[0001] La présente invention concerne une montre à bracelet interchangeable, permettant à l'utilisateur de changer le bracelet de manière rapide et sans outil.
[0002] On connaît par le document WO 98/34 163 une telle montre à bracelet interchangeable, dans laquelle deux rainures séparées sont pratiquées sur la face latérale interne de chaque corne de la boîte de montre, ces rainures coopérant avec deux ergots respectifs faisant saillie sur un bord longitudinal du bracelet. Dans cette montre, la liaison entre le bracelet et la boîte de montre est robuste, du fait que le bracelet a deux points d'appui dans chaque corne, mais le risque de détachement accidentel du bracelet est relativement élevé.
[0003] La présente invention vise à remédier à cet inconvénient et propose pour ce faire une montre selon la revendication 1 annexée, des formes d'exécution particulières étant définies dans les revendications dépendantes 2 à 11, ainsi qu'une boîte de montre et un brin de bracelet selon les revendications 12 et 13 respectivement.

[0005] En référence aux fig. 1à 6, la montre-bracelet selon l'invention comprend une boîte de montre 1 et un bracelet 2 à maillons rigides représenté sur les figures par une partie de l'un de ses deux brins. La boîte de montre 1 est munie à deux extrémités opposées, situées respectivement à 6h et 12h, de deux paire de cornes 3. Dans la face latérale interne 3a de chacune des cornes 3 est formée une rainure 4. La rainure 4 coopère avec deux ergots 5, 6 correspondants faisant saillie latéralement sur un bord longitudinal d'un brin du bracelet 2 à une extrémité dudit brin. L'un des ergots, dit petit ergot 5, a une section de forme circulaire.
L'autre ergot, dit grand ergot 6, a une section de forme annulaire et des diamètres interne et externe supérieurs au diamètre du petit ergot 5, et est plus proche de la face d'extrémité du brin de bracelet 2 que le petit ergot 5. A l'intérieur du grand ergot 6 est logée une bille d'encliquetage 7 soumise à l'action d'un ressort (non représenté) à l'intérieur du bracelet.
[0006] La rainure 4 a une forme sinueuse et une largeur variable. Elle est constituée d'une partie d'entrée rectiligne 8 orientée sensiblement perpendiculairement au plan de la boîte 1 et débouchant sur la face inférieure 3b de la corne 3, d'une partie intermédiaire oblique 9 prolongeant la partie d'entrée 8 depuis l'extrémité supérieure de cette dernière et orientée vers le haut de la corne 3 et vers l'intérieur de la boîte 1, et d'une partie terminale 10 prolongeant la partie intermédiaire 9 depuis l'extrémité supérieure de cette dernière et orientée sensiblement parallèlement au plan de la boîte 1 vers l'extérieur de la boîte 1.
[0007] La largeur de la partie d'entrée 8 est adaptée au diamètre du grand ergot 6 de sorte que les deux ergots 5, 6 ne peuvent passer que successivement dans la partie d'entrée 8, le petit ergot 5 étant introduit en premier comme montré sur la fig. 3. La partie terminale 10 définit à son extrémité fermée une encoche 11 dont la taille est adaptée au diamètre du petit ergot 5 de façon à constituer un logement pour celui-ci, comme montré à la fig. 5.
[0008] Un évidement rectiligne 12, de forme cylindrique se terminant en une partie sphérique, est formé dans le fond de la rainure 4 depuis la face inférieure 3b de la corne 3, à travers la partie d'entrée 8, jusque dans la partie de rainure intermédiaire 9. Un autre évidement 13, séparé de l'évidement rectiligne 12, et de forme sphérique, est formé dans le fond de la rainure 4, en un point situé dans le coude défini par la partie intermédiaire 9 et la partie terminale 10. La forme et les dimensions des évidements 12, 13 sont adaptées à celles de la bille d'encliquetage 7. Le reste du fond de la rainure 4 est à une profondeur constante par rapport à la face latérale interne 3a de la corne 3.
[0009] Pour fixer l'extrémité du brin de bracelet 2 à la boîte 1, l'utilisateur oriente le brin de bracelet 2 approximativement perpendiculairement au plan de la boîte 1 (cf. fig. 2) et l'introduit entre les deux cornes 3 en plaçant ladite extrémité, comportant deux paires d'ergots 5, 6, au-dessous de la boîte 1. Puis il remonte le brin de bracelet 2 pour introduire les ergots 5, 6 successivement dans les rainures 4 (fig. 3) et les guider dans ces dernières jusqu'à ce que les petits ergots 5 arrivent à proximité de la paroi supérieure 4a des rainures 4 voire touchent cette paroi supérieure 4a (fig. 4). Pendant ce mouvement du brin de bracelet 2, les billes d'encliquetage 7 logées dans les grands ergots 6 entrent et se déplacent dans les évidements rectilignes 12 et restent ainsi au repos.
Par un mouvement de rotation de l'extrémité du brin de bracelet 2, l'utilisateur vient ensuite placer les petits ergots 5 dans leur logement 11 (fig. 5), ce qui fait sortir les billes d'encliquetage 7 des évidements rectilignes 12, entraînant un effacement desdites billes 7 dans les grands ergots 6 à rencontre de leur ressort. En continuant le mouvement de rotation, qui s'effectue alors autour de l'axe des petits ergots 5 calés dans leur logement 11, l'utilisateur amène les grands ergots 6 en butée contre la paroi supérieure 4a des rainures 4, dans la partie terminale 10 (fig. 6). Dans cette position, les billes d'encliquetage 7 sont en regard des évidements sphériques 13 et sont donc poussées par leur ressort dans ces évidements 13 pour verrouiller de manière réversible la liaison entre l'extrémité du brin de bracelet 2 et la boîte 1.
Le brin de bracelet 2 est ainsi solidement couplé à la boîte 1 dans une position angulaire par rapport à celle-ci permettant la mise au poignet de la montre. Pour détacher le brin de bracelet 2 de la boîte 1, il suffit bien entendu d'effectuer les mouvements inverses de ceux décrits ci-dessus.
La montre-bracelet selon l'invention présente plusieurs avantages:
la liaison entre la boîte 1 et le bracelet 2 est robuste du fait que chaque extrémité du bracelet 2 est en appui en deux points distincts dans chacune des deux rainures 4 correspondantes,
grâce à la forme sinueuse des rainures 4, en particulier le changement d'orientation entre la partie d'entrée 8 et la partie terminale 10, et au fait que les ergots 5, 6 ne peuvent passer que successivement dans la partie d'entrée 8, le risque de détachement accidentel du bracelet est limité; ce risque est encore réduit par la présence des moyens de verrouillage réversible que constituent les billes d'encliquetage 7 et les évidements correspondants 13;
le bracelet 2 peut être facilement attaché à la boîte 1 et détaché de celle-ci par l'utilisateur.
[0010] La présente invention a été décrite ci-dessus à titre d'exemple uniquement. Il va de soi que des modifications peuvent être faites sans sortir du cadre de l'invention revendiquée. Par exemple, les orientations respectives des différentes parties 8, 9, 10 des rainures 4 pourraient être modifiées et la partie d'entrée 8 pourrait déboucher sur une autre face des cornes 3 que la face inférieure 3b. Selon une autre modification, la boîte 1 pourrait être munie de deux pattes d'attache centrale en lieu et place des deux paires de cornes 3.
Dans ce cas, chaque extrémité du bracelet comporterait un évidement recevant l'une des pattes d'attache centrale et chaque patte d'attache centrale présenterait des rainures sur ses deux faces latérales, rainures qui coopéreraient avec des ergots faisant saillie latéralement sur deux faces internes du bracelet en regard l'une de l'autre. Par ailleurs, bien qu'il soit préférable qu'au moins les extrémités du bracelet 2 comportant les ergots 5, 6 soient rigides, le bracelet 2 pourrait, en variante, être légèrement souple.

[0005] Referring to FIGS. 1 to 6, the wristwatch according to the invention comprises a watch case 1 and a bracelet 2 rigid links shown in the figures by a portion of one of its two strands. The watch case 1 is provided at two opposite ends, situated respectively at 6 o'clock and 12 o'clock, with two pairs of horns 3. In the internal lateral face 3 a of each of the horns 3 is formed a groove 4. the groove 4 cooperates with two lugs 5, 6 corresponding projecting laterally on a longitudinal edge of a strand of the bracelet 2 at one end of said strand. One of the lugs, said small lug 5, has a circular section.
The other lug, said large lug 6, has a ring-shaped section and inner and outer diameters greater than the diameter of the small lug 5, and is closer to the end face of the bracelet strand 2 than the small lug 5 Inside the large pin 6 is housed a snap ball 7 subjected to the action of a spring (not shown) inside the bracelet.
The groove 4 has a sinuous shape and a variable width. It consists of a rectilinear inlet portion 8 oriented substantially perpendicularly to the plane of the box 1 and opening on the lower face 3b of the horn 3, an oblique intermediate portion 9 extending the inlet portion 8 from the upper end of the latter and facing upwardly of the horn 3 and towards the inside of the box 1, and an end portion 10 extending the intermediate portion 9 from the upper end thereof and oriented substantially parallel to the plane from box 1 to the outside of box 1.
The width of the input portion 8 is adapted to the diameter of the large lug 6 so that the two lugs 5, 6 can pass only successively in the input portion 8, the small lug 5 being introduced first as shown in FIG. 3. The end portion 10 defines at its closed end a notch 11 whose size is adapted to the diameter of the small lug 5 so as to form a housing for it, as shown in FIG. 5.
A rectilinear recess 12, of cylindrical shape terminating in a spherical portion, is formed in the bottom of the groove 4 from the lower face 3b of the horn 3, through the inlet portion 8, into the part intermediate groove 9. Another recess 13, separated from the rectilinear recess 12, and of spherical shape, is formed in the bottom of the groove 4, at a point located in the bend defined by the intermediate portion 9 and the end portion. 10. The shape and dimensions of the recesses 12, 13 are adapted to those of the detent ball 7. The remainder of the bottom of the groove 4 is at a constant depth with respect to the internal lateral face 3a of the horn 3.
To fix the end of the bracelet strand 2 to the box 1, the user orients the bracelet strand 2 approximately perpendicular to the plane of the box 1 (see Fig. 2) and introduces it between the two horns 3 by placing said end, comprising two pairs of lugs 5, 6, below the box 1. Then it raises the bracelet strand 2 to introduce the lugs 5, 6 successively in the grooves 4 (FIG 3) and guide them in the latter until the small lugs 5 arrive near the upper wall 4a of the grooves 4 or even touch this upper wall 4a (Figure 4). During this movement of the bracelet strand 2, the latching balls 7 housed in the large lugs 6 enter and move in the rectilinear recesses 12 and thus remain at rest.
By a rotational movement of the end of the bracelet strand 2, the user then comes to place the small lugs 5 in their housing 11 (FIG 5), which makes the detent balls 7 come out of the rectilinear recesses 12, causing erasing said balls 7 in the large lugs 6 against their spring. Continuing the rotational movement, which then takes place around the axis of the small lugs 5 wedged in their housing 11, the user brings the large lugs 6 in abutment against the upper wall 4a of the grooves 4, in the terminal part 10 (Fig. 6). In this position, the latching balls 7 are opposite the spherical recesses 13 and are thus urged by their spring in these recesses 13 to reversibly lock the connection between the end of the bracelet strand 2 and the box 1.
The bracelet strand 2 is thus firmly coupled to the box 1 in an angular position relative thereto allowing the wrist setting of the watch. To detach the bracelet strand 2 from the box 1, it is of course necessary to perform the reverse movements of those described above.
The wristwatch according to the invention has several advantages:
the connection between the box 1 and the bracelet 2 is robust because each end of the bracelet 2 bears at two distinct points in each of the two corresponding grooves 4,
thanks to the sinuous shape of the grooves 4, in particular the change of orientation between the inlet portion 8 and the end portion 10, and the fact that the lugs 5, 6 can pass only successively into the inlet portion 8 , the risk of accidental detachment of the bracelet is limited; this risk is further reduced by the presence of the reversible locking means constituted by the latching balls 7 and the corresponding recesses 13;
the bracelet 2 can be easily attached to the box 1 and detached from it by the user.
The present invention has been described above by way of example only. It goes without saying that modifications can be made without departing from the scope of the claimed invention. For example, the respective orientations of the different parts 8, 9, 10 of the grooves 4 could be modified and the entry portion 8 could lead to another face of the horns 3 than the lower face 3b. According to another modification, the box 1 could be provided with two central attachment lugs in place of the two pairs of horns 3.
In this case, each end of the bracelet would comprise a recess receiving one of the central fastening tabs and each central fastening tab would have grooves on its two lateral faces, grooves which would cooperate with lugs projecting laterally on two internal faces bracelet facing each other. Furthermore, although it is preferable that at least the ends of the bracelet 2 having the lugs 5, 6 are rigid, the bracelet 2 could, alternatively, be slightly flexible.
