Description

BESCHREIBUNG
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine mindestens zwei stossverbundene Teile aufweisende Kunststoffolienbahn.
Es ist bekannt, Kunststoffolienbahnen, weichein der Produktion eine gewisse Breite, normalerweise 2m aus herstellungstechnischen Gründen, nicht überschreiten, durch Schweissung oder durch Klebung miteinander zu verbinden, um grössere Bahnbreiten zu erreichen.
Eine derartige Verbindung muss als sog. Überlappverbindung hergestellt werden, da eine Stossverbindung, wie sie beim Schweissen von Blechen bekannt ist, bei Kunststoffolien bisher aus Festigkeitsgründen nicht möglich war. Wenn auch ein derartiges Stumpf verbinden versucht wurde, beispielsweise mittels sog. Schweissschnüre, konnten diese Verbindungen nichtbefrie-digen, da sie festigkeitsmässig die an sie gestellten Anforderungen nicht zu erfüllen vermochten.
Wenn auch die Überlappverbindungen festigkeitsmässig den Anforderungen genügen, so weisen sie doch den grossen Nachteil auf, dass im Bereich der Überlappung die Dicke der Kunststoffolienbahn verdoppelt wird. Da der Trend nach dickeren Folien geht, wirkt sich diese Dickenverdoppelung immer unangenehmer aus, indem ein Aufrollen derartiger Folienbahnen in annehmbarer Form kaum mehr möglich ist.
Es wurde zwar versucht, durch sog. Anschiften der zu verbindenden Ränder diesen Dickensprung zu verhüten, was sich aber ausserordentlich kostspielig auf die Herstellung derartiger Kunststoffolienbahnen auswirkt und infolge der äussersten dünnen Randpartien der geschifteten Teile, insbesondere beim Schweissen, gewisse Schwierigkeiten auftraten.
Die vorliegende Erfindung bezweckt eine Kunststoffolienbahn, die sich aus mindestens zwei stossverbundenen Teilen zusammensetzt, festigkeitsgerecht herzustellen und damit für die Technik unter den gegebenen Vorschriften anwendbar zu gestalten.
Dieser Zweck kann erfindungsgemäss dadurch erreicht werden, dass die Stosslinien der beiden Teile mindestens auf einem
Teil ihrer Länge gebogen und/oder gebrochen ausgebildet sind.
Auf diese Weise entsteht anstelle der bekannten gradlinigen linearen Stösse eine Stossverbindung mit zweidimensionalem Verlauf der Stosslinien, wodurch die entsprechenden Festigkeits-s Vorschriften im Nahtbereich für derartige Folienbahnen einhaltbar werden.
Die Erfindung wird anschliessend beispielsweise anhand einer Zeichnung erläutert.
Es zeigen:

Die Fig. 1 und2zeigen eine Kunststoffolienbahn 1 im Ausschnitt, welche sich aus zwei Kunststoffolien 2 und 3 zusammensetzt. Die Ränder dieser Folien 2 und 3 sind als Stosslinien 5 20 und 6 mäanderförmig ausgebildet und beispielsweise mittels Stanzwerkzeugen hergestellt. Diese Stosslinien 5 und 6 legen freie Ränder der Folien 2 und 3 fest, die ineinandergreifen und damit a priori eine formschlüssige Verbindung bilden. Die Verbindung dieser Folien 2 und 3 kann durch deren Zusam-25 menschweissen an den Stosslinien 5 und 6 erfolgen. Bestehen die Folien beispielsweise aus Polyäthylen, so sind diese Bereiche der Stosslinien 5 und 6 auf Temperaturen im Schmelzbereich zu erhöhen, so dass die Ränder ineinander überfliessen und damit eine zugstarke Verbindung ergeben, welche, durch die Form-30 schlüssigkeit und die Länge der verbindenden Schweisslinien bedingt, den Anforderungen bezüglich Zugfestigkeit genügen.
Es ist dabei möglich, diese mäanderförmigen gebogenen Stosslinien zusätzlich zu zahnen oder zu kerben, womit insbesondere die Schweissnahtlänge weiterhin verlängert wird, was sich 35 positiv auf den Zusammenhalt der beiden Folien 2 und 3 auswirkt.
Wie Fig. 2 zeigt, ist es auf diese Weise möglich, Folien miteinander zu verbinden, welche keine merkliche Verdickung ergeben, d. h. welche im Sinne von Blechen im Stoss und nicht in 40 Überlappung verbunden werden können.
Eine weitere Ausführungsmöglichkeit zeigt Fig. 3, welche grundsätzlich gleich aufgebaut ist bezüglich Stosslinien, wie die Fig. 1 und 2. Die hier dargestellte Kunststoffolienbahn 8 besteht ebenfalls aus zwei Kunststoffolien 9 und 10 - es können natürlich 45x-beliebige Folienanzahlen auf diese Art miteinander verbunden werden- wobei die beiden Stosslinien 12 und 13 nicht aneinan-derstossen, sondern einen Zwischenraum 14 freilassen, in den beispielsweise eine Verbindungspaste, insbesondere ein sog. Plastisol, eingebracht werden kann, worauf das Ganze erhitzt so und die beiden Folien 9 und 10 miteinander verbunden werden und dann die nötige Zugfestigkeit aufweisen. Bei der dargestellten Ausführung ist ferner ein Kunststoffband 16 als mögliche Verstärkung auf der einen Seite - es kann auch beidseitig sein-aufgebracht, dasz. B. aus Kevlar oder Polyester od. dgl., besteht 55und beschichtet sein kann. Bei dieser Ausführung ist die Dicke im Bereich der Verbindungsstelle durch das Anbringen des Kunststoffbandes 16 etwas angewachsen, jedoch im Verhältnis zur Dicke bei Überlappschweissungen immer noch sehr klein.
Die Fig. 5 bis 8 zeigen weitere Möglichkeiten der Ausbildung 60von Stosslinien 20-23, welche hier als gebrochene Linien ausgebildet sind. Dabei zeigt Fig. 5 ein sog. Schwalbenschwanzverbindung, d. h. eine formschlüssige Verbindung, während die Fig. 6, 7 und 8 durch die Schweissverbindung zu kraftschlüssigen Verbindungen gemacht werden.
65 Es ist auch hier möglich, durch entsprechende Zahnung das Ineinandergreifen zu verbessern und formschlüssig zu gestalten.
Auf diese Weise ist es möglich, bei optimalen Fabrikationsbedingungen von beispielsweise 2 m breiten Bahnen, Kunststoff

bahnen, besonders aus thermoplastischem Material, mühelos in irgend einer Breite endlos oder genau flächenmässig dimensioniert zu erstellen, ohne dass dafür maschinelle Schwierigkeiten enstehen. Aufgrund der Ausbildung der Stosslinien in gebogener und/oder gebrochener Form, können die verlangten Zugfestigkeiten erreicht werden, was beider Stossschweissung, z. B. mittels Schweissschnüren bei geraden Stosslinien nicht erreichbar ist.
Bei den Kunststoffolien kann es sich um armierte oder nicht armierte Folien handeln. Grundsätzlich ändert an den vorbeschriebenen Tatsachen nichts.

Claims (7)

674 175 PATENTANSPRÜCHE
1. Mindestens zwei stossverbundene Teile (2,3) aufweisende Kunststoffolienbahn (1), dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Stosslinien (5,6,20,23) der beiden Teile (2,3) mindestens auf einem Teil ihrer Länge gebogen und/oder gebrochen ausgebildet sind.
2. Kunststoffolienbahn nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Stosslinien mindestens auf einem Teil ihrer Länge formschlüssig ineinandergreifen (Fig. 1, 3,5).
3. Kunststoffolienbahn nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Stosslinien mindestens auf einem Teil ihrer Länge gezahnt oder gekerbt sind.
4. Kunststoffolienbahn nach einem der Ansprüche 1-3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Stosslinien durch eine Klebepaste oder durch Schweissung miteinander verbunden sind, z.B. mittels einer Schweissschnur.
5. Kunststoffolienbahn nach einem der Ansprüche 1-4, gekennzeichnet durch mindestens ein Kunststoffband (16), welches die Stosslinien (12,13) überdeckt und mit den beiden Teilen (9,10) verschweisst oder verklebt ist.
6. Kunststoffolienbahn nach Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Band (16) eine Armierung aufweist, z.B. Kevlar oder Polyester, und vorzugsweise beschichtet ist.
7. Kunststoffolienbahn nach einem der Ansprüche 1-6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Stosslinien (12,13) einen Abstand (14) voneinander aufweisen.
