Claims (6)

  1. Tamper-proof seal intended particularly for containers of all kinds, such as trucks, tugs, tankers, maritime containers or the like, of the type comprising a block of transparent material in which is formed a cavity adapted to receive a harpoon-shaped member, removal of which causes it to be damaged, the seal comprising a male portion (3) and a female portion (2), the male portion (3) having, at one of its ends, blocking means (31) and at the other end (32) two harpoon-shaped tabs (33, 34) which are flexible under compression and breakable on being pulled apart, the female portion (2) consisting of a block (20) of transparent plastics in which is formed a tubular cavity (22) the end (23) of which is of a shape adapted to receive the end (32) of the male portion (3) so that the tabs (33, 34) thereof are able to open out, preventing said rod (30) from being withdrawn without damaging said tabs (33, 34), characterised in that the male part consists of a rod (30) made of a plastics material which cannot be restuck after it has been cut.
  2. Seal according to Claim 1, characterised in that the rod (30) has a flat area (36) on which can be inscribed an identity number identical to that which is inscribed in the block (20), the flat area (36) being positioned on that part of the rod (30) which is inserted in the female portion (2).
  3. Seal according to claim 1 or claim 2, characterised in that the tubular cavity (22) has, close to its mouth (21), a space (29) with rounded walls allowing the tabs (33, 34) on the end (32) of the rod (30) to open out when the rod is partially inserted therein, thus enabling temporary attachment of the male portion (3) to the female portion (2).
  4. Seal according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the means (31) for blocking the rod (30) consist of a bulge.
  5. Seal according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the female portion (2) consists of a block (200) comprising two openings (210, 211) formed in two opposite sides and each opening on to a tubular cavity (220, 221) adapted to receive one of the two rods (300, 301) constituting the male portion (3).
  6. Seal according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the female portion (3) consists of a block (201) containing two openings (212, 213) formed in the same side of said block (201) and each opening on to a tubular cavity (222, 223) each of which may have inserted in it one end of a cable (5) each comprising a rod (500) similar to the front part of the rod (30).
