5. Plant according to claim 1, characterized in that the channels are laid at least approximately horizontally.
The invention relates to a system according to the preamble of patent claim 1. The system makes use of a known device in which the polluted air is sucked out through an air washroom. In the air washroom there is a vertical, venturi-shaped air extraction duct with a droplet separator and a collecting trough arranged underneath. The air is sucked out through a floor grate, under which there is an open channel, in which water circulates.
There is a water collection basin under the air washroom, and the suction port of the air extraction duct is near the water surface of this basin.
In the system known from CH-PS 614 139, the water flows out of the drop collecting trough through an overflow pipe into the open-topped duct under the floor grate.
The invention has for its object to provide a system designed, for example, as a continuous drum, in which, for example, paint is sprayed transversely to the direction of flow. If the air is only sucked down, as in the known system according to CH-PS 614 139, there is a risk that many paint particles will reach the opposite wall.
The object of the invention is to keep particles which would come to the opposite wall, for example, when spraying paint, away from the wall and to improve the cleaning action during suction.
The invention solves this problem with a system which is characterized in that the water flows back from the trough along a water slide plate into the one or more open channels running under the floor grate, which are additionally provided with overflow air suction openings in the channel floor.
In the following the invention is explained for example with reference to the drawing.
What is new is that part of the wall of the air washing room 20 is eliminated and replaced on the inside by the water slide plate 200. The water slide plate also replaces the previously existing overflow pipe of the collecting trough 27; it extends to the level of the water in the channels 7 and forms a termination there between the air pressure in room 1 and the negative pressure that prevails in the air washing room 20. For this reason, the rear wall 201 of the collecting trough is now pulled up further, so that it connects sealingly to the collecting plate 25. If the water slide plate or the collecting trough does not extend over the entire wall of the room 1, partitions are provided next to the slide plate (not shown), which serve the same purpose, namely to separate the room 1 from the air wash room 20 in an airtight manner.
In order to increase the cleaning effect, 7 overflow air extraction openings with an upstanding edge 71 are provided in the bottom of the channel. The protruding edge extends to the bottom of the channel, but lies below the edge of the side walls of the channel. This ensures that the extracted, contaminated air not only sweeps over the water present in the duct, but also partially passes through these overflow air suction openings. The air extracted through these openings mixes, or rather comes into intimate contact with the water emerging through the overflow opening. So that there is also sufficient water in the channel 7, it is laid at least approximately horizontally, so that the overflow air suction openings 71 in the channel are at the same level.
The air passage openings 10 provided under the channel in the supporting walls can be provided or omitted as required.
If the room 1 is designed as a continuous tunnel, it is advantageous to arrange the water sliding plates 200 offset from one another on two mutually opposite longitudinal walls.
Of course, this requires two separate air washrooms 20, as is the case with larger rooms anyway. Each of these washrooms then has its own water circuit, the channels of which run transversely to the longitudinal direction of the room. The drawing therefore corresponds to a cross section of the system.
When the system is in operation, the fan 3 presses air into the room 1 through the filter ceiling 2. The fan 29 sucks air through the venturi-like air extraction duct 22, in which water drops are entrained. The latter are separated in the water separating chamber 23 at the separators 24, 24 'and reach the collecting trough 27 via the drip plate 25 and the pipe 26. The water trickles down along the water slide plate 200 and thus gets back into the water cycle. The operation is carried out so that the pressure difference in room 1 and in channel 22 corresponds to the height of water column h in tube 26.
