Profiles for windows or doors are often manufactured as composite profiles, e.g. with a metal profile facing the weather side and a metal or wood profile facing the interior of the room.
A composite profile according to the preamble of claim 1 is known from DE 3 224 891 C2. It consists of an aluminum profile and a molded, foamed plastic profile. For the production, an extruded profile is first produced, which has a cavity, of which two side walls have predetermined breaking notches. Anchoring elements protrude into the cavity. The cavity is then foamed and one profile part is cut off and recycled. This profile is relatively complex to manufacture. Since the foam profile is rigidly connected to the metal profile, the profile warps in the event of thermal expansion. The plastic profile hardly contributes to the strength.
A further composite profile is known from DE 4 427 682 C2, in which two metal profiles are connected to one another by two plastic webs. The webs are reinforced by a fiber composite skeleton and caulked in the grooves of the metal profiles. This is intended to improve the strength of the insulating bars in the event of a fire.
DE 3 912 135 A1 describes a wood-metal profile in which the metal profile acting as a glazing bead is fastened to the wood profile at a distance therefrom by means of H-shaped clip connections in the side view. This is to avoid screw connections.
The present invention has for its object to provide a composite profile that is inexpensive to manufacture and aesthetically pleasing, has the necessary strength, absorb thermal expansion of the two different materials as a frame and can be disposed of by type. This object is achieved by a composite profile or window or door frame from this profile according to claims 1 and 8.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is explained below with reference to the drawings. 1 shows a cross section through the composite profile, FIG. 2 shows a cross section of the profile installed on the structure with the wing inserted, FIG. 3 shows the corner connection of two profiles and FIG. 4 shows the profile with the weatherstrip inserted.
The composite profile 1 has a first profile 3 made of rigid polyurethane foam facing the inside of the room, attached to the existing old wooden frame 2 or to a masonry, with a reinforcement made of an L-shaped glass fiber fabric tape 4 and / or a plastic reinforcement 15. On the profile 3, a second profile 5 is snapped on, which is made of a metal alloy, for example an aluminum alloy. For this purpose, the profile 5 has two legs 6, 7 projecting in parallel. The leg 6 engages in a groove 8 of the profile 3 and the leg 7 lies against a surface of the profile 3. At the end, it has a hook-like thickening 9. A plurality of U-shaped brackets 10 are distributed over the length of the composite profile 1. Alternatively, a continuous bracket can also be used.
The clamps 10 engage with one leg 11 in a groove 12 opposite the groove 12 of the profile 3 and are snapped onto the thickening 9 with the other leg 13. The profile 5 has a c-shaped groove 14 on the outside for hanging a weather leg, not shown.
As can be seen from FIG. 2, the composite profile 1 is fastened to the existing old wooden frame 2 by means of screws 22. These have a thinner thread 23, which is screwed into the existing old wooden frame 2, and a thicker thread 24, which is screwed into the profile 3. The end face of the screws 22 is covered by a sealing strip 25. The fittings 26 are fastened to the profile 3 with further screws 27.
The foamed polyurethane provides excellent thermal insulation and an attractive wood-like appearance. When touched, the profile 3 feels like wood and is therefore aesthetically pleasing. The fabric insert 4 gives the composite profile 1 high rigidity. In addition, the pull-out security of the screws 22, 27 is significantly improved. The profile 3 is produced in a casting mold, the insert 4 being stretched in the mold cavity and held in place with spacers. In order to achieve an exact positioning, an L-shaped profile 15, e.g. made of plastic, glued on.
To assemble the composite profile 1 into a frame, it is cut to miter and connected with corner connectors 32, which are pushed into the metal profiles 5 at the end, punched and sprayed with sealing compound. In addition, two dovetail grooves 33 are milled into the PU profiles 3 on the side facing the wooden frame 2. Corresponding prismatic connecting pieces 34 are pressed into the grooves 33. The two colliding end faces 35 of the collapsed PU profiles 3 are glued together. Due to the type of connections described, high strength is achieved. The connection prevents the penetration of steam on the inside and water on the outside.
The leg 7 is slightly longer than the relevant contact surface of the profile 3 and the leg 6 is approximately the same length as the groove 8 deep. This results in dilation joints 16 which compensate for different thermal expansions of the two profiles 3, 5 in the fully assembled frame. In contrast to PVC, polyurethane can be disposed of like household waste. Because the profiles 3, 5 are only held together by clips 10, they can easily be separated and disposed of separately. As a result, cutting waste and the profiles 3, 5 can be disposed of or recycled without any problems at the end of their use. The composite profile has a slim view (small width) and is inexpensive to manufacture. The release agent that is used in the mold is also the surface treatment of the profile 3. This eliminates the need for post-treatment by coating.
With a correspondingly different cross-sectional design, the composite profile 1 is also suitable as a wing profile for window or door wings. Depending on the cross-sectional shape of the profile 3, the cross-section of the glass fabric tape 4 designed as a profile with or without a support profile 15 can also be e.g. be Z-shaped, I-shaped, C-shaped or T-shaped.
Fig. 4 shows the built-in profile 1 with mounted weather leg 41. The weather leg 41 consists of two articulated metal profiles 42, 43. The profile 42 has a c-shaped bar 44 which, when swiveled up, into the C-groove 14 of the profile 5 is hooked in and then folded down, a sealant and adhesive 46 being applied beforehand to the masonry 45. The profile 43 is bent at an obtuse angle and lies with the bent leg on the masonry 45. This type of mounting of the weather leg 41 can also be used in a meaningful manner in connection with composite profile 1 other than that described.
