rear of the chair frame 8 in pin 9 rotatably mounted conveyor roller, over which the towel chain 6 coming before) a non-drawn Ab winding roller is guided. 10 and 11 are guide rollers.
On the axis 12 of the conveyor roller, a chain wheel 13 is attached, which is connected by a chain 16 to a sprocket 15 loosely mounted on an axle pin 14 fixedly mounted on the frame 8. The sprocket 15 is firmly connected to an equiaxed sprocket 17, which is connected by means of a chain 18 of a sprocket 19 fixedly seated on the axis of the feed roller 4.
The procedure practiced with this device is now as follows: The barrel and the binding of the basic chain 5 with the weft are the usual ones and do not require any explanation. The feed roller 7 is driven by the feed roller 4 at a greater speed than that of the feed roller, so that the feed roller 7 delivers more terry chain 6 than the feed roller 4 draws in the terry and base chain.
The terry chain 6 is therefore slack. After a certain number of wefts, before there are 3 wefts (fix. 10), the loose terry warp threads 61 are now bound with the weft 20. With your next sheet advance and the weft 20 hits the earlier wefts 201 (fix. 11), the terry warp threads 61 are now carried along by the weft 20 and puffed up into the loops 62.
This forward pushing of the terry toweling chain 6 and the formation of the loops, which is independent of the usual draw-in by the draw-in roller 4, occurs after every third shot. The terry cloth produced in this way is illustrated by FIG. 7 on the left. If the terry chain 6 is only delivered in strips from the conveyor roller 7 (Fix. 2 right). This creates a terry cloth striped lengthways (Fix. 7 right).
In the embodiment of the device according to FIGS. 3 and 4, the sprocket 13 sits loosely on the axis 12 of the conveyor roller and has a toothed coupling ring 21 with which a sleeve 22 is attached to a sleeve 22 that is axially displaceable on said axis but rotatable on it Clutch wreath 23 can be engaged. The lever 24 displacing the sleeve 22 can be operated by a ratiere or a jacquard apparatus.
A spring 25 strives to couple the sleeve 22 with the sprocket 13 so that the ratios, respectively. the jacquard has to act only to one side. In this device, the conveyor roller 7 stands still at regular time intervals, whereby the Mehrförde tion of toweling chain is interrupted accordingly. When a full terry chain 6 is delivered through the conveyor roller 7 (fix. 4 left), a transversely striped terry fabric is created (fix. 8 left), and when a terry chain is delivered in strips (fix. 4 right), an interrupted, longitudinally striped terry fabric is created ( Fix. 8 right).
A device of a similar type is shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, but with two conveyor rollers 7 and 71 and with two terry chains 6 and 63, one of which, 6, is provided by weak lines, and the other, 6, by strong lines. The terry chains 6, 63 are delivered in strips by the conveyor rollers 7, 7, 1, the strips of one chain being laterally offset from those of the other.
The ratchet or jacquard apparatus acting on the control levers 24, 241 works in such a way that the one conveyor roller 71 respectively. 7 is coupled to the drive when the other, 7, respectively. 71 of which is uncoupled. A toothed wheel 26 is fixedly connected to the chain wheel 13 and carries the toothed ring 21 and engages in a toothed wheel 27 with a toothed ring 211 that is loosely seated on the axis 121 of the roller 7. In this ring, the ring gear of the sleeve 221, which is movable on the axis of the roller 7, can be engaged. This device produces a terry cloth with offset checkered effects (Fix. 9).
If necessary, more than two conveyor rollers and more than two terry chains can be used.
The method can be used for the production of terry cloth made of cotton, silk, wool, linen etc.
By changing the transmission ratio between the feed roller and the feed roller, the amount of additional feed to Frot animal chains can be changed.
