Electric winch with automatic shut-off device. The object of the present invention is an electric winch with an automatic stop device.
The accompanying drawing shows an embodiment thereof given by way of example.
Fig. 1 is an elevation thereof, and FIG. 2 a plan; Figs. 3 to 5 are. on a larger scale key schematic details of major organs.
On a common foundation plate 1. the electric motor 2 and the winch drum are mounted. The latter comprises a shaft 5, supported by two trestles 6 and carries at one of its ends a toothed wheel i meshing with a pinion 8 which is actuated from the motor shaft 9 by means of an endless screw housed in a housing 10.
The starting rheostat 11, fixed on a support 12 adjoining the foundation plate 1, is provided with a control handle 13, drawn in FIG. 1 in the stop position, the positions of the lever for raising 13 'and for lowering 13 "are shown in phantom lines. The lever 7.3 fixed to the shaft 14 of the rheostat is secured to two pulleys 15 , with grooves, which are connected to two pulleys 16, with grooves, of the automatic control mechanism for starting and stopping, by means of two crossed cables 17, shown in Figures 1 and 2 in phantom lines.
This mechanism comprises a control bar 18 with return springs, one of the ends of which forms a rack 19, actuated from the rheostat 11 by the grooved pulleys 16 by means of the toothed wheel 20. , propped up on a common tree 21.
On the same shaft are also placed a keyed wheel 22, having on its rim two notches 23 and 24 corresponding to two key automatic operating positions the bucket as well as a second wheel 25, idle on the shaft 21, provided with two stops 26 and. 27 whose positions can be adjusted at will, following the path to run by the bucket. .between the two stops. For this purpose, the stops are fixed by means of bolts 28 and 29, the heads of which can move in a circular slide in one (the side faces of the wheel 25.
11-ii lever 30, engagement and release, which can oscillate on a lon pin 31. fixed to the support 6, is provided on one of its faces, at the point of. tangency with the wheels 22 and 25, of a tooth 32, which can be housed in one or the other of the notches 23 or 24 and on the other face of a cam 33, making it possible to lift the lever 30 to the con tact of the cam with one of the stops 26 or 27. The lever 30 is kept pressed on the wheels 22 and 25 by the spring 34, in order to surer the gear of the tooth 32 in one of the notches 23 , resp. 24 as well as the contact, with the stops 28 and 29.
During the travel of the bucket, connected to the drum 4 by the cable 35, the shaft 5 of the winch actuates the wheel 25 by means of an intermediate gear which aims to reduce the speed thus transmitted to the wheel 25. This gear intermediate comprises pinion 36 which actuates the toothed wheel 3'i, on the shaft 38 of which is fixed a pin 39 which meshes with the rim 40, in the form of a toothed ring, of the wheel 25.
The other end of the control bar 18 is provided with a double return spring formed by two coils 40 and 41 separated from each other by a peg 42, fixed to the bar 1.8. The tension of the springs can be adjusted by the nuts 11a and 44 mounted on the rod supporting the springs.
In its middle part, the control bar 18 has on its lower face a recess 46 in the form of an arc of a circle against which rests a roller I17, the pin of which is fixed on a vertical bar 48 able to move. Clans two guides 49 and 50 fixed to the support 12. The bar 48 controls a brake 51 acting on a pulley 52 placed on the shaft 9 of the motor 2 (FIG. 5). The brake 51 is articulated to a lever 53 which can oscillate on a journal 54 fixed to the support 55.
The brake 51 is constantly applied to the pulley 52 by means of a spring. 56 attached to the lever 53, as long as shit the roller 4% is in the recess 46 of the bar 18. To loosen it, it is the bar 48 which, when it moves down, under the ac - t.ion of the pebble. 47 being on the lower edge of the bar 18, pushes the lever 53 in the same direction and. releases the pulley 52. An adjusting screw 5'7 makes it possible to limit the stroke, (read lever 53 and to compensate for the wear of shoe 51 of the brake.
Finally, a locking device is adapted to the control bar 18 in order to avoid the false maneuvers that one could commit by means of the lever 13 of the starting rheostat 11. by wanting to move it, for example, with two successive times in the same direction.
This device comprises an arm 58 which can oscillate via one of its ends on the fixed journal 59. to the support. 12. and the other end 60 of which is attached, to a return spring 61 anchored at 62 to the support 12.
The arm 58 is provided with two lever 63 and 63 'arranged symmetrically with respect to an axis passing through the points 59--60 of the arm. The ends of the levers 63 and 63 'rest alternately on a prominent part 64 of the bar 18, limited by two protrusions 65 and 66 so that the stroke of the bar is stopped by one of the levers 63 resp. 63 'when it is in the notch of the projection 65 resp. 66.
Two pins 65 'and. 66 'are. fixed on the prominent part. 64 of the bar 18, on each of the projections and serve. in pushing, during the stroke of the bar 18, the end 60 of the arm 58 in one direction or in the other, with a view to bringing one or the other of the levers 03, resp. 63 'in the corresponding notch.
This operation is carried out by means of the spring 61, which, when the arm 58 is pushed in one direction or the other and exceeds the neutral position, marked out by the line passing through points 62-59- 60, done, tilt this arm 58 in the opposite direction to bring the other lever into contact. with the prominence 64. The operation of the mechanism is as follows: By moving the lever 13 to the right. for example in the direction of arrow 67 (fig. 1) towards position 13 ", the electric motor is started which unwinds the cable 35 and lowers the bucket.
The movement of the lever drives the pulleys 1.6 by means of the cable 17 (in the direction indicated by the arrow 68 (fig. 3). The toothed wheel 20 simultaneously moves the control bar 18 by means of the rack 19 to right, in the direction marked by arrow 69 (fig. 3).
The wheel 22 rotates until the end 24 comes under the tooth 32 of the lever 30, allowing its engagement in the size by virtue of the action of the spring 34. The control bar being moved to the right, in the direction of arrow 69 (fig. 3) com prime the spring 41 while releasing the brake 51 by the pressure exerted on the lever 53 by means of the bar 48 which is lowered by the bed roller on which the lower edge of the bar 18 acts.
For its part, the rotation (the drum i drags the wheel 25, by the reduction gears 36-37 and 39-i0, in the direction indicated by the arrow -70 (fig. 3). do the rotation, the stop 29 which corresponds to the position of automatic operation of the bucket when it arrives at the lower end stop, will approach the hull 33 of the lever, the contact of these two bodies will lift the latter by disengaging tooth 32 from notch 24.
At this moment, the control bar 18 will move, under the action of the relaxation of the spring 41, to the left, in the direction indicated by the arrow 71 (fig. 4) and the rack 19 will turn the pulleys 16 in. in the opposite direction to arrow 68 (fig. 3). This movement will be transmitted to the pulleys 15 by the cable 17 and the net ma will return (its position 13 "in the initial position 13 corresponding to the stop.
The movement of the control bar 18 to the left, will allow the roller 47 to resume its place at the top of the recess 46, so that, under the action of the spring -56, the brake 51 will tighten the pulley 52 fixed on ar ber 9 of motor 2, stopping rotation (the latter.
The locking device prevents a false operation of the lever 13, if one wanted to move it, for example, once to the right, in the direction 13 ", to lower the bucket lower. Indeed, during the first operation of the joystick. 13 to the right, in the direction of arrow 6'7; end. 1) the movement of the control bar 18 to the right, in the direction of arrow 69 (end. 3) had the effect to raise the lever 63 'by pushing the pin 65' on the end 60 (the arm 58.
After passing from neutral, the spring 61. caused the arm to swing around the journal 59 so that the lever 63 came to rest on the protrusion 64 of the bar 18, and, in limit switch, its end was housed in the notch of the projection 65. At the time of release, when the bar 18 is pushed back to its initial position by the relaxation of the spring 41, the pin 66 'returns to the left, until 'near the end 60 of the arm 58 in order to be ready to move the locking device down the next time the lever 13 is operated to the left, in the direction of 13' and thus to bring the lever 63 'back in the notch of the projection 66.
In its position described in the notch of the projection 65, the lever 63 establishes an automatic locking which prevents a second operation of the net ma 13 on the right towards 13 ", in the direction cites arrow 67 (fig. 1) .
The inanceuvre of the lever 13 is therefore only possible in the direction 7.3 ', which corresponds to the running of the winch for the lifting of the bucket. By moving the lever 13 to the left, towards 13 ', the cable transmission acts by the toothed wheel 20 on the mesh 19 by pushing the control bar 18 to the left, in the direction of the arrow 71 (fig. 4). Slow 32 of lever 30 will engage in notch 23 and the locking device will swing to engage lever 63 'in notch of projection 66. Drum 4 will rotate in the opposite direction to the arrow. of Fig. 1 and the bucket will rise.
By the time it reaches the upper terminal station, cam 33 of lever 30 will have touched stop 28 and disengaged tooth 32 of size 23. At this time, control bar 18 will return to the right, brought back by the return springs 40 and 41. which will cause the return of the lever 13 to its vertical position, corresponding to the engine stop. Simultaneously, the brake 51 will clamp the shaft of the electric motor and stop its rotation.
The position of the lever 63 in the notch 66 will prevent a new manipulation of the lever 13 to the left; towards 13 'so that this maneuver can only be carried out for the descent Cie la benne, that is to say to the right, towards 13 ".
