10, Verwendung gemäss Anspruch 9 zur Bekämpfung von Insekten der zur Ordnung Diptera gehörenden Familie Calliphoridae.
Feste Aufarbeitungsformen: Stäubemittel, Streumittel, Granulate;
Flüssige Aufarbeitungsformen: a) Lösungen; b) in Wasser dispergierbare Konzentrate der Wirkstoffkombinationen:

The present invention relates to new insecticidal and acaricidal compositions which consist of or contain a combination of active substances and the use of such compositions for controlling insects and mites (order Acarina).
The control of pests is increasingly causing major problems, with environmental pollution on the one hand and the development of resistance on the other playing an essential role. Although numerous pesticides are available, there are limits to the use of chemical substances due to increasing environmental pollution. However, if - due to lower application rates - the guarantee for the complete destruction of a pest population, including its various stages of development, is no longer given, resistance development is often promoted. Pest populations are built up, which can only be inadequately or no longer controlled with the substances previously used.
Resistance can not only be built up to individual substances, but also to substance classes.
It is therefore desirable to use agents in pest control which are detrimental to the formation of resistance at tolerable amounts.
It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide means for controlling insects and mites (Acarina order), in particular parasitic and, above all, parasitic mites, with which, in the case of ecologically justifiable expenditure, effective control of the pests while largely avoiding the development of resistance is achieved.
The agents according to the invention are characterized in that the active ingredient combination which they contain consists of a compound of the formula I.
EMI1.3
in which R represents a cyclopropyl or isopropyl group, and 2- [2,4-dimethylphenylimino) -3-methyl-4-thiazoline of the formula II
EMI1.4
consists.
The individual active ingredient components from which the active ingredient combinations are composed are known as pesticides and can be prepared by known methods.
The compound of formula 1, in which R represents a cyclopropyl group, is described in BE-PS 857 896; the compound of the formula I in which R represents an isopropyl group is known from J. Med. Chem. 10 (1967), 457; the compound of formula II is described in CH-PS 614946 and known under the name Tätätol.
It has now been found that the active substance combinations present in the agents according to the invention surprisingly have a synergistic effect, i.e. that they significantly exceed the additive effect of the individual components.
The active ingredient combination preferably has a weight ratio of a compound of the formula I to the compound of the formula II of 100: 1 to 1: 100, in particular of 10: 1 to 1. I0> on.
To combat insects and mites (Acarina order), the active substance combinations can be used as such or in the form of agents which, in addition to an active substance combination, contain one or more inert additives.
Solid and liquid, natural or regenerated, customary in formulation technology, come as inert additives
Substances into consideration, such as solvents, dispersants, wetting agents, adhesives, thickeners or binders.
The active ingredient combinations can be processed into formulations such as dusts, emulsion concentrates, granules, dispersions, spraying agents, solutions or slurries. Furthermore, liquid, in particular aqueous preparations or concentrates of the active ingredient combinations for cattle baths (plunge dips), spray courses (spray races), infusions (pour on) and manual application methods for spraying or application (hand spray, hand dressing) can be used.
Agents according to the invention are expediently prepared by intimately mixing and / or grinding the active substance combinations with suitable additives, optionally with the addition of dispersing agents or solvents which are inert to the active substances. The active substance combinations can be present and used, for example, in the following processing forms:
Solid processing forms: dusts, scattering agents, granules;
Liquid processing forms: a) solutions; b) water-dispersible concentrates of the active compound combinations:
Wettable powder, pastes, emulsions.
The agents according to the invention expediently contain the active ingredient combination in a proportion of I to 80, preferably 5 to 50% by weight.
Example 1:
Spray powder 5 to 50 parts by weight of active ingredient combination are in a mixer with 5 parts by weight of an absorbent carrier material (silica K-320 or
Wessalon S) and 55 to 80 parts by weight of a carrier material (bolus alba or kaolin B 24) and a mixture of dispersants consisting of 5 parts by weight of a sodium lauryl sulfonate and 5 parts by weight of an alkyl aryl polyglycol ether, intensely mixed. These
Mix up on a pen or air jet mill
5-15 llm ground. The spray powder obtained in this way gives in
Water a good suspension.
Example 2:
Dusts 5 parts by weight of finely ground active ingredient combination are mixed intensively with 2 parts by weight of a precipitated silica and 92 parts by weight of talc.
The active ingredient combinations and the agents according to the invention which contain them show a pronounced activity against insects and mites (Acarina order), in particular their animal-parasitic forms. They are particularly effective against ticks and against insects of the Diptera order, the excellent activity against dipteras, which belong to the Calliphoridae family, to be mentioned here in particular. It is the larvae of these insects in particular that can cause great damage to livestock farming and the control of which is therefore of particular importance. The high efficiency of the active ingredient combinations and the compositions containing them is particularly worth mentioning when it comes to combating representatives of the genus Lucilia, which belongs to the Calliphoridae family, especially the species Lucilia sericata (blowfly).
