Beschreibung description
The present invention relates to a manually extendable and retractable serving tray-like table in the armrest of a passenger seat, in particular in a railroad car, consisting of a table top, mounting and movement mechanism. Storage options for various purposes are in demand in public transport, especially in railway wagons. Various constructions are therefore known which serve these purposes more or less well. A number of typical problems are also known in this connection. For example, such a storage surface or a table should only appear if necessary and be discreetly stowed away during the rest of the time. This results in mechanical, aesthetic and cost problems.
German patent specification No. 278 663 describes “a folding table that can be pushed in and pushed out on the furniture and sits on an angular support arm”. In this construction, a small table top is connected to a square support arm, which in turn is inserted into a square tube slotted at the bottom, and which has appropriate twists at its end. For the commissioning of the folding table, it is pulled out of the square tube until a spring engages in a recess, then the table is turned upwards by 90 ° and pushed back or in again until another spring engages in another recess of the support arm and the Table fixed in the position of use. The table is stowed in the reverse order of the operations described, whereby a release button must first be pressed, which lifts the second spring out of the pattern. The design places certain demands on the operation, is not very stable and is no longer up to date. The present invention has for its object to provide an armrest table which has a very simple mechanism, represents a homogeneous unit and is easy to use.
This object is achieved by the invention characterized in the claims.
The advantages achieved by the invention are essentially to be seen in the fact that there are only two parts moving towards one another, one part of which is a carrier and the other part is formed from the table top and the holding rod. In addition, handling is easy and an overload protection is provided as additional security. In the drawings, an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown and show it

2 shows a support 4 in the form of a piece, for example cast from metal, of an approximately prismatic basic shape. On its left side, aligned with the lower side of the support 4, a horizontally extending stop leg 7 is added, the thickness of which is in this view is about a fifth of the total amount of support 4. The prismatic main mass of the support 4 has a longitudinal guide bore 5 in the middle, which at its left end merges into a short stop bore 6 with a larger diameter. The transition from the guide bore 5 into the stop bore 6 is located approximately in the middle of a bearing block designated by 8. Furthermore, four fastening bores 9 arranged in the corners are visible in FIG. 2. 10 with a bore cut is designated, which extends from the right side of the support 4 along the guide bore 5 to the bearing block 8 on the left side and the guide bore 5 opens in front of its length like a slot. 3 shows the depth of the hole section 10, which is approximately a quarter of the hole diameter. The third dimension of the stop leg 7 can also be seen, which here is half the thickness of the bearing block 8. 4 is a representation of the left-hand end face of the support 4 and shows an operating stop surface 7.1 on the side of the stop leg 7 and a reset stop surface 7.2 on its upper side. 4a is a representation of the right-hand end face of the support 4 and above all shows the guide bore 5 and the bore section 10 in a direct plan view. 5 shows the left end of a shaft 11 with a stop collar 12 with an enlarged diameter and to the left thereof with a stop sleeve 13 pushed on, and the parts of the overload safety device. A compression spring 14 located on a shaft extension 24, which is prestressed between an end stop 18 on the shaft extension 24 and a stop shoulder 17 located on the inside of the stop sleeve 13, a release slot 16 located in the right end face of the stop sleeve 13 and a radially on the left side serve as overload protection of the stop collar 12 protruding from the shaft 11 bolts 15. The latter is usually always engaged with the appropriate spring pressure in the release slot 16.

8 shows the position of the stop cam 19 relative to the stop leg 7 in the rest position of the armrest table 3. FIG. 9 shows the shaft 11 in a top view with a table top 21 screwed on the right-hand side. The upper end of the table top 21 runs flush with the outer contour of the Wave 11, and the right edge of the table top 21 protrudes the right shaft end by about one cm. The table top 21 has a circumferential raised edge 23.
FIG. 10 shows the armrest table 3 tilted downward in a top view, as a result of which the type of attachment of the table top 21 to the shaft 11 can be seen by means of a shaft milling 20. The part of the table top 21 which projects over the shaft 11 on the right is designed as a shaft end cover.
A web 25 running along the shaft milling 20 and cast on the table top 21 has a thickness which is approximately one mm smaller than the width of the bore cut 10 in the guide hole 5 in the support 4.
The device described above works as follows: The armrest table 3 is in the rest position in the position shown in FIG. 1 and is completely embedded in the armrest 2 in this position without any protruding parts. If the armrest table 3 is to be used, it is pushed forward according to FIG. 1a until the stop collar 12 of the shaft 11 is in contact in the stop bore 6 and the web 25 of the table top 21 is located outside the bore gate 10. Then the table top 21 is rotated in the sense shown in FIG. 1 b about the axis of the shaft 11 until the radial flank 19.1 of the stop cam 19 touches the operating stop surface 7.1 of the stop leg 7 on the support 4, the table top 21 then being in the horizontal position of use 1c. If the armrest table 3 which is in the position of use is deliberately or unintentionally overloaded, the overload protection comes into action. Due to the excessive torque on the shaft 11, the stop sleeve 13, which is pressed axially over the 15 bolts with spring pressure via the release slot 16, is pushed to the left because of the oblique flanks in the release slot 16, as a result of which the pin 15 slides out of the release slot 16 and the shaft 11 becomes free or the table top 21 dodges without counterforce. By further turning the table top 21 in any direction of rotation, when the bolt 15 and the trigger slot 16 meet, the mechanical coupling of the stop sleeve 13 and the shaft 11 is restored and the table top 21 can be returned to the normal position for further use. Depending on the direction of rotation, the stop sleeve is in contact with the radial stop flank 19.1 on the operating stop surface 7.1 of the stop leg 7 or then with the tangential stop surface 19.2 on the return stop surface 7.2 of the stop leg 7 on the support 4. The armrest table 3 is stowed in the reverse order. The table top 21 is rotated back 270 degrees and then pushed back into the armrest 2.
