BESCHREIBUNG
DESCRIPTION
The invention relates to a changing device for the die plate of the tool device of a plastic injection molding machine which is fixed on a carrier sleeve. Such die plates are e.g. B. used for the production of compact discs (CD) provided with information formed by pits on one side. The handling of these dies when removing them from a magazine, when transporting them to the injection molding machine and when handing them over to the tooling device (and vice versa) must be carried out extremely gently, precisely and quickly, which is practically only possible through appropriate automation of the entire process.
The present invention is therefore based on the object of providing a changing device of the type mentioned which enables the receiving, holding, releasing and releasing of the die plate which is stuck on its support sleeve in a simple and safe manner without the slightest undesirable load on the die plate itself.
To achieve this object, the changing device according to the invention has a support plate connected to a feed and removal device, from which a coupling head of a coupling device, which can be inserted axially into the support sleeve of the die plate by corresponding movement of the support plate, projects into and out of clutch engagement by reversible actuating means carried by the support plate can be brought with the inner wall of the carrier sleeve.
An embodiment has proven to be particularly advantageous in which the coupling device has an expansion sleeve, the expansion part of which can be moved radially by means of an expansion body which can be brought into and out of action and can be temporarily coupled to the inner wall of the support sleeve by means of a clamping action. The desired depth of penetration of the expansion part into the carrier sleeve can be limited by a guide sleeve which serves as a centering stop and is coaxial with the expansion sleeve and is fixed to the support plate.
In the accompanying drawing, an embodiment of the invention is shown in axial section, both in and out of the operative position of the coupling head.
In the drawing, 1 is a support plate arranged on the front of a feed and removal device, not shown. On the back of this support plate 1, the cylinder 2 of a hydraulic device is attached, the piston rod 3 of which protrudes through a bore in the support plate 1 through the front of the latter. On the front of the support plate and coaxially to the piston rod 3, a guide sleeve 4 is attached. In this guide sleeve 4, an expansion sleeve 5 is inserted, which is secured both against rotation and against axial displacement. The expanding part of the expanding sleeve 5 formed by radially elastic, in its inactive inactive position (lower half of the drawing) conically slightly expanded spreading arms 5a protrudes beyond the free end of the guide sleeve 4.
On the free end of the piston rod 3 there is an expansion body 6 which can be displaced axially to a limited extent in the expansion sleeve 5 and which ends in an expansion cone 6a which interacts with the expansion arms 5a of the expansion sleeve 5. When the piston rod 3 is pushed into its front end position by appropriate piston action (lower half of the drawing), in which a cone shoulder 7a of the expansion body 6 bears against a correspondingly conical stop shoulder 7b of the expansion sleeve 5, the expansion cone 6a is located in the front end region of the one against it Spreading arms 5a; The outer surface of the slightly thickened head part 5b of these spreading arms 5a lies on a cylindrical surface, the diameter of which is somewhat smaller than the inner diameter of the carrier sleeve 13 of the die plate 14.
Thus, as shown in the drawing, the coupling head formed by the spreading arms 5a with their head part 5b and the spreading cone 6a provided on the spreading body 6 can be moved axially as far from the end of the die plate 14 by corresponding movement of the support plate 1 of the feed and removal device Carrier sleeve 13 are inserted into the latter until the end face of the guide sleeve 4 bears against the end face of the support sleeve 13. It is of course assumed that the carrier sleeve 13 either on a suitable, for. B. at 8 indicated magazine holder, or in a corresponding holder of the tool device (as shown for example at 9) is provided.
By retracting the piston rod 3 and thus the expansion body 6 in the expansion sleeve 5, the expansion cone 6a causes the expansion arms 5a to expand radially. The head parts 5b of the spreading arms 5a are thereby pressed against the inner wall of the support sleeve 13 (upper half of the drawing), which results in the secure clamping of the support sleeve 13 on the coupling head and thus a firm connection with the support plate 1.
The die plate 14, which is stuck on the carrier sleeve 13, can be pulled out or inserted axially from the magazine holder 8 or the holder 9 of the tool device by means of the feed and removal device. When the piston rod 3 and thus the expansion cone 6a are advanced again, the expansion arms 5a spring back into their radially inner rest position, so that the coupling with the carrier sleeve 13 is released again and the coupling head by correspondingly axially moving the feed and removal device out of the carrier sleeve 1 -3 can be pulled out.
With the described device, a perfect change of the die plate can be carried out, whereby all necessary movements can be automated.
