The subject of the present invention is an assembly intended for the erection of a pole, for example an indicator pole or a barrier or gate pole.
Until now, to properly fix a post in the ground, it was necessary to make a hole in the ground of diameter significantly larger than the diameter of the post, to put the lower part of the post in this hole taking care to maintain the pole vertically, then fill the hole around the tube with concrete and finally wait until the concrete has set to stop holding the pole in its vertical position. According to this known technique, the installation of a pole is therefore relatively laborious and requires either the transport of concrete to the location of the erection of the pole, or the use of a concrete mixer on site and the transport of sand and cement. This technique turns out to be particularly inconvenient and expensive when it is a question of fixing a whole series of posts in places relatively distant from each other.
The present invention aims to allow the erection of a pole without concreting and without other means than a hammer or a mass.
The assembly intended for the erection of a pole according to the invention is characterized in that it consists of a tube closed at its lower end and having at least three lateral holes distributed around the periphery of the tube and d '' a cylindrical post with a diameter corresponding to the inside diameter of the tube and the lower end of which is provided with steel rods in number equal to the number of holes and extending in the extension of the post slightly deviating from the axis of this post, the ends of these rods, curved towards the outside, being situated on a diameter greater than the diameter of the tube, the whole so that the rods can be introduced, with the post, into said tube, after having been tightened elastically together,
and that the ends of the rods engage in the lateral holes of the tube and bend upward when the post is forced into the tube.
To set up the pole, the pole is preferably introduced beforehand into the tube so that the curved ends of the rods just hang in the holes of the tube, then the tube is put in the hole previously prepared in the ground , then the post is pressed by means of a mass into the tube, so that the rods bend upward through the holes in the tube, the lower edge of these holes being used as a means of bending the rods. These curved rods sink laterally into the walls of the hole, fixing the assembly in the manner of the roots of a tree. A sufficiently stable fixing of the post is thus obtained.
It is also possible to push the tube first into the ground, if necessary by tapping on it, then introduce the post with its rods into the tube.
According to one embodiment, the tube is provided with a disc which screws at the end of the tube to compress the ground.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of the invention, as well as variants thereof.
Figure 1 shows the elements of the assembly before assembly.

Figure 3 shows the assembly during the insertion of the post into the tube.
Figure 4 shows the completed post.
Figure 5 shows a first variant of the tube.
Figure 6 shows a second variant of the tube.
Figure 7 shows a third variant of the tube.
Figure 8 shows an alternative embodiment of the post.
The assembly shown in FIG. 1 comprises a tube 1, made of metal, for example steel, the upper end of which is provided with a threaded crown 2, and the lower end of which is closed by three pleats formed by pinching of the material. A little above its lower end 3, the tube 1 is provided with three holes 4, 5 and 6 regularly distributed over a circumference. The assembly also comprises a post 7, made of metal and tubular in the example under consideration, with an outside diameter slightly smaller than the inside diameter of the tube 1 and the lower end of which is provided with three steel rods 8, 9 and 10 located in the extension of the post 7, but slightly deviating from the axis of this post. These rods are fixed to the post 7 by crimping or welding or by any other means.
The ends of these rods are bent outwards so as to form a sort of hook. These ends are distributed over a circumference in the same way as the holes 4, 5 and 6, the diameter of this circumference being slightly greater than the inside diameter of the tube 1. The assembly is completed by a disc 11 made of concrete provided with a metallic liner 12 internally threaded.
The installation of the post is carried out as follows: at the desired location, a hole 14 of sufficient diameter is dug in the ground 13 to be able to easily insert the tube 1. It is of course possible to tap on the tube for the 'drive into the hole. In parallel, the post 7 is introduced into the tube 1. For this purpose, the rods 8, 9 and 10 are slightly tightened together, by elastic bending, which can generally be done by hand, so that their ends can be introduced into the tube. Markers make it possible to introduce the post 7 into the tube 1 so that the ends of the rods 8, 9 and 10 arrive opposite the holes 4, 5 and 6 and come to hang in these holes by their curved ends. The post 7 is then driven into the tube 1 by means of a hammer 15.
This recess has the effect of forcing the rods 8, 9 and 10 through the holes 4, 5 and 6. The rods abut against the lower end of the holes, they bend upwards penetrating into the ground surrounding the hole 14. Holes 4, 5 and 6 are therefore used as a means or tool for forming anchor rods. The final position of these rods 8, 9 and 10 is shown in FIG. 4. To increase the stability of the post, the concrete disc 11 is then screwed onto the end of the tube 1. This concrete disc compresses the soil around the tube 1 and simultaneously exerts an upward pull on the rods 8, 9 and 10, which has the effect of improving the stability of the post.
The upper end of the tube, as well as its holes, can be executed in many ways. Figures 5 to 7 illustrate variants by way of example.
According to the variant shown in Figure 5, the tube 1 is provided at its upper end with four wings 16, 17, 18 and 19 forming a cross extending perpendicular to the axis of the tube. These wings are obtained by vertically slitting the wall of the tube and by folding the tabs thus cut. This cross increases the stability of the tube. Stability is clearly improved by folding the ends of the wings parallel to the tube and towards its lower end, these folded parts coming to crash into the ground when the tube is put in place.
According to the variant shown in Figure 6, the side holes of the tube 1 are formed by tabs cut vertically in the wall of the tube and slightly folded towards the inside of the tube.
In the variant shown in Figure 7, the holes are formed by horizontal incision 23 of the tube and pushing the material located below the incision towards the inside of the tube.
In the variant shown in Figure 8, the concrete disc 11 'is substantially thicker than the disc 11 of Figures 1 and 4. When this disc 11' is screwed onto the threaded part 2 of the tube 1, its threaded sleeve 12 ' is only partially screwed onto the tube 1, so that it is possible to fix on and around the post 7 a tube 24 provided with a threaded end 25 which is screwed into the jacket 12 'of the disc concrete. On a post 7 of standard height, it is thus possible to fix a post or a mast much higher.
The post 7 and the tube 24 can be made of any suitable material.
The number of holes in the tube and the number of rods can be any. It is possible to provide holes and rods on different levels. The pressure disc 11 could be of another material such as metal, wood or synthetic material or a combination of these materials.
