Fig. 2 eine Innenansicht eines Deckels des Ausführungsbeispiels,
Fig. 5 ein Detail des zweiten Ausführungsbeispiels,
Fig. 6 eine Frontansicht des zweiten Ausführungsbeispiels,
- Ein Schlosszylinder 36, welcher beispielsweise mit einem Hausschlüssel 39 des Berechtigten zu öffnen ist, trägt einen Exzenter 37, welcher von links gegen den Schwenkhebel 31 drückt und damit die Klinke 30 vom Anker 26 abzieht;
The present invention relates to a device for closing and unlocking a refuse container with a lid, in particular a household refuse container that can be detected and emptied by the pouring device of a refuse collection vehicle, according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
Several such devices have become known in recent years. Both the known solutions and the present one are based on the task of locking a waste container in such a way that only authorized persons can open it, for example with a key of some kind, but that the presence of an authorized person when the waste container is emptied by the refuse collection vehicle is not necessary , but that the unlocking process is effected by a device on the dumping device of the refuse collection vehicle or the tipping process.
The known solutions can be divided into two classes. The locking devices of the one class are opened during the emptying process itself, in that a locking part is displaced by the direction of gravity changed when tipping and thus releases the locking. EP 509 932 A1 is a representative of this class.
The locking devices of the other class are characterized in that the weight of the refuse container, as soon as it is picked up by the dumping device, is used to move a locking element, be it that the bolt, which is otherwise manually moved by a key, is now actuated by the weight (such as in DE 36 14 991 A1, EP 455 935 A) or that the entire locking device is lifted, such as in DE 29 13 435 A1.
On the one hand, it can be assumed that the rubbish bins used today for household waste consist of relatively soft plastics such as Polyethylene exist and that a certain standardization of the waste containers is also provided in the catchment area of a waste collection point. On the other hand, it should be noted that the proposed solutions as a whole are apparently unsatisfactory because none of them were generally accepted. Be this because the proposed devices are complex, complicated and expensive, be it that they are not easily and reliably transferable to soft plastic containers with their small dimensional stability. Closing devices that are unlocked by the tilting process or the change in the direction of gravity thereby have the disadvantage that this also happens when the garbage container is knocked over.
Furthermore, household waste is increasingly being weighed when collecting - or during the emptying process; This makes the necessity seem to be urgent to make the garbage containers lockable, so that unauthorized persons do not dispose of their garbage in foreign containers, because the weighing of the removed garbage also entails a weight-related disposal fee.
The object underlying the present invention is to provide a locking device for refuse containers which is simple, reliable and inexpensive to manufacture, with which existing refuse containers can be retrofitted and whose operation on the refuse collection vehicle requires little or no design changes.
The solution to the problem is given in the characterizing part of claim 1 with regard to its essential features, in claims 2 to 10 with regard to further advantageous developments.
The concept of the invention is explained in more detail in several exemplary embodiments with the aid of the accompanying drawings. Show it:
1 shows a first embodiment in a view from the side, partly in section,
2 is an interior view of a cover of the embodiment,
3 the first embodiment in a view from the other side, partly in section,
4 shows an inside view of a cover of the second exemplary embodiment,
5 shows a detail of the second exemplary embodiment,
6 is a front view of the second embodiment,
Fig. 7 is a side view of the second embodiment, partially in section.
1 to 3 relate to a first exemplary embodiment of the inventive concept, while FIGS. 4 to 7 illustrate a second.
In Fig. 1, part of the lid portion of a garbage container 1 is shown from the side, partly in section. It has a cover 2 hinged on the right side (not shown). This is shown from the inside in FIG. 2. It is - since usually made of soft plastic - reinforced, for example by a metal cross 4 fastened with rivets 3, as shown schematically in FIG. The metal cross 4 carries an axis 5 passing from one side to the other of the cover 2, on each of which a snap bolt 6 is rigidly attached to both ends. The axis 5 itself is rotatably supported and carries a torsion coil spring 7 which is supported on one side on the metal cross 4 and on the other side on the axis 5.
The coil spring 7 rotates the axis 5 such that the snap bolts 6 are brought into the position shown in FIG. 1 and from which they can only be pivoted out against the pressure of the coil spring 7. The coil spring 7 is accommodated in a housing 45, which simultaneously contains the means for guiding the axis 5 and those for limiting its rotation.
The garbage container 1 has an upper edge 8, which is designed at the front as a comb holder 9 and runs around the garbage container 1 on both sides. On the side shown in Fig. 1, a box 20 is attached and, for example, screwed to the upper part of the edge 8. The box 20 carries a lock cylinder 10 which has an eccentric 11. When the eccentric 11 is turned, it presses on the oblique flank of the snap bolt 6 and thus frees the lid 2. In the edge 8, the lid 2 has an opening 12 on each side, which is congruent, for example, in an upper wall 13 of the box 20 ; the latch 6 thus closes against the upper wall 13 made of steel and not against the edge 8 made of plastic.
1 shows the locking device to be opened by the authorized person, FIG. 3 shows the other side of the waste container 1. Here is the device that is used to unlock the garbage truck.
If the waste container 1 is lifted onto the comb consisting of several comb pins 14 and attached to the refuse vehicle as part of the pouring device in such a way that the comb holder 9 overlaps the - generally two - comb pins 14, then the comb pin 14 located on this side of the waste container 1 presses against a bevelled plunger 15. This passes the longitudinal movement on to a rigidly connected, for example, square rod 16, which runs in a corresponding guide 17 and has an end plate 18. The end plate 18 transmits the movement and the force from the plunger 15 to the snap latch 6 which is also present on this side of the waste container 1 and which can thus be lifted through the opening 12: the cover 2 is free. To release the snap bolt 6, the plunger 15 works against the pressure of a coil spring 19.
This hardness can be dimensioned such that a manual displacement of the plunger 15 is not considered.
The elements denoted by 15-19 are contained in a box 21, which can be open at the side, which at the same time also enables the latch 6 to be snapped into place against a metal surface. The weight of the garbage container 1 is sufficient to move the plunger 15 and thus to open the lid 2. However, the device according to the invention can also be used with the device described in PCT / CH93 / 00 236 - a garbage weighing device - in which the front upper one Edge 8 of the garbage container 1 is pressed by an element against the comb. Thus, in addition to the weight of the waste container 1, another force acts on the plunger 15, which is thus defined and moved safely.
The box 21 can, as drawn in dashed lines in Fig. 3, be extended into the comb holder. This prevents the reaction force of the plunger 15 itself from acting on the comb holder 9, which is made of plastic, and thereby gives rise to fatigue fractures. The locking device according to the first embodiment thus consists of a single movable part: the plunger 15 with the square rod 16 and the end plate 18. These three parts can of course be manufactured as a stamped part made of strong sheet metal, with the end of the plunger 15, which comes into contact with the comb pin 14 and the end plate 18, the stamped part is bent, for example.
Boxes 20, 21 are also to be manufactured from one piece each. The second exemplary embodiment of the locking device according to the invention is shown in FIGS. 4 to 7.
Fig. 4 shows the lid 2 of the garbage container 1 from the inside, Fig. 5 excerpts from the front. Here, for example, an angled steel sheet 22 is riveted to the cover 2, the angled part of which, when the cover 2 is closed, points downwards and carries two tongues 23, 24. The tongue 23 is essentially straight and carries a chamfer 25 at least on one side, while the other tongue 24 is designed as an anchor 26 on one side. If the cover 2 is closed, the tongues 23, 24 move into a lock 27, which is described with reference to FIGS. 6, 7.
6 shows only one frame 28 of the lock 27; a lid 42 facing the viewer is omitted in FIG. 6. The tongues 23, 24 are retracted in the lock 27; a guide 29 is fastened in the lock between the tongues 23, 24 in order to position the tongue 24 exactly. Instead of the guide 29, the part of the frame 28 drawn on the left in FIG. 6 can also occur; the tongue 23 is then outside the lock 27. The armature 26 is overlapped by a pawl 30, which is located at the end of a pivot lever 31. Whose pivotal movement is limited by a right stop 32 be, which cooperates with a located on the pivot lever 31 tab 33. The tab 33 and the right stop 32 together carry a coil spring 34 which presses the pivot lever against a left stop 35 and fixes it in this position; the closing device is now closed.
It can be opened in three ways:
- A lock cylinder 36, which can be opened, for example, with a house key 39 of the person entitled, carries an eccentric 37 which presses against the pivot lever 31 from the left and thus pulls the pawl 30 from the armature 26;
- By a square key, which can be inserted into a square hole 40. This is located in the axis of the pivot lever 31.
- By a tab 38 fastened to the comb pin 14. When the garbage container 1 is suspended, this pushes up a flag 41 which protrudes forward from the pivoting lever 31 and through an opening 43 in the cover 42 of the lock 27.
Since a garbage container 1 - depending on its width - is hung over at least two comb pins 14, the lock 27, which is preferably mounted in the front center of the garbage container 1, in no way hinders this process.
The first and second openings mentioned are to be understood alternatively. If the lock cylinder 36 is to be used, the square hole 40 can either be omitted or covered by the cover 42 of the lock 27. Due to the torque conditions on the pivot lever 31 and the hardness of the coil spring 34, the force required to open the lock 27 by pressing on the flag 41 can be so large that the flag 41 can not be operated by hand, which would be difficult and uncomfortable given their small width.
In addition, a catch hook 44 made of strong sheet metal is in the sense of the invention. This is shown in dashed lines in FIG. 7 and is fastened, for example, to the cover 42 of the lock 27 and reaches downward next to the lock cylinder 36 and the flag 41. On the one hand it secures the retraction of the tab 38, on the other hand it is so close to the flag 41 that there is hardly any space for an attempted manual operation.
The locking device according to the second exemplary embodiment 5 likewise consists of only one movable part: the swivel lever 31. This can be manufactured as a stamped part from strong sheet metal; the pawl 30 is produced by twisting and folding the upper part. The housing of the lock 27 can also be manufactured inexpensively from a single sheet metal part. This creates the possibility for widespread use of the second exemplary embodiment according to the invention.
The only change to the dumping device of the garbage truck is the tab 38, which can be attached to one of the comb pins 14 by means of screws or welding. Both exemplary embodiments of the locking device according to the invention can thus also be used side by side, since the tab 38 on the comb pin 14 in no way hinders the actuation of the plunger 15 of the first exemplary embodiment.
