The present invention relates to a timepiece, and more particularly to a wristwatch or a pocket watch, comprising a ring, preferably a purely mechanical bell.
More specifically, the present invention relates to a device for connecting the tone of a ring with at least the ice of the timepiece so that it, such as a speaker membrane, can vibrate freely and thus transmit the sound waves to the ambient air.
Document CH-632 387G discloses an alarm clock equipped with an electro-acoustic device comprising a connection between a blade vibrated by an electromagnet and the ice of the watch.
One of the aims of the present invention is to provide such a connection between the sound generator and the ice of the watch that applies regardless of the sound generator and more particularly in the case where the sound generator is constituted by a stamp mechanical struck by a hammer of the timepiece.
In the aforementioned document, the connection between the sound generator and the ice of the watch comprises an elastic piece of complicated shape which is difficult and expensive to manufacture. In addition this elastic piece has a large area accessible from the outside of the watch case. This represents a serious drawback because this elastic piece is thus likely to receive shocks and be damaged. This elastic piece may also be in contact for example with the finger of the user, which annihilates the transmission of vibrations to the watch crystal and reduces or cancels any ringing effect.
The shape and mounting of this elastic piece in the embodiment described in the aforementioned document does not allow a faithful and optimal transmission of the vibrations created by the sound generator.
The present invention aims to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks and in particular to ensure a better transmission of sound waves from the generator to the ice and to prevent the elastic part of this connection can be damaged or simply touched or contact with a foreign body, which changes the transmission of sound vibrations and makes it impossible to guarantee a reproducible and optimal ring.
The aforementioned objects and others that will emerge from the following description are achieved through the means claimed in particular in claim 1.
The accompanying drawing illustrates schematically and by way of example two embodiments of the connecting device according to the invention.
<tb> Fig. 1 <sep> is a partial sectional view of a first embodiment of a watch provided with a ring and equipped with a connecting device according to the invention.
<tb> Fig. 2 <sep> is a view similar to FIG. 1a second embodiment of the invention.
The timepiece illustrated in FIG. 1 in partial cut is a wristwatch equipped with a ringtone. This wristwatch comprises a clockwork movement 10, provided with a dial 12. This movement 10 is arranged in a watch case having a bottom 24 fixed by means of screws 26 on a middle part 22. A seal 23 ensures the seal between the bottom 24 and the middle part 22. This watch case further comprises a bezel 20 screwed or crimped on the middle part 22 which comprises horns 28.
This watch also includes a ring formed by a stamp (not shown) integral with a heel 30, the stamp being arranged to be struck by a hammer (not shown) actuated by the watch movement. The heel 30 of the bell ring is fixed on the movement 10 by means of a screw 32 whose upper end extends beyond the dial 12 into a plane where an upper, annular rim 25 is located. of the middle part 22.
A metal elastic connecting piece 40 has the shape of a flat ring whose peripheral edge is clamped between the upper flange 25 of the middle part 20 and a seal 21 bearing upwardly and outwardly on the bezel 20. The inner peripheral edge of this elastic ring 40 is fixed to, or secured to the glass 14. For example, this inner peripheral edge may be welded, glued or otherwise affixed to the underside of the ice 14 or the end of the screw 32. This inner peripheral edge can also be simply pinched or embedded in position between the lens 14 and the screw 3 and held in position by pressure.
However, for a good transmission of the vibration of the ice stamp, it is preferable that the inner peripheral edge of the elastic ring 40 is connected to the ice 14 and the end of the screw 32 by any means by example by welding, gluing or mechanical fixing.
Thus, thanks to this elastic ring 40 the ice 14 is mounted floating on the watch case 20, 22, 24 and is subjected to vibrations of the heel of the stamp 30 which are transmitted to it by the screw 32 and the inner edge of the ring 40.
The configuration described has several advantages, the main ones are as follows:
The transmission of sound energy from the heel 30 of the ice stamp 14 is effected in an efficient and optimal manner, causing a reduced loss of energy and avoiding any transmission of parasitic vibrations to the ice.
The elastic piece 40 of the link connecting the ice 14 to the heel 30 is of simple shape, a flat ring, so it is easy to manufacture at an economical cost.
The small volume, the small dimensions and the flat shape of the elastic part 40 ensure better transmission of the sound energy and help to reduce losses.
The elastic piece 40 is housed entirely inside the watch case, it is protected by the lens 14 and the bezel 20 vis-à-vis the outside of the watch.
Indeed, any part of the part 40 which is not under the glass 14, and which is therefore protected by it, is under the bezel 20 and is protected by this telescope 20. This ring 40 can not in no way be put in contact with an external object which could damage it or limit the vibrations during the ringing. This guarantees the completeness and longevity of this elastic piece while avoiding any disturbance of the ringing by external elements. It can thus guarantee the sound level as well as the frequency of vibration of the ice and therefore the desired sound for the ring.
The second embodiment of the device according to the invention is similar to that described above to the fact that the elastic piece 40 is not flat but in section in the form of a broken line. In the illustrated embodiment, this broken line has four segments a, b, c, d and three elbows or bends. Here also each segment of the part 40 which is not under the glass 14 is installed under, and thus protected by, the telescope 20. Preferably, the part of the part 40 which is neither under the ice 14 nor against this mirror 14 constitutes a single and straight segment, in this embodiment the segment d. In other variants, this annular resilient piece 40 could have in cross section the form of a broken line with only two or three segments.
This annular piece 40 has by cons at most four segments as illustrated. The first annular segment d of the elastic piece 40 is clamped between the bezel 20 and a seal 21 bearing on a vertical face of the bezel and the upper face 25 of the middle part 22.
The second annular connecting segment has elastic piece 40 is parallel to the circular peripheral face of the ice 14, in contact or not with this ice 14.
The second annular segment b of the elastic piece 40 is glued, welded or otherwise fixed on the periphery of the underside of the window 14.
Finally, the inner annular segment c of this elastic piece forms an obtuse angle with the segment b of this piece 40 and extends towards the dial 12 of the timepiece. This segment c constitutes a flange concealing the edge of the dial 12, this flange can carry a decoration on its visible face.
Although comprising four segments a, b, c and d, this annular resilient piece 40 remains easy to produce, for example by stamping, and, as only the d segment works in bending, the energy losses are also reduced to the bare minimum.
Moreover, this embodiment of the invention has the same advantages as those described with reference to the first embodiment.
