REVENDICATIONS
1. Support pour plaque d'immatriculation d'un véhicule, caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend une plaque réalisée par moulage et présentant un évidement pour la plaque d'immatriculation, la plaque moulée présentant sur au moins trois de ses côtés entourant l'évidement un cadre présentant une surface agencée pour servir de support publicitaire, la plaque d'immatriculation étant destinée à être maintenue dans l'évidement par deux pièces de fixation placées sur deux côtés opposés du cadre.
2. Support selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce qu'au moins un des côtés du cadre adjacents aux deux côtés opposés portant les pièces de fixation présente une largeur de plus grande dimension que les largeurs des autres côtés du cadre.

Support selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que les pièces de fixation comprennent un tenon introduit dans un alésage prévu sur le côté latérale du cadre, la pièce présentant une languette de recouvrement parallèle au tenon et s'étendant sur le cadre et une partie de l'évidement lorsque la pièce est dans sa position de ferme

4. Support selon la revendication 3, caractérisé en ce que la pièce de fixation comprend un tenon inamovible forcé dans l'alésage prévu sur le côté latéral du cadre.
5. Support selon la revendication 3, caractérisé en ce que la pièce de fixation comprend un tenon se présentant sous la forme d'une
tige coulissant dans l'alésage prévu sur le côté latéral du cadre, la pièce étant amenée dans sa position de fixation par l'action d'un ressort et amenée dans sa position d'ouverture par une pression latérale vers l'extérieur contre l'action du ressort.
6. Support selon une des revendications 3 à 5, caractérisé en ce
que la pièce de fixation est agencée pour exercer une pression contre
la plaque lorsqu'elle est dans sa position de fermeture.
7. Support selon la revendication 5, caractérisé en ce que l'extrémité libre de la tige coulissant dans l'alésage présente une butée venant prendre appui contre un étrier solidaire du support lorsque la
pièce de fixation est dans sa position d'ouverture.
8. Support selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que la plaque moulée comprend un cadre sur trois côtés, les extrémités
libres des deux côtés opposés présentant sur leur face intérieure un
arrondi destiné à retenir les coins de la plaque d'immatriculation.
9. Support selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que la plaque moulée comprend un cadre complet s'étendant sur les quatre
côtés de l'évidement.
10. Support selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce qu'au moins deux renfoncements de forme circulaire sont prévus dans l'évidement et présentent chacun un alésage destiné à recevoir une vis de fixation.
11. Support selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce qu'il est réalisé en matière plastique.
L'invention a pour objet un support pour plaque d'immatriculation d'un véhicule.
On connaît de nombreux types de supports pour plaque d'immatriculation d'un véhicule, notamment d'un véhicule automobile. Ces supports se présentent habituellement sous forme d'encadrements métalliques destinés d'une part à renforcer la plaque d'immatriculation et d'autre part à permettre la fixation de ladite plaque sur la carrosserie du véhicule. Ces supports sont habituellement réalisés en plusieurs pièces qui doivent être assemblées autour de la plaque d'immatriculation avant d'être fixés sur la carrosserie du véhicule.
Le but de l'invention est de proposer un support pour plaque d'immatriculation d'un véhicule se présentant sous une forme extrêmement simple et permettant la fixation de la plaque au moyen de deux vis ou rivets traversant le support. Ce support présentera un emplacement destiné à recevoir un message publicitaire, par exemple le nom d'un garage, d'une entreprise ou d'un produit.
Le support selon l'invention est caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend une plaque réalisée par moulage et présentant un évidement pour la plaque d'immatriculation, la plaque moulée présentant sur au moins trois de ses côtés entourant l'évidement un cadre présentant une surface agencée pour servir de support publicitaire, la plaque d'immatriculation étant destinée à être maintenue dans l'évidement par deux pièces de fixation placées sur deux côtés opposés du cadre.
Au moins un des côtés du cadre ajacents aux deux côtés opposés portant les pièces de fixation peut présenter une largeur de plus grande dimension que les largeurs des autres côtés du cadre.
Dans un mode d'exécution préféré, les pièces de fixation comprennent un tenon introduit dans un alésage prévu sur le côté latéral du cadre, la pièce de fixation présentant une languette de recouvrement parallèle aux tenons et s'étendant sur le cadre et sur une partie de la plaque d'immatriculation lorsque la pièce est dans sa position de fermeture.
Les pièces de fixation peuvent comprendre un tenon inamovible forcé dans l'alésage prévu sur le côté latéral du cadre. Une telle exécution est destinée à être utilisée une seule fois, c'est-à-dire à supporter une plaque destinée à rester fixée au véhicule de manière inamovible.
Selon une autre exécution, la pièce de fixation comprend un tenon se présentant sous la forme d'une tige coulissant dans l'alésage prévu sur le côté latéral du cadre, la pièce étant amenée dans sa position de fixation par l'action d'un ressort et amenée dans sa position d'ouverture par une pression latérale vers l'extérieur contre l'action du ressort. Cette exécution est destinée à permettre d'enlever ou de changer la plaque d'immatriculation maintenue dans le support.
Le support peut comprendre une plaque moulée présentant un cadre sur trois côtés, les extrémités libres des deux côtés opposés présentant sur leur face intérieure un arrondi destiné à retenir les coins de la plaque d'immatriculation ou peut comprendre un cadre complet s'étendant sur les quatre côtés de l'évidement.
Le support peut également comprendre au moins deux renforcements de forme circulaire prévus dans l'évidement et présentant chacun un alésage destiné à recevoir une vis ou un rivet de fixation.
Le support peut être réalisé en matière plastique.
Le dessin annexé représente, à titre d'exemple, un mode d'exécution d'un support pour plaque d'immatriculation d'un véhicule automobile, ainsi que deux variantes de pièce de fixation montée sur le support.

Le support pour plaque d'immatriculation d'un véhicule représenté dans la fig. 1 se présente sous la forme d'une plaque moulée 1, présentant en son milieu un évidement 2. L'évidement 2 présente une surface sensiblement égale à la surface de la plaque d'immatriculation qu'il est censé retenir, et la profondeur de l'évidement 2 est de même sensiblement égale à l'épaisseur de la plaque d'immatriculation. Comme mentionné dans la fig. 1, I'évidement 2 a trois côtés 3, 4 et 5 formant un cadre qui entourera la plaque d'immatriculation.
La profondeur de l'évidement 2 étant sensiblement égale à l'épaisseur de la plaque d'immatriculation qu'il est censé recevoir, les surfaces supérieures du cadre formé des trois côtés 3, 4 et 5 seront donc alignées relativement à la surface supérieure de la plaque d'immatriculation. Les trois côtés 3, 4 et 5 du cadre ont ainsi une fonction de
maintien de la plaque d'immatriculation, ainsi qu'une fonction purement esthétique. Comme représenté dans la fig. 1, le côté 4 du cadre présente une largeur de plus grande dimension que les côtés latéraux 3 et 5 et est destiné à recevoir un message publicitaire. Le message publicitaire 6 représenté dans la fig. 1 sous la dénomination HERBERT GENèSE est appliqué par un procédé d'imprimerie ou un procédé thermophotographique, ou encore par gravure ou par impression en relief. Le message publicitaire peut être le nom d'un garage, le nom d'une entreprise, le nom d'un produit, etc.
Les extrémités libres des bords latéraux 3 et 5 du cadre entourant l'évidement 2 présentent sur leurs faces intérieures un arrondi 7 et 8, respectivement. Ces arrondis 7, 8 sont destinés à entourer une partie des coins supérieurs de la plaque d'immatriculation et à éviter ainsi qu'elle puisse sortir de l'évidement par un glissement vers le haut.
Le support 1 présente deux renfoncements latéraux 9 et 10 placés respectivement à gauche et à droite dans le champ de l'évidement et un renfoncement central 11. Les renfoncements 9 et 10 sont de forme circulaire et présentent en leur centre un alésage 12 et 13 respectivement destiné à recevoir une vis ou un rivet de fixation non représenté. Le support 1 étant généralement réalisé en matière plastique, les renfoncements 9, 10 et 11 permettent de renforcer la pièce qui constitue le support tout en permettant la fixation de celui-ci contre la carrosserie d'un véhicule. Comme visible dans la fig. 2, les renfoncements 9 et 10 présentent une profondeur sensiblement plus grande que la profondeur du support 1, de sorte que le fond des évidements 9 et 10 s'appliquera contre la carrosserie du véhicule lors de la fixation du support 1.
Les côtés latéraux 3 et 5 présentent finalement chacun une pièce de fixation 14 et 15 respectivement, destinée à maintenir la plaque d'immatriculation non représentée dans la fig. 1 dans l'évidement 2 du support 1. Les pièces de fixation 14 et 15 se présentent sous la forme de deux variantes différentes qui seront décrites en détail plus loin en regard des fig. 2 à 5.
Le support 1 qui vient d'être décrit peut subir de nombreuses
modifications. Selon une variante non représentée, le cadre pourra présenter quatre parties enfermant complètement l'évidement 2.
Dans le mode d'exécution décrit en regard de la fig. 1, il n'est prévu
qu'un seul bord 4 destiné à recevoir le message publicitaire. Il est
bien évident que ce bord 4 peut être réalisé de plus grande dimen
sion, de même que les bords des côtés latéraux 3 et 5. n sera ainsi
possible d'inscrire plusieurs messages publicitaires. Dans la variante
mentionnée ci-dessus et dans laquelle l'évidement 2 est entouré de
quatre côtés, il est possible de prévoir également un message publici
taire sur ce quatrième bord supérieur non représenté.
La première variante de la pièce de fixation 14, 15, ainsi que son fonctionnement sont illustrés dans la fig. 3, et dans la coupe de la fig. 2 respectivement. La pièce de fixation 14, 15 comprend un tenon 20 de forme cylindrique présentant à une de ses extrémités une plaquette 21 et à l'autre une partie cylindrique 22 d'un diamètre légèrement supérieur à celui du tenon 20. La partie cylindrique 22 présente à son extrémité libre une encoche 23 formant une butée 24. Entre les parties 20 et 22 est prévue une rainure 25 qui servira à retenir une clavette 26 comme représenté dans la fig. 2. Une languette de recouvrement 27 forme un angle d'environ 90 avec la plaquette 21 et s'étend parallèlement au tenon 20. L'extrémité libre de la languette de recouvrement 27 présente à son extrémité libre une partie allant en s'élargissant 28 et rebord supérieur 29.
La pièce 14, 15 est introduite dans un alésage 30 prévu dans le bord latéral 3, 5 des côtés formant le cadre entourant l'évidement 2 du support, la languette 27 étant tournée vers le haut afin que la pièce puisse être introduite complètement dans l'alésage 30. Sur le tenon 20 et la partie cylindrique 22 est introduit un ressort 31 qui s'appuiera d'une part contre la surface intérieure 5 du bord du cadre et d'autre part contre la clavette 26. Comme représenté dans la fig. 2, le ressort 31 presse la plaquette 21 contre le bord 5 et la partie 28 exerce une légère pression contre la plaque d'immatriculation 16 introduite dans l'évidement 2.
Il est à remarquer ici que le bord 5 est légèrement incliné et que seule la partie inférieure de la plaquette 21 s'appuie contre ledit bord 5 sous l'action du ressort 31. Ainsi, la pièce de fixation 14, 15 subit une résultante qui pousse l'extrémité 22 ainsi que la languette 27 vers le bas selon la direction indiquée par la flèche F. Cette résultante a pour effet d'appliquer la partie 28 contre la plaque d'immatriculation 16 et de maintenir celle-ci dans l'évidement 2.
Lorsque l'utilisateur désire retirer la plaque d'immatriculation 16, il exercera une pression horizontale vers la droite (fig. 2) sur le rebord 29, ce qui fera pivoter légèrement la pièce 14, 15 vers le haut dans l'alésage 30 avant de déplacer ladite pièce vers la droite.
Durant ce déplacement, la partie d'extrémité cylindrique 22 frottera sur l'étrier 32 placé sous le support jusqu'au moment où la butée 24 se mettra en place contre la partie frontale dudit étrier 32. La pièce 14, 15 sera alors dans sa position ouverte et restera bloquée dans cette position grâce à la butée 24. Lorsqu'une nouvelle plaque d'immatriculation 16 doit être replacée dans l'évidement, il suffira alors de mettre cette plaque d'immatriculation en place dans l'évidement et d'exercer une pression du haut vers le bas sur le rebord 29. Cette pression fera pivoter la pièce 14, 15 vers le bas. et permettra de désengager la butée 24 de l'étrier 32. La pièce 14, 15 sera alors libre de se déplacer vers la gauche sous l'action du ressort 31 pour venir se placer au-dessus de la plaque 16 et exercer ensuite une pression de maintien sur ladite plaque.
Ainsi, les pièces de fixation 14, 15 peuvent être amenées d'une position de fixation à une position d'ouverture avec blocage grâce à la butée 24 et l'étrier 32 et inversement.
Le support muni de ces pièces 14 et 15 est ainsi un support permettant d'enlever ou de changer les plaques d'immatriculation qu'il est censé recevoir.
Les fig. 4 et 5 représentent respectivement la mise en place et la représentation en perspective d'une variante 35 de la pièce de fixation qui vient d'être décrite plus haut. Cette variante 35 présente un tenon 36 formé de deux parties 37 et 38 séparées par une rainure. Le tenon 36 est réalisé dans une matière présentant une certaine élasticité et permettant aux deux parties d'être rapprochées l'une de l'autre lorsqu'elles sont introduites dans l'alésage 30 prévu dans le bord 5 du cadre entourant l'évidement 2. Le tenon 36 supporte une plaquette d'extrémité 21 identique à la plaquette d'extrémité du mode d'exécution des fig. 2 et 3, cette plaquette supportant une lan
guette de recouvrement 27, une partie alla . en s'élargissant 28 et un rebord supérieur 29.
La pièce de fixation 35 est une pièce inamovible qui est destinée à être mise en place pour retenir une plaque d'immatriculation de manière permanente. Elle n'est pas destinée à être sortie de l'alésage
30. Mis à part ce fait, la pièce de fixation 35 remplit les mêmes fonc
tions que les pièces 14 et 15 de la variante précédente. Lorsqu'elle a
été mise en place par une simple introduction du tenon 36 dans l'alé
sage 30 où elle est forcée, elle maintiendra la plaque d'immatricula
tion 16 représentée dans la fig. 4, tout en exerçant une certaine pres
sion contre ladite plaque. Cela est, comme dans la variante précé
dente, dû au fait que le bord 5 du support 1 est légèrement incliné
par rapport à la plaquette d'extrémité 21 de la pièce 35.
Le support 1 qui vient d'être décrit ainsi que les deux variantes des pièces de fixation 15, respectivement 16 et 35 sont de préférence
réalisés en matière plastique par moulage. Ce sont donc des pièces
d'un prix de revient relativement bas. Elles présentent cependant un
effet esthétique remarquable et permettent de porter un message pu
blicitaire. Elles offrent l'avantage de pouvoir. selon la variante
choisie des pièces de fixation, permettre le changement desdites
plaques ou, dans une exécution plus simple. retenir une plaque fixée
pour une certaine période à une carrosserie.

CLAIMS
1. Support for a license plate of a vehicle, characterized in that it comprises a plate produced by molding and having a recess for the license plate, the molded plate having on at least three of its sides surrounding the recess a frame having a surface arranged to serve as an advertising medium, the license plate being intended to be held in the recess by two fixing pieces placed on two opposite sides of the frame.
2. Support according to claim 1, characterized in that at least one of the sides of the frame adjacent to the two opposite sides carrying the fixing parts has a width of greater dimension than the widths of the other sides of the frame.

The invention relates to a support for a vehicle license plate.
Many types of supports are known for the license plate of a vehicle, in particular of a motor vehicle. These supports are usually in the form of metal frames intended on the one hand to reinforce the license plate and on the other hand to allow the fixing of said plate on the vehicle body. These supports are usually made of several parts which must be assembled around the license plate before being fixed to the vehicle body.
The object of the invention is to provide a support for a vehicle license plate in an extremely simple form and allowing the fixing of the plate by means of two screws or rivets passing through the support. This support will present a space intended to receive an advertising message, for example the name of a garage, a company or a product.
The support according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises a plate produced by molding and having a recess for the registration plate, the molded plate having on at least three of its sides surrounding the recess a frame having a surface arranged to serve as an advertising medium, the license plate being intended to be held in the recess by two fixing pieces placed on two opposite sides of the frame.
At least one of the sides of the frame adjacent to the two opposite sides carrying the fasteners may have a width of greater dimension than the widths of the other sides of the frame.
In a preferred embodiment, the fasteners comprise a lug inserted into a bore provided on the lateral side of the frame, the fastener having a covering tongue parallel to the lugs and extending over the frame and over a part the license plate when the part is in its closed position.
The fasteners may include a non-removable pin forced into the bore provided on the lateral side of the frame. Such an embodiment is intended to be used only once, that is to say to support a plate intended to remain fixed to the vehicle in an irremovable manner.
According to another embodiment, the fixing part comprises a tenon in the form of a rod sliding in the bore provided on the lateral side of the frame, the part being brought into its fixing position by the action of a spring and brought into its open position by lateral pressure outwards against the action of the spring. This execution is intended to allow removing or changing the license plate held in the holder.
The support may comprise a molded plate having a frame on three sides, the free ends of the two opposite sides having on their inner face a rounded shape intended to retain the corners of the license plate or may comprise a complete frame extending over the four sides of the recess.
The support may also include at least two reinforcements of circular shape provided in the recess and each having a bore intended to receive a screw or a fixing rivet.
The support can be made of plastic.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of a support for a license plate of a motor vehicle, as well as two variants of fixing part mounted on the support.

The vehicle license plate holder shown in fig. 1 is in the form of a molded plate 1, having in its middle a recess 2. The recess 2 has a surface substantially equal to the surface of the license plate that it is supposed to retain, and the depth of the recess 2 is likewise substantially equal to the thickness of the license plate. As mentioned in fig. 1, the recess 2 has three sides 3, 4 and 5 forming a frame which will surround the license plate.
The depth of the recess 2 being substantially equal to the thickness of the license plate that it is supposed to receive, the upper surfaces of the frame formed on three sides 3, 4 and 5 will therefore be aligned relative to the upper surface of the registration plate. The three sides 3, 4 and 5 of the frame thus have a function of
maintenance of the license plate, as well as a purely aesthetic function. As shown in fig. 1, the side 4 of the frame has a width of greater dimension than the lateral sides 3 and 5 and is intended to receive an advertising message. The advertising message 6 represented in FIG. 1 under the name HERBERT GENèSE is applied by a printing process or a thermophotographic process, or by engraving or by relief printing. The commercial can be the name of a garage, the name of a company, the name of a product, etc.
The free ends of the lateral edges 3 and 5 of the frame surrounding the recess 2 have on their inner faces a rounded 7 and 8, respectively. These rounds 7, 8 are intended to surround a part of the upper corners of the license plate and thus prevent it from coming out of the recess by sliding upwards.
The support 1 has two lateral recesses 9 and 10 placed respectively on the left and on the right in the field of the recess and a central recess 11. The recesses 9 and 10 are of circular shape and have in their center a bore 12 and 13 respectively intended to receive a screw or a fastening rivet not shown. The support 1 being generally made of plastic, the recesses 9, 10 and 11 make it possible to reinforce the part which constitutes the support while allowing the fixing of the latter against the body of a vehicle. As seen in fig. 2, the recesses 9 and 10 have a depth substantially greater than the depth of the support 1, so that the bottom of the recesses 9 and 10 will be applied against the body of the vehicle when the support 1 is fixed.
The lateral sides 3 and 5 finally each each have a fixing part 14 and 15 respectively, intended to hold the license plate not shown in FIG. 1 in the recess 2 of the support 1. The fixing pieces 14 and 15 are in the form of two different variants which will be described in detail below with reference to FIGS. 2 to 5.
The support 1 which has just been described can undergo numerous
modifications. According to a variant not shown, the frame may have four parts completely enclosing the recess 2.
In the embodiment described with reference to FIG. 1, there is no provision
only one edge 4 intended to receive the advertising message. It is
quite obvious that this edge 4 can be made of larger dimen
zion, as well as the edges of the lateral sides 3 and 5. n will be thus
it is possible to enter several advertising messages. In the variant
mentioned above and in which the recess 2 is surrounded by
four sides, it is possible to also foresee a public message
shut up on this fourth upper edge, not shown.
The first variant of the fixing part 14, 15, as well as its operation are illustrated in FIG. 3, and in the section of FIG. 2 respectively. The fixing piece 14, 15 comprises a tenon 20 of cylindrical shape having at one of its ends a plate 21 and at the other a cylindrical part 22 with a diameter slightly greater than that of the tenon 20. The cylindrical part 22 has at its free end a notch 23 forming a stop 24. Between the parts 20 and 22 is provided a groove 25 which will serve to retain a key 26 as shown in FIG. 2. A cover tab 27 forms an angle of approximately 90 with the plate 21 and extends parallel to the lug 20. The free end of the cover tab 27 has at its free end a widening part 28 and upper edge 29.
The part 14, 15 is introduced into a bore 30 provided in the lateral edge 3, 5 of the sides forming the frame surrounding the recess 2 of the support, the tongue 27 being turned upwards so that the part can be completely inserted into the bore 30. On the pin 20 and the cylindrical part 22 is introduced a spring 31 which will bear on the one hand against the inner surface 5 of the edge of the frame and on the other hand against the key 26. As shown in fig . 2, the spring 31 presses the plate 21 against the edge 5 and the part 28 exerts a slight pressure against the registration plate 16 inserted in the recess 2.
It should be noted here that the edge 5 is slightly inclined and that only the lower part of the plate 21 bears against said edge 5 under the action of the spring 31. Thus, the fixing part 14, 15 undergoes a result which pushes the end 22 as well as the tongue 27 downwards in the direction indicated by the arrow F. This result has the effect of applying the part 28 against the license plate 16 and of keeping it in the recess 2.
When the user wishes to remove the license plate 16, he will exert a horizontal pressure to the right (fig. 2) on the flange 29, which will slightly pivot the part 14, 15 upwards in the bore 30 before to move said piece to the right.
During this movement, the cylindrical end part 22 will rub on the stirrup 32 placed under the support until the stop 24 is put in place against the front part of said stirrup 32. The part 14, 15 will then be in its open position and will remain locked in this position thanks to the stop 24. When a new registration plate 16 must be replaced in the recess, it will then suffice to put this registration plate in place in the recess and exert pressure from top to bottom on the flange 29. This pressure will rotate the part 14, 15 down. and will make it possible to disengage the stop 24 of the stirrup 32. The part 14, 15 will then be free to move to the left under the action of the spring 31 to come to be placed above the plate 16 and then exert pressure holding on said plate.
Thus, the fasteners 14, 15 can be brought from a fastening position to an open position with locking by means of the stop 24 and the stirrup 32 and vice versa.
The support provided with these parts 14 and 15 is thus a support making it possible to remove or change the license plates that it is supposed to receive.
Figs. 4 and 5 respectively represent the installation and the perspective representation of a variant 35 of the fixing part which has just been described above. This variant 35 has a tenon 36 formed by two parts 37 and 38 separated by a groove.
