Es wurde gefunden, dass man den     metall-          empfindlichen        Azofarbstoff    aus dianotierter       1-Amirio-2-oxynaphtalin-4-stilfosäure    und     1-          Plienyl-3-rnethyl-5-pyrazolon    durch Behand  lung in der Wärme mit einfach     cbromsauren     Salzen, am besten bei Gegenwart eines     lle-          duktionsinittels    und eines     alkalibindenden          Allittels,    z.

   B.     Ammonirunsulfat    und     Natrium-          thiosulfat    in einen     chromhaltigen    sauren       Farbstoff    überführen kann, welcher das Chrom  in maskierter Bindung enthält, indem das  selbe aus der wässerigen Lösung durch Soda,  Natronlauge oder Ammoniak nicht gefällt  wird.  



  Der     Farbstoff    ist wasserlöslich, säure  beständig, nicht kupferempfindlich und färbt  animalische Fasern aus saurem Bad in walk  und lichtechten blauroten Tönen.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  5 Teile des     Azofarbstoffes    aus dianotierter       1-Amino-2-oxynaphtalin-4-sulfosä        ure    und     1-          Phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolon    und 1,5 Teile       Kaliumehromat    werden in 125 Teilen Wasser  eine Stunde gekocht, wobei die     ursprünglich     braunorange Farbe der Lösung blaurot gewor  den ist.
