The invention relates to a device for cutting textile and non-textile fabrics according to the preamble of claim 1.
From the embroidery cut-out areas of the embroidery material are known. They are usually produced after completion of the embroidery process by suitable hand-held knives or scissors. In industrial embroidery machines with multi-needle heads, for example, individual needles are replaced by knives or cutting needles with which the cutting work is carried out. In such an embroidery machine, as described in WO98 / 24962, the knives are arranged in different cutting angle positions and are used alternately according to the auszuschneidenden contour. Such complex devices can not be used on household sewing machines.
An object of the present invention is therefore to provide a device for cutting textile and non-textile fabrics, which can be used on household sewing machines.
This object is achieved by a device according to the features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments of the device are described in the dependent claims.
The inventive device can be attached to any sewing machine, whether new or old, and put into use. It is therefore possible without intervention in the mechanics of the sewing machine, cutting work on sewing or embroidery manually or, if embroidery programs are stored, semi-automatic or fully automatic perform. In a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, if present, the embroidery frame drive, in which the fabric to be cut is clamped, can be used as an actuator for the angular adjustment of the cutting edge on the cutting needle. In a further advantageous embodiment of the zigzag drive can be used as an actuator for the angular adjustment of the cutting blade of the cutting blade.
Based on illustrated embodiments, the invention will be explained in more detail. Show it
<Tb> FIG. 1 <sep> is a perspective view of the mounting area for the presser foot and the sewing needle on a sewing machine,
<Tb> FIG. 2 <sep> an enlarged view of a rotating device for a cutting needle and
<Tb> FIG. 3 <sep> a horizontal section through the rotating device with a view of an embroidery frame with an actuating element,
<Tb> FIG. 4 <sep> is a perspective view of the rotating device and the embroidery frame and the presser foot bar with a toothed segment as an actuating element,
<Tb> FIG. 5 <sep> is a perspective view of the rotating device and the presser foot bar with an actuating element,
<Tb> FIG. 6 <sep> a horizontal section along line VI-VI in Fig. 5th
In Fig. 1, reference numeral 1 designates a part of a sewing machine upper arm with the lower ends of the presser foot bar 3 and the needle bar 5. On the cone 7 for receiving the presser foot, the presser foot is not put on for the sake of clarity.
In the bore (not visible) at the lower end of the needle bar 5, a rotating device 9 is inserted or fixed by means of the existing clamping device 11. The clamping device 11 is a standard part of the sewing machine, with which the upper end of the sewing needle can be picked up and attached.
In the enlarged view of the device 9, a cylindrical mandrel 13 with a lateral flattening 15 is visible above. The mandrel 13 with the flattening 15 corresponds to the upper end (shaft) of a commercially available sewing needle. Subsequently to the mandrel 13 a rotatably arranged on the latter wing 17 is visible, which is held axially by a support plate 19. The support plate 19 is rotatably connected to the mandrel 13 and supports the wing 17 axially. Coaxially with the mandrel 13 is below the support disk 19 by means of a fastener, e.g. a screw 21 (not shown), attached to the cutting needle 16 a cutting needle 23. The cutting needle 23 is provided at the upper end with the shaft of a sewing needle. At the lower end of the cutting needle 23, a cutting edge 25 is formed.
This can be formed straight or curved running (compare cutting geometries according to W098 / 24 962).
In the wing 17, a helical spring 29 is inserted in a direction perpendicular to the mandrel 13 and the axis A bore 27, which presses a provided with a conical tip detent pin or a detent ball 31 to the periphery of the support plate 19. In the support disk 19 dome-shaped or conical recesses 33 are formed, in which engage the tip of the detent pin 31 and the wing 17 and the cutting needle 23 can hold in the set angular position. The individual dome-shaped or conical depressions 33 are, for example, at an angle of 45 ° to each other, so that the cutting edge 25 of the cutting needle 23 can be pivoted and locked in steps of 45 °. Of course, other angular steps, e.g. 30 °, may be provided.
The rotary device 9 can be provided with a scale, whereby the set angle of rotation can be read (FIG. 2).
Instead of a locking device with a radially acting detent pin 31 of course, a locking device could be provided which engages axially in the top of the support plate 19 (not shown).
The adjustment of the angle of rotation of the cutting edge 25 takes place with manual operation by the seamstress by setting the cutting edge 25 of the cutting needle 23 by hand, each time a change in the auszuschneidenden contour. Alternatively, the angle change command of the cutting needle 23 may be displayed on a sewing machine sewing machine programmed by the embroidering program.
In Fig. 3, which shows the top view of an embroidery frame 35 and the embroidery frame 35 in directions X and Y driving embroidery module 37, the rotating device 9 and the lower end of the presser foot bar 3 is shown in section. On the cutting needle holder 16 of the rotating device 9, a gear segment 39 is formed as a driver, which can be brought into operative connection with a coupling member 41 on the drive module 37 or on the embroidery frame 35. The example fork-shaped coupling member 41 makes it possible to perform the pivoting of the rotating device 9 without manual intervention.
In this way, with an existing drive means, here the embroidery frame drive (embroidery module 37), the pivoting movement of the cutting needle 23 are performed by the embroidery frame 35 is brought in high-positioned cutting needle 23 with the coupling member 41 in meshing engagement with the gear segment 39 and the rotation angle of Cutting needle 23 re-sets.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the pivoting movement, i. the setting of the cutting edge 25 of the cutting needle 23, effected by means of the drive for the zig-zag mode of the needle bar 5.
In FIGS. 4 to 6 fork-shaped or tooth-shaped coupling members 41 are arranged on the presser foot bar 3. These serve, as in the second embodiment according to FIG. 3, for adjusting the angle of rotation of the rotary device 9 with the gear segment in a positive engagement. To effect this engagement and thus the rotation of the cutting needle 23, the needle bar 5 is lowered or raised until the gear segment 39 is within the coupling member 41. Now, with the drive for the zig-zag mode, the needle bar 5 with the rotating device attached thereto can be moved either in the direction of the arrow A, i. in Fig. 6 to the left, or in the direction of the arrow B, i. in Fig. 6 to the right, be pivoted. By the pivoting movement of the toothed segment 39 and with this the rotary device 9 is pivoted either clockwise or counterclockwise.
The pivoting movement does not have to correspond exactly to the desired locking rotational angle, but only approximately, since the definitive and exact rotational angle adjustment is achieved by the locking pin 31. Of course, between the fork-shaped coupling member 41 and the teeth on the gear segment 39 sufficient clearance must be present so that these two elements during the cutting process, when the sector gear always passes through the coupling member 41 vertically, do not touch. If the cutting needle 23 is rotated by more than one locking angle, the process must be repeated. For this controlled by the embroidery program of the sewing machine rotation angle adjustment of the rotating device 9 consequently only the fork-shaped coupling element 41 must be attached to the presser foot bar 3.
If the rotary device 9 is adjusted manually, no problems arise because the gear segments 39 always pass without contact when cutting through the coupling member 41.
