Abstract
The pourer has a body (10) and a locking cap (11) connected with each other by an articulation (12) arranged in order to exert an elastic return force on the cap for bringing the cap into an open position. A clip on top (13) maintains the cap in a closing position against the return force. The clip on top actuates the cap freely to permit the cap to come into the open position. An independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing a bottle pourer.
Description
Many stoppers are known pour containers for the content of which is intended to be used in small quantities as and when required. These plugs are generally constituted by a body screwed onto the container or manufactured therewith and by a cap hinged to the body of the cap.
The natural position of this cap is the closed position.
To open the cap, it must lift this cap by exerting an action opposite to that which keeps it closed.
In most of these plugs, the closure cap is subjected to an elastic force which tends to open or close according to whether it is abandoned before or after an intermediate angular position corresponding to an unstable equilibrium position. .
The handling of these caps-pourers is often uncomfortable because it takes both hands to open, one hand to hold the container, the other to lift the cap and bring it beyond its position d unstable equilibrium.
Try to carry out these two operations with one hand, the second being busy keeping an object on or in which you have to pour some of the contents of the container, often leads to accidents during which some of this content is spreading and is lost. The stopper-pourer according to the present invention does not have this disadvantage because its opening, as also its closure can be done easily with the hand holding the container.
This stopper is defined by claim 1 of the patent.
The attached drawing shows schematically and by way of non-limiting example an embodiment of the object of the invention to be screwed on a toothpaste tube.
Figs.
1 and 2 of this drawing are axial vertical sections of the plug in the open position, respectively closed.
The plug-pourer shown is constituted by a body 10 and a cap 11, elastically deformable plastic material. The zone of material connecting these two parts is a tongue forming a hinge 12. The cap 11 can pivot about the horizontal axis of this hinge between an open position (FIG 1) and a closed position (FIG 2 ). In the closed position, this cap 11 is subjected to the action of an elastic force F induced by the internal tensions at the hinge zone 12, which tends to bring it into its open position in which these Voltages are reduced to zero. This results from the fact that the molding was carried out without stress in this position of the cap.
However one could mold the cap in its open position by introducing a prestressing ensuring the reliability of this position.
The plug further comprises a spring clasp 13, also integrally molded with the body 10 and the cap 11, whose function is to maintain the cap 11 in the closed position when it is brought.
This clasp comprises a push button which ensures this closed position and which releases the cap 11 when pressed.
The closure of the cap is effected by exerting on the cap 11 a pair surmounting that related to the force F.
We see that the opening of the cap can be performed very easily with the thumb of the hand holding the tube A.
The invention is obviously not limited to the embodiment shown and described above.
In
In particular, the force F could be developed by a metal spring partially embedded in the body 10 and partly in the cap 11.
