Description
Device for automatically holding drive belts taut. In order to keep a drive belt taut automatically during operation or to enlarge the spanned arc of the small pulley in belt drives with a gear ratio different from 1, a tension pulley has been used for many years, the tension of which is counterbalanced by its own weight and a mostly adjustable closing Set or counterweight is given, the additional or counterweight also being replaced by the force of one or more springs. can be. For technical reasons, it is necessary to let the tension pulley act on the drawn strand of the belt.
The invention now relates to belt transmissions with alternating force direction, in which either the sense of rotation changes or the machine drives once and the other time it is driven. According to the invention, therefore, two tensioning rollers are used which do not run on the same strand of the belt.
In the drawing, which shows several Ausfüh approximately examples of the subject matter of the invention, a each denotes the small pulley and b the belt; with c and d, the two bleach-sized tensioning rollers are marked, which are arranged symmetrically to the connection plane of the axis of the small pulley u with the axis of the large pulley. Fig. 1 and 2 are examples of hori zontal, Fig. 3 to 5 those for vertical belt drive.
According to Fig. 1, the tension of the upper run is only through the own weight of the tension pulley c (along with the handlebar) he aims, while the lower run is tensed by the external weight e. According to Fig. 2, the two weights e are used to equalize the roller weights, while the tension of the belt is achieved by the common spring f.
In the vertical drive according to FIG. 3, the tensioning rollers c and d are suspended from angle levers g, h and are jointly connected to a lever. Acting Ge weight (force link) c a, pressed: the forces exerted by the weight are indicated by arrows.
The two embodiments according to Fib. 4 and 5 differ only in that, according to FIG. 4, the two rollers, c and d are suspended pendulum at separate points. while according to Fig. 5 on the suspension axis for the pendulum members of both roles is common. In both cases, the belt tension is generated by a spring f as a common force element.
