Abstract

In the knitwear, there is at least one knitwear region limited by a tension yarn (11) which is so tied by catch hooks into individual stitches of the adjacent knitwear that its two ends are located on the same edge side of the limited knitwear region. By a pull on the ends of the tension yarn (11), the edge of the knitwear region limited by the tension yarn is drawn together, and the knitwear region is thereby curved out of the knitwear plane as a whole or in a manner divided into individual portions. <IMAGE>

Description

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Gestrick besonderer Gestaltung.The invention relates to a knitted fabric of special design.

The invention has for its object to design a knitted fabric with a previously unknown pattern.

The stated object is achieved in that the knitted fabric has at least one knitted area which is delimited by a tension thread which, before the first row of stitches and after the last row of stitches of the knitted area, has tuck loops in individual stitches of the adjacent knitted fabric and / or in individual stitches of the bounded by him limited knitted area, such that its two ends are on the same edge side of the limited knitted area and by Pull at the two ends of the tension thread the knitted area delimited by it can be arched out of the knitted plane.

It is known from fabrics to weave in a drawstring or a drawstring with which the fabric, for example a trim tape for curtains, can then be gathered afterwards. Cords or ribbons can also be subsequently drawn into knitted fabrics, with which a piece of knitted fabric can be pulled together, for example in its edge or waist region. However, a knitted fabric designed according to the invention differs from this in that, in any area within a knitted fabric, this area is encircled by a tension thread, so that only the edge of this knitted area and the knitted area enclosed by the tension thread are pulled together by pulling on the two ends of the tension thread is bulged into a plastic pattern. Certain plastic shape patterns, such as rosettes or knobs, for example, can be produced by a specific guidance of the tension thread in the knitted fabric and / or by the formation and patterning of the knitted fabric area encompassed by the tension thread.

A knitted fabric designed according to the invention can be produced on a flat knitting machine or also on a circular knitting machine working in the pendulum. In particular, a two-bed flat knitting machine with thread guides is suitable, which can be released and taken up by the carriage at any desired location. The tension thread can either be inserted on both sides of the knitted area delimited by it with needles of one of the two needle beds in tucking handles, or else on one side alternately with needles of both needle beds to be processed into tuck handles. In the former case there is a bulging of the entire knitted area when pulling on the tension thread ends. In the second case, the tensioning thread also results in constrictions within the encompassed knitted area and its division into individual curved areas, as a result of which the individual knobs or rosettes, for example, can be formed.

A knitted fabric designed according to the invention permits the formation of a variety of plastic patterns, the effect of which can be further increased by patterning within the bulged knitted area or a special patterning of the un-gathered knitted area surrounding the archable knitted area. In this case, the knitted area delimited by the tensioning thread can advantageously be patterned differently with a different thread or threads than the adjacent knitted fabric or according to color and / or shape. The tension thread can expediently differ in strength and / or type and / or color from the threads used to manufacture the knitted area delimited by it, which not only facilitates the inclusion of its ends for arching the knitted area, but also, for example, by a final formation of loops with the tension thread ends can result in an additional patterning effect.

The knitted area delimited by the tension thread can be of single-surface or double-surface design. In a preferred method for knitting on a flat knitting machine, in the course of the formation of a single-surface or double-surface knitted fabric by one of the thread guides, it is possible to choose between any two positions of the slide path, a tension thread is inserted in the first slide adjustment direction at intervals into individual needles of the first and / or second needle bed in the catch position, then at least one sample thread is fed within the slide path distance determined by the two selected locations by means of at least one other thread guide and of all or individual needles Slid path distance to left / right or right / right stitches processed and finally the tension thread in the second carriage movement direction up to the first selected sled path point are inserted at intervals into individual needles of the first needle bed in the catch position by the thread guide assigned to it.

Two exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are explained in more detail below with the aid of the attached thread running representations.

Es zeigen:

  • Fig. 1 die Fadenlaufdarstellung zur Herstellung eines in Einzelbereiche aufgegliederten, durch den Spannfaden insgesamt auswölbbaren Gestrickbereiches;
Show it:
  • Figure 1 shows the thread running representation for producing a knitted area broken down into individual areas, which can be arched out overall by the tension thread;
  • Fig. 2 is a thread representation of a knitted area which can be arched out from the inserted tension thread to form individual knobs.

In the figures, the double rows of lines arranged one below the other symbolize the needles of the front needle bed v and the rear needle bed h of a flat knitting machine. The double rows are from above consecutively numbered down. Only the thread course of a pattern thread 10, with which a limited knitted area is formed, and a tension thread 11, which includes this limited pattern area, is shown, not the thread or threads with which the knitted fabric surrounding the knitted area of interest here is made.

In the knitted area shown in FIG. 1 within a knitted fabric, a tension thread 11 drawn with a thick line coming from the left is detected in the catching position by individual needles of the front needle bed v, that is to say inserted into these needles to form tucked handles. The needles can hold stitches of the basic knitted fabric, not shown. During the next carriage stroke, a pattern thread 10 coming from the left is fed into the course 2 and processed into right / left stitches by a plurality of needles of the front needle bed v lying side by side. During the return movement of the carriage, a short course 3 is formed by the same needles of the front needle bed v, then a longer row 4 of double the length of the courses 2 and 3 by a larger number of needles of the front needle bed v the course 4 newly added needles of the front needle bed v two more short courses 5 and 6 formed from right / left stitches. Finally, the knitted area is ended by the formation of a long course 7 with the same needles that also formed the course 4. Subsequently, during a slide movement from right to left, the tensioning thread 11 is again inserted into individual needles of the front needle bed v to catch handles. The two ends of the tension thread 11 in the stitch Row 1 and 8 are therefore both on the same side of the knitted area which extends over the courses 1 to 8.

The remaining knitted fabric is then developed from the threads, not shown. After its completion, the knitted area formed by the pattern thread 10 is pulled together at its edge by pulling on the two ends of the tension thread 11, and is thereby arched outward from the plane of the remaining knitted fabric. The short courses 2 and 3 and 5 and 6 form two individual, side-by-side bulges, which are connected to each other by the course 4. It goes without saying that the knitted area enclosed by the tensioning thread 11 can comprise more than just 6 rows of stitches. It can also be kept longer or shorter. Stitch rows 2 to 7 could also consist of right / right stitches or partly right / left stitches and partly right / right stitches.

In the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, the tension thread 11 coming from the left is inserted in the stitch row 1 into individual needles of the front needle bed v as well as into individual needles of the rear needle bed h to catch handles. Subsequently, 10 rows of stitches of different lengths are knitted from the right / left stitches of needles of the front needle bed v in the courses 2-7 with a pattern thread. Finally, in the course 8, the tensioning thread 11 is inserted again, now from right to left to individual tucking handles, now only in individual needles of the front needle bed v. When exercising on the back on the same side of the train Formed knitted area lying ends of the tension thread 11 is not only - as in the embodiment of FIG. 1 - the edge of the knitted area contracted. At the points marked A and B in the course 1, where tuck loops are formed by needling the rear needle bed h, there is also a constriction of the knitted area when pulling on the ends of the tension thread 11, so that the knitted fabric formed by the pattern thread 10 in three individual areas is arched. In this way, according to the selected distribution of the tuck loops in the course 1, any pinch-off patterns can be achieved on needles of the two needle beds, for example rosettes.
