Vessel capable of storing heat. The subject of the invention is a heat-accumulating vessel which can be used for cooking food, for keeping liquids or solid bodies warm or for similar purposes. Known vessels of the specified type have the disadvantage that they require a long time as a result of the use of heat-insulating materials as wall materials to heat their contents and to store a sufficient amount of heat, so that usually the heating of the inbaltes in another vessel precedes the filling or insertion got to.
Vessels made from good heat conductors can be heated well by the bottom, but the strong dissipation of heat through the jacket and cover causes great heat losses and rapid cooling of the contents; they are therefore unsuitable for the purposes mentioned above.
According to the invention, these disadvantages are eliminated in that the vessel wall consists of a material that conducts heat well and that the vessel wall is formed as a double wall at least on the casing part and on the cover, the space between which is filled with heat-insulating material of high heat storage capacity.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, namely in Figure 1 in longitudinal section; Fig. 2 shows a subset.
a is a part of the inner side wall and the bottom of a C-barrel and a material that conducts heat well, such as iron. Aluminum, copper, etc. The jacket part of the vessel is designed as a double wall with the help of the outer wall b. A double-walled cover c, cl is also arranged.
Between the double walls there is an intermediate layer d made of heat-insulating material with a high heat storage capacity, such as pebbles, pieces of quartz, river sand, etc. The outer walls b, cl also consist of good heat conductors. Part a consists. advantageously from a single piece, while the outer jacket can be attached in any conventional manner, since no special and tight closure of the space is neces sary. The parts a, b, c, cÚ and d together form the vessel.
Through the bottom of the vessel, rapid heating of the vessel contents can take place, while the intermediate layer between tween the double walls on the one hand prevents heat loss, on the other hand stores heat that, respectively, after the end of cooking to keep the vessel contents warm. used for cooking after parboiling.
In order to be able to keep the contents of the vessel warm, as FIG. 2 shows, a base can be provided. This pedestal has a double wall e, f, between the parts of which a filling gans insulating bodies is provided against heat emission. The upper wall part e of the base is designed according to the profile of the lower part of the vessel, so that the vessel and base fit well into one another and heat losses through the bottom of the vessel a are avoided as far as possible. By using the base, the vessel is made into a cooking box.
