Dewar's vessel.

appropriate and improved shape obtained.
For this purpose, the arc-like grooves of the walls are arranged in a helical manner and, at the same time, to increase the break resistance, the inner and outer walls are screwed into one another with such a small mutual spacing that not only the oscillation of the inner tube with its free-floating parts near the bottom is limited, but also the thermal insulation remains upright. In another embodiment for a Dewars vessel according to the invention, the grooves can be arranged parallel to the cylinder axis.
Furthermore, the grooves on the outside of the outer wall can be filled with a heat-insulating, light and pressure-resistant material so that the overall strength of the vessel is further increased and at the same time the heat radiation from the surface enlarged by the grooves remains as small as possible.
Finally, the heat-insulating, light and pressure-resistant material which fills the grooves on the outside of the outer wall can be shaped into an ellipsoid of revolution

cut towards the middle due to the thickening of the material.
In Fig. I the Dewar's vessel is shown in section, in which the grooves on both sides of the walls run helically. Fig. 2 shows the cross section of a vessel with grooves parallel to the cylinder axis. FIG. 3 shows the filling of the outer wall grooves with the heat-insulating, lightweight and pressure-resistant material, while FIG. 4
