The invention relates to a combing machine with a plurality of combing heads, each having a nipper unit, which is pivotally mounted on at least one axis for carrying out a reciprocating motion and is coupled to a drive shaft which is in communication with at least one drive source ,
The function and the schematic structure of a nipper unit of a combing machine is e.g. from the literature "Die Kurzstapelspinnerei, Volume 3: Kämmerei, Strecken, Flyer of The Textile Institute" on pages 22 to 26 can be seen. The nipper unit performs a reciprocating motion in the direction of the tear-off and is offset by a forceps shaft in this swinging motion.
The nipper unit is rotatably mounted on the forceps shaft via a rear arm.
In today's combing machines usually eight such nipper units are arranged side by side and attached via a respective swing arm on the forceps shaft. The nipper units work synchronously with each other. From CH-PS 471 910 it can be seen that a counterweight can be attached to compensate for the oscillating forceps mass. With this counterweight in particular imbalances can be avoided, which can be felt in the increase in ground forces.
In recent years, the maximum achievable Kammspielzahlen were gradually increased by constructive measures gradually in the combers.
This also increased the production capacity of the combers.
By increasing the Kammspielzahlen forcibly also introduced via the drive torsional vibration of the forceps shaft increased. In this case, one arrives in the range of the natural frequency of the drive system or the forceps shaft. This results in an increase of the torque, or there are torque peaks, which must be absorbed by the drive elements and the bearings. This means that the structural design of these elements must be geared to the maximum loads that arise.
The elements are thereby partially oversized, just to be able to catch the torque peaks occurring in a certain range of Kammspielzahlen.
It is an object of the invention to provide a combing machine with a device for driving the nipper units, by which these disadvantages are avoided.
This object is achieved by proposing that in the drive connection between the drive source and the nipper unit at least one means for compensating natural oscillations is inserted. This makes it possible to smooth the course of the torques occurring or to reduce the torque peaks in the range of Kammspielzahlen to be driven on the damping means, also called "absorber" or "damper".
Such damping means are e.g. used in automotive engineering (e.g., in clutches for the drives) where z. very high speeds are present and the problems of superposition of the vibrations with the natural frequency of the components play a central role.
However, the use of such damping means in the field of drive elements for the pliers drive in a combing machine is new and not readily transferable from the application in vehicle technology, especially since the speed ratios and the drive movements (floats) in a comber not comparable to those of vehicle technology are.
Advantageously, it is further proposed that the respective nipper unit is connected to a pincer shaft as the drive shaft via a coupling, wherein on the pincer shaft, which communicates with the drive source,
at least one means for vibration damping is attached. This allows a structurally simple attachment of the damping means (called "damper" for short), wherein a plurality of dampers can be mounted on the forceps shaft, as claimed in a further dependent claim.
It is also conceivable, as further claimed, that in each combing head in the region of the coupling in each case a means for vibration damping is mounted on the forceps shaft.
[0008] In this case, e.g.
in the region of the clutch, a counterweight for balancing the moving mass of the nipper unit may be arranged, on which the damper is mounted.
This damper can be mounted on each of the juxtaposed nipper units on the respective counterweight.
Of course, mixed forms are also conceivable, wherein the one or more dampers on the one hand on the forceps shaft and on the other hand in the region of the coupling or
can be mounted on the counterweights.
Since the forceps shaft, which extends over the entire length of the juxtaposed nipper units, has a large length, it is advantageous in terms of the elastic rotation over the length of the forceps shaft when the drive power is introduced at both ends of the forceps shaft.
It is therefore proposed that the drive shaft is connected at both ends with a said drive source.
Further advantages of the invention will be shown and described in more detail with reference to the following embodiments.

Fig. 1 shows schematically the structure of a combing head 1 with a nipper unit 2, which is provided with a lower pliers plate 3 and a pivotable on the lower pliers plate about the rotation axis 4 upper pliers plate 5. The tong plate 5 is connected to two pivot arms 8 which are pivotally mounted on the axis of rotation 4. The lower tong plate 3 is fixed in a tong frame 6.
Above the lower tong plate 3, a rotatably mounted feed cylinder 7 is arranged, which transports or feeds the cotton wool web W supplied by a lap roll (not shown) at intervals in the direction of subsequently arranged tear-off cylinders 9.
In the example shown, the nipper unit 2 is in a front position in which it is open and the tearing and soldering process is performed. On the pliers frame 6 pivot arms 15 are rotatably mounted in the region of the lower tong plate 3 on both sides in each case on an axis 14, which are mounted on its other end on the axis 13 of a circular comb 11.
For the combing of the circular comb 11 is provided with a comb segment 12 which extends over a portion of the circumference of the circular comb.
In the rear region of the nipper frame 6 is provided with a pivot axis 17 on which a pivot arm 18 is rotatably mounted. The pivoting arm 18, of which two per nipper unit 1 (see FIG. 2) can be present, is, as schematically indicated, provided with a coupling element 20 on the free end opposite the pivot axis 17. With this coupling, the respective pivot arm 18 is rotatably mounted on a forceps shaft 22. In this case, the coupling 20 may be provided with schematically indicated half-shells, which are braced against each other on the forceps shaft 22 by means of screws.
However, it is also conceivable to divide the entire pivot arm 18 in two halves, which are then braced against each other for attachment to the forceps shaft 22. There are still other versions possible.
To compensate for the oscillating mass of the nipper unit 2 (avoidance of imbalances and reducing the ground forces) a counterweight 24 is mounted on the pivot arm 18 in the region of the coupling 20, which in FIG.
7 and 8 is shown in more detail.
About the schematically shown drive connection 26, the forceps shaft 22 is driven by a gear G, which in turn is connected via the drive connection 27 with a motor M in connection.
As indicated by the double-headed arrow drawn in the forceps shaft, a reciprocating motion is transmitted via the gear G to the forceps shaft 22, which generates a reciprocating pivoting movement of the forceps assembly 2 above the circular comb 11. This drive movement can e.g. be done by a not shown in the transmission G crank drive.
The course of a Kammspieles will not be discussed in more detail, since this is well known and can be found in the references listed above.
Fig. 2 shows a plan view of Fig. 1, in which only three of e.g. eight juxtaposed nipper units 2 are shown. Of the gripper units 2, 2 ¾, 2 ¾ ¾ only the rear part is schematically indicated. The respective forceps frame 6 is provided at its rear end with two arms 10 which are rotatably connected via the axis 17 with the pivot arms 18. As already described, the arms 18 are connected to a coupling 20, by means of which they are fixed in rotation on the forceps shaft 22. The forceps shaft 22 is mounted on bearings L in the schematically indicated machine frame MS.
The storage L between the individual nipper units 2 takes place in intermediate shields of the machine frame MS. Between the gear G and the first nipper unit 2, a damping element 30 is mounted on the nipper shaft 22, which is shown in an enlarged view in FIGS. 3 and 4. The damping element, in short "damper 30" called (sometimes referred to as "damper") is provided with a disc 31 which is rotatably connected via a wedge or a spring 35 with the forceps shaft 22. Coaxially to the disc 31, a further disc 32 (mass) is mounted, which is freely rotatably mounted on the forceps shaft 22 via a bearing 36.
There are also not shown elements which fix the discs 31 and 32 in the axial direction of the forceps shaft 22.
In the disc 31 a plurality of damping means in the form of bolts 34 are attached made of rubber, which protrude into opposite receptacles in the disc 32. As soon as the forceps shaft 22 is set in rotary motion via the drive M, G, the disc 31, which carries the disc 32 (flywheel mass) via the bolts 34, also forcibly rotates. As a result, on the one hand, a part of the applied energy is absorbed by the entrained flywheel 32 and on the other hand degrades or absorbs occurring vibrations, in particular in the region of the natural frequency.
With this relatively simple device, the torque peaks MD1 and MD2 shown in the diagram in FIG. 9, which occur in the example over the comb play numbers KS1 and KS2, can be compensated. This results in a curve of the torque, as shown in the dashed curve of Fig. 9. As a result, it is no longer necessary to align the structural design of the drive elements on the torque peaks MD1 or MD2. That these parts do not need to be oversized just to absorb any resulting torque peaks.
In Fig. 5, a further embodiment is shown, in each case between two couplings 20 of a nipper unit 2, a damper 30 is mounted.
It may be advantageous for the compensation of occurring vibrations when the damper 30 is mounted directly at the point where the largest masses (for example at the nipper unit 2) are to be accelerated and decelerated. As a result, u.U. Vibrations already absorbed in the formation.
In Fig. 6, another embodiment is shown, wherein the drive for the forceps shaft 22 is initiated on both ends of the forceps shaft. In this case, the forceps shaft 22 is connected on one side via the drive connection 26 and on the other side via the drive connection 26 ¾, each with a transmission G1 or G2. As shown schematically, the two gears G1 and G2 are coupled together via the connection 39 in order to ensure synchronous operation.
The drive motor M is in this case coupled to the transmission G1, which transmits the drive power via the connection 39 to the transmission G2. However, it would also be possible to assign a drive motor to each of the two transmissions G1, G2, in which case the motors must be synchronized, provided the connection 39 no longer exists. There are also other versions in the drive version possible, which are not all shown here. Also, a direct single motor drive from one or both sides would be conceivable.
In the example shown, a damper 30 is mounted in each case between the respective gears G1, G2 and the following nipper unit 2.
Although this arrangement is somewhat more expensive, but reduces the elastic bending of the forceps shaft 22 over the length thereof and absorbs vibrations occurring at both ends of the forceps shaft 22. Of course, also mixed forms or alternatives are possible between the embodiment of FIG. 5 and that of FIG.
In Fig. 7, an embodiment is shown where the damper 30a is mounted in combination with a balance weight 44 in the region of the coupling 20. The balance weight 44 is fixedly connected via a web 45 and a screw 46 with a transverse web 41 of the pivot arm 18 and is e.g. on the outer contour of the clutch 20 at. The balance weight serves to compensate for the imbalance caused by the oscillating mass of the nipper unit.
Parallel to the balance weight 44, a plate 48 (mass) is arranged, which, similar to the damper 30, is connected via the rubber-formed pin 34. Additional means (not shown) may be provided to prevent loosening of the bolts from the balance weight 44 and from the plate 48, respectively. Even with this type of attachment of the damper 30a, it is possible to compensate for the vibrations such that there is no superimposition of the vibrations generated by the drive with the natural frequency of the drive system in the range of the comb run numbers. The damper 30a may be attached to any or even only certain balancing weights. It is also possible to combine an embodiment according to the example according to FIGS. 7 and 8 with the embodiments of the examples according to FIGS. 2, 5 or 6.
Of course, other means (e.g., viscoelastic members) which produce the same effect may be used instead of the rubber pins 34 shown.
