Alarm clock. The present invention relates to an alarm watch of the type comprising a thin bottom constituting an acoustic membrane, and means for said membrane to be able to transmit its vibratory movement to the ambient air under good conditions, and to preserve it from contact with any object. outside the watch and any part of the user's body, capable of damping said vibratory movement. The alarm watch according to the invention is characterized in that the acoustic membrane is set into vibration by the blows of a hammer of the alarm mechanism against a part fixed to this membrane.
The appended drawing represents, by way of examples, several embodiments of the alarm clock which is the subject of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a cross-sectional view of a first embodiment.
Fig. 2 is a view from below corresponding to FIG. 1., but relating to a variant. Fig. 3 shows a cross-sectional view of a variant of the acoustic membrane.
Fig. 4 shows a detail view of another variant.
Fig. 5 is a plan view corresponding to FIG. 4.
Fig. 6 shows, in partial axial section, a second embodiment of the alarm watch.
Fig. 7 shows a removable resonator belonging to a third embodiment. In the embodiments shown, the winding crown has not been indicated, in order to simplify the drawing.
According to fig. 1, the movement 21with an alarm mechanism carries the dial 22 and is set in a case comprising a caseband 25, a bezel 24, a crystal 23, a bottom bezel 26, a thin bottom constituting an acoustic membrane 27, and a false bottom 28, the function of which is described below.
The bottom or membrane 27 is mounted in a sealed fa gon thanks to a gasket 29 pressed between a circle 30 and the membrane, itself clamped by a rim of the bottom bezel 26. Only the hammer 31 is represented by the alarm gear. pivoting at 32.
A very low bell-shaped part 33 is rigidly fixed to the center of the membrane with the interposition of a thin washer 27 'forming a spacer. When the wake-up gear is released, the hammer 31 strikes the bell-shaped part 33, which transmits its movements to the membrane 27, the vibratory movement of which it causes. Furthermore, the membrane 27, the false bottom, the bottom bezel and the air included in the space delimited by these members constitute a sort of small resonator amplifying these vibrations.
The false bottom 28 comprises a flat central part and an outer part where openings 34 are formed, establishing communication between the environment and the space between the membrane and this false bottom. In addition, said outer part of the back is recessed so that, if the watch is worn as a bracelet, the openings 34 do not run the risk of being accidentally blocked.
In the variant shown in FIG. 2, the part 33 in the form of a bell is replaced by a part 33 'in the form of a square which, seen in elevation, appears as the right part in FIG. 1 of the 33_ bell. The striking tip of the hammer 31 strikes against the bent part of the part 33 ', extending perpendicularly to the plane of the acoustic membrane.
It is indicated at 34 in FIG. 2 the openings in the bottom 28, because the only difference between the form of execution according to fig. 1 and the construction according to fig. 2, lies in the replacement of the bell 33 by the part 33 '.
In the variant according to FIGS. 4 and 5, only the membrane 27, the part 33 "which is rigidly fixed to it and the hammer 31 which, unlike the previous examples, strikes here in the direction of the center of the movement as indicated by the arrow.
In. another variant of FIG. 1, the membrane .27 could present, as indicated in FIG. 3, a series of concentric circular ribs 35.
-In the embodiment according to FIG. 6, the acoustic membrane 27 and the bottom file 26 came in one piece. This is the only difference vis-à-vis the form of execution according to fig. 1. The part of this membrane-forming part could have ribs, as shown in FIG. 3.
