Advanced cinematographic projector apparatus. The object. of the invention is a cinematographic projection apparatus, established with a view to ensuring that the duration of advance of the film after each projection of an image is very short. It comprises, for this purpose, established between a continuous movement member and the drum drive pins of the film, a device for transmitting to the latter sudden rotational movements between the stopping times, which device comprises a barrel containing at least one spring which stores energy during the exposure time of an image, during which time the film driving pin drum is immobilized by an exhaust device driven by the same continuously moving member ,
said spring acting to cause an abrupt rotation of the pin drum as soon as the latter is left free to rotate by the exhaust device. This gives it a very fast rotation speed independent of the speed of the general control shaft of the device. In this way, we can. achieve an extremely short film advance, so that in most cases the shutter can be removed.
The accompanying drawing partially shows, by way of example, an apparatus according to the invention.
Fig. 1 is. a cut through the said positive say; Figs. \ 'to 5 relate to details. The movement (the general control of the device (not shown) is transmitted to the pinion i which is idle on the shaft 2; this pinion 1 in turn controls the pinion 3 secured to the pinion 4 by their common axis @, the pinion 4 meshing. Itself on the pinion 6 mounted on the shaft 7 which carries the exhaust part 21, 211. On the shaft 2, which carries the drum with pins 15, is fixed a part 27, 271 coacting with gold 21, 21 '.
The pinion 4 controls an internally toothed barrel 10, which is not fixed on the shaft 2, but which rests on ball bearings 13, 14. The shaft 2 is. connected to the barrel 10 by means of two reverse coil springs 11 and 12, each of which has its internal ends. fixed on the shaft 2, tan say that the outer ends come to stop against notches formed inside the barrel 10. The barrel 10 is mechanically connected with the pinion 6 through the intermediate of the pinion 4.
If the pinion 1 (fig. 2) is rotated in a continuous movement according to arrow 17, the barrel 10 will rotate according to arrow 18 and will cause in its movement the outer ends of the spiral springs i1 and 12; it is necessary to use the reverse springs, because it is sometimes necessary to turn upside down.
The exhaust system is shown separately. in side view in fig. 3; figs. 4 and 5 are detailed views.
The element mounted on the shaft 7 is formed of a half-disc 21, integral with a circular sleeve, and another half-disc 211, also integral with a circular sleeve, the face of front of this half-disc N11 being at the level of the rear face of the other half-disc 21.
In contact with the conference cir of these half-discs 21, 211, is the hub 25, not shown in FIG. 1, which is integral with four star teeth 27, 2'i, 2i \, 271; those 27, 27 are in the same plane crue the half-disc 21 and those 271. 271 are arranged in the plane of the half-disc 211.
The shaft 7 rotating in the direction of arrow 28 (fig. 3) and. with the parts in the position shown in this figure, there comes a time. where the point 29 of the half-disc 21'- is opposite the point 30 of the tooth 271; the latter immediately escapes this half-disc 211 and the star 27, 271 is not.
more restrained and obeying the action of the springs # 11, 12 of the barrel 10, turns according to the arrow 31, which allows the shaft 2 to turn quickly. a quarter. turn by dragging the spiked drum 15; the stopping of the star takes place as soon as the tooth 27 which follows that 271 which has just been abandoned, meets the half-clisk 21 which is in front.
To frame the images, it is enough simply. to have on the housing 19, containing the toothed wheels controlling the barrel 10, a toothed part 20, concentric with the axis \ N, meshing with a pinion 32 integral with a shaft 33. This shaft is terminated on one side by a cone 34 pushed by a spring 35 against a reverse cone 36, so as to ensure the locking thereof.
The other end of the shaft 37 is used to maneuver the frame, which is done as follows: By pushing on the shaft, the spring 35 is compressed by releasing part 34 of the part. 36, which makes it possible to rotate the shaft 33 and, consequently., The pin gnon 32 meshing with the part 20 of the housing 19, the latter will therefore rotate around the shaft 2; the framing is thus obtained without any difficulty and without it being necessary to make any correction to the shutter.
