BESCHREIBUNG

DESCRIPTION
The invention relates to a molding machine for producing sand foundry molds in mold boxes, according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
Various methods of compacting the sand are known for filling blow boxes with sand and producing the sand molds, e.g. shaking, shaking with repressing, pressing, in particular high pressure pressing, shaking under pressure and shooting the sand with or without gas or air pressure, stamping and the like. Processes, individually or in combination. It is important to have a uniform and controllable hardness distribution in the molding sand over the entire area of the molding box, in particular in its edge areas, regardless of the shape of the model body.
DE-PS 2 513 369 and CH-PS 643 762 show the basic structure of a molding machine, in particular the feeding and removal of the molding boxes and various additional devices to be used.
DE-OS 3 329 585 and DE-OS 3 445 936 each show a molding machine. where the molding box rests on a vibrating table. The pressing from the top of the molding box is carried out by a large number of pressing pistons (multi-ram press) distributed over the surface of the molding box. Here the sand is vibrated during the mechanical pressing process. The disadvantage here is that on the one hand the sand distribution over the cross section of the molding box is not adapted to the inserted model body and the sand does not adapt to the shape due to the arrangement of the press pistons despite shaking, i. H. cannot accumulate in deeper parts of the form. Another disadvantage is that due to the resilient mounting of the model, the plungers cannot exert their full pressure on the sand.
An improvement of this arrangement can be found in GB-OS 2 134426, in which the springs with their unbalance exciter are supported on springs themselves, which results in an increased vibration effect. The disadvantage of this design is that the vibration is not matched to the weight of the molding box and the setting effect is therefore insufficient. Imbalance exciters, which are supported directly on a spring system, have also become known from the aforementioned patents.
The aim of the invention is to eliminate the above-mentioned disadvantages, in particular to ensure that the sand is compacted in a correct and uniform manner over the entire area of the molding box. This is achieved with a molding machine which has the features of the characterizing part of patent claim 1.
According to claims 2 and 3 between a fixed part of the machine and the support plate on which the mold box rests, the support plate carrying springs vibrating under the action of the unbalance exciter are arranged, which is particularly advantageous during the filling process of the sand. The sand also moves laterally due to the vibration and thus reaches the lower parts of the mold.
When the molding box is filled, the sand is evenly pre-compacted.
Only with the high pressure repressing does the floating storage of the molding box end and, as can be seen from claims 5 and 6, does the support plate with the molding box sit firmly on the lower press table.
The mechanical repressing can be carried out without being influenced by the springs and without overforcing them.
After the sand is well distributed over the entire shape, you get a uniform density over the entire sand shape.
The arrangement described in claims 4 and 5 also results in a double mass vibration effect for the machine.
By using the method described in claims 10 and 11, the desired compression is achieved. The two compression processes can be clearly separated and specifically influenced.
An exemplary embodiment of a machine according to the invention for producing foundry molds in mold boxes is shown in the drawings. Show it
Fig. 1 is a schematic vertical section through the machine in the basic position, i.e. before the actual sand molding, but with the models used, FIG. 2 shows an embodiment variant in which the molded parts are arranged directly under the sand filling mechanism,
Fig. 3 shows the machine with a positive model, after the sand filling and before the press cycle, and
Fig. 4 shows the machine with a negative model, after filling the sand and before the press cycle.
1 shows a press table 9 with double mass vibrating system 8 to 17, which can be slid on and off a guide column 18 and is placed on two hydraulic cylinders 19. The guide column bearing and the hydraulic cylinders are firmly connected to the machine frame 31. Two unbalance motors 15 are attached to the weight 14 of the exciter. The guide columns 16 mounted on the exciter, together with the weight 14 and the cover plates 45 arranged above the columns, form two closed frames 33, in each of which a reactor spring 17 is clamped as a compression spring. The horizontal part 36 of the connecting piece, the vertical part 37 of which is connected to the support plate 8, engages approximately in the middle of these reactor springs.
In the press table 9 there are four guides 10 for the support plate 8, which have a widened header 13.
A support spring 11 is arranged around each guide 10, on which the support plate 8, which is mounted on the guides so as to slide up and down, is supported. The highest position of the support plate with respect to the press table 9 is limited by the abutment of its support 12 on the headers 13.
As explained later, the compressive force of the support springs 11 is adjusted in such a way that the support plate begins to lower only after a predetermined load has been reached by the parts of the molding machine lying thereon or the filled sand.
The guides 10 with the support springs 11 each lie in two spaced, aligned sleeve parts, of which the lower part having an upper flat end 39 belongs to the press table 9 and the upper part having a lower flat end 38 belongs to the support plate 8. The flat terminations 38, 39 are designed such that they come to lie on one another as the load on the support plate 8 increases, and thus the press table 9 and the support plate 8 form a unit.
The support plate 8 serves to hold the model body arranged on a model carrier 1 or la, in the present case for a model lower part 2 or a model upper part 2a. Model carrier with model body lie on the arms of a swivel device 3. In the vertical direction, above the support plate 8, there is a molding box 5, which for the purpose of replacement on a roller conveyor 4, z. B.
a molding path running perpendicular to the plane of the representation is arranged. The molded boxes 5 placed side by side on the roller conveyor are partially pushed on. Above the molded box inserted for filling, a filling frame 6 which can be freely moved up and down on four filling frame holders 7 is suspended.
The filling device arranged above the filling frame 6 consists of two independent components. The upper component 25 is designed as a sand container and has at its lower opening two sliders 26 with guide rollers and any pushing and pushing device. The sand container stands on a pressure measuring device, not shown. In this way, a previously set amount of sand can be filled. The sand air housing 20 is firmly connected to the machine frame 31 as a lower component. A plurality of comb shafts 21 rotate in this housing in order to air out the sand and in particular the tuber of sand. The z. B. connected with cam belts and synchronously rotating by means of an electric motor comb shafts are continuous shafts, in which comb-like striking pins are inserted. Two layers of distribution slats 22, 23 are arranged crosswise under the comb shafts.
The continuous plate slats, which can be swiveled at the end by hand or by machine and are mounted in the sand-air housing 20, have the task of distributing the sand as specifically as possible over the area of the molding box 5. For additional loosening and to make it more difficult for the sand to get stuck, a sieve 24 consisting of two rows of wires which are arranged crosswise at some distance is arranged under the slats.
In the lower component, the press ram 27 is connected to a pressure receiving plate 28. which is displaceably or pivotably mounted on the machine frame 31 in such a way that the sand scraper 30 attached to the pressure receiving plate 28 moves over the upper side of the filling frame and thereby pushes away the excess sand. The displacement drive consists, for. B. from a crank mechanism 29th
To replace the models 2, 2a, a model changing device 32 is attached to the machine frame 31, which lifts the model carriers 1, la out of the pivoting device 3 so far that they can be pushed sideways onto a roller conveyor. Then a new model 2, 2a with its model carrier 1, la can be pushed onto the model changing device.
FIG. 2 shows a variant with a filling device 20 to 26 firmly connected to the plate of the press ram 27.
The entire system lies on rollers on the machine frame 31 and can be moved back and forth, for example as shown or by 90 from the position shown in the opposite direction. With this embodiment it is achieved that, as in FIG. 1, there is no gap for the punch 27 between the sand container 25 or sand blower 20 and the filling frame 6 or molding box 5 and the vibrating system for the high-pressure pressing process does not have to be lowered first. This saves time; more shapes can be produced.
Fig. 3 shows the molding machine after the filling of sand has been completed and before the repressing or final pressing of the mold. Filling device 20 to 26, filling frame 6 and molding box 5 with inserted model 2 with model carrier 1 are pushed together by pushing up the support plate 8 by means of the press table 9. The total weight of model carrier 1 with model 2, molding box 5 and filling frame 6 and filled sand has exceeded the compressive force of the support spring 11, so that the bearing surface 12 of the support plate 8 has detached from the header 13 of the support plate guide 10. The support plate 8 is in suspension on the support springs, which is important in relation to the full effect of the vibration of the double mass vibrating system on the support plate. The sand is distributed and pre-compacted during filling.
In the positive model 2 used in FIG. 3, it is now important to supply the larger portion of sand 35 to the lateral area of the molding box. As the illustration shows, a trough-shaped sand surface can be produced by a correctly selected position of the guide vanes 22, 23, which gives the advantage of a subsequent better edge pressure and thus a more uniform distribution of hardness of the sand over the entire area of the frame. In this system, the sand wiper 30 is omitted from FIG. 1.
FIG. 4 shows the same device as FIG. 3, but with a negative mold 2a; here as much sand as possible must accumulate in the middle. The optimal position of the guide vanes 22, 23 is tested for each model and the position of the drive motors of the guide vanes is programmed for the correct distribution of the sand. Individual optimal conditions can be created for each model at the push of a button.
After the description of the structure of the molding machine, the description of its working process follows:
In principle, the molding sand is pre-compacted by means of vibration and then high-pressure post-compressed.
Fig. 1 shows the position of the molding machine before the first cycle.
A molding box 5 for a mold half has been pushed from the side molding section onto the roller conveyor 4 under the foundry mold. At the same time, the model body 2 on the model carrier 1 is pivoted into the molding machine via the pivoting device 3. Due to their pretensioning, the support springs 11 press the support plate 8 with its supports 12 against the headers 13 of the support plate guides 10.
In the next cycle, the support plate 8 is lifted by means of the two hydraulic cylinders 19 of the press table 9 and via the four support springs 11, these from the swivel device 3 the model plate 1 with the model 2, the molding box 5 from the roller conveyor 4 and the filling frame 6 from the Filling frame bracket 7, stacked one above the other.
The entire package is lifted until it connects to the sand fan housing 20. When the filling frame is picked up and before the sand is poured into the molding box 5, the prestressing pressure of the support springs 11 is exceeded and the support plate 8 floats under the action of the support springs 11. The support plate with its supports 12 no longer lies on the headrail 13 of the support plate guides 10 at.
A sand mass weighed depending on the model is located in the sand container 25. The slider 26 are slowly opened ge and the sand falls over the loosening comb shafts 21 and guide vanes 22, 23 through the sieve 24 in the filling frame 6 in the molding box 5. At the same time, the two unbalance motors 15 are switched on. The exciter 14 is set in vibration and transmits it via the reactor springs 17 to the floating support plate 8 and thus to the model carrier 1, the molding box 5 and the filling frame 6. The sand is vibrated and pre-compressed. The support springs 11 transmit only small forces to the press table 9, but increase the vibrating effect of the vibrating system 14 to 17. With the further filling of sand, the total weight resting on the support plate 8 does not exceed the compressive force of the support springs 11.
There is only a lowering of the support plate 8 within the press table 9, which results in the positions shown in Figures 3 and 4. By holding the support plate 8 floating on the support springs 11, the full effect of the vibrating mass system 14 to 17 is achieved on the sand 35, which is fed to the recessed areas of the model on the one hand and is pre-compressed step by step during filling.
After completion of the sand filling cycle, the press table is lowered by means of the press cylinder 19 until there is sufficient space between the filling frame 6 and the filling device 20 to 26 for the lateral insertion of the press ram 27 by means of the crank drive 29.
Event. Protruding sand can be stripped from the sand scraper 30.
When the press table with the stacked package 1, 2, 8, 5, 6, 35 is raised again, the press stamp 27 passes through the filling frame 6 into the molding box 5 and lies on the sand 35. The pressure of the press cylinder 19 is increased so that under the counterpressure of the press ram arranged on the counterpressure plate 28 on the sand 35, the support springs 11 are pressed together from the support plate 8 until their flat part 38 rests on the flat part 39 of the press table. This results in a rigid base for the high-pressure pressing of the hydraulic cylinder 19. The sand that is filled in is pressed again. This process can be continued until the desired pressure is reached. Thereby. that the sand has been filled in a predetermined distribution over the molding box, there is an even pressure across the entire sand structure.
It should be noted. that the vibrating system is switched off with the press ram during high-pressure pressing and therefore does not suffer any damage.
The press table 9 is lowered for demolding. The various parts placed on it, such as filling frame 5, molding box 6 with sand mold 35 are put back into their basic position. The shaped model 2 with the model carrier 1 remains on the support plate 8. In order to facilitate demolding, it is important that the support plate 8 is briefly held in a floating position when the model is released from the mold. The molding box 8 is automatically pushed out of the molding machine with the mold and at the same time the model for the other mold half is pivoted into the molding line by means of the pivoting device 3; everything is now ready for the next cycle.
As described, the high-pressure pressing takes place by means of the hydraulic cylinder, counter to the holding down of the pressing die 27. However, it is also conceivable to use the pressing die 27 itself as a pressure element, which is particularly advantageous if the pressing pressure is specifically aimed at different ones according to the outer shape of the model Points of the surface of the molding box should be exercised differentially. For example, the press stamp 27 can consist of a multiplicity of individual stamps in a known manner (multi-stamp).
It should also be added that FIG. 3 shows the uneven distribution of the partially compacted sand 35 which has been filled in and which is mostly located next to the model 2, which results in a good edge pressure and a homogeneous sand compaction.
Fig. 4 shows another distribution; most of the sand is in the middle of the molding box. This variation of the sand distribution takes place by adjusting the angle of inclination of the guide blades 22, 23. As explained in a parallel application, the adjustment can also be automated and preprogrammed depending on the model to be molded.
Other parts of the molding machine, such as swivel device 3 for the model exchange, device 32 for changing the model body, roller conveyor 4 for feeding and removing the molding boxes 5 and the extension and retraction device 28, 29 for the press stamp 27 with a sand wiper 30 can also be automated .
