Abstract

The air is separated into an oxygen stream and a nitrogen stream. ry oxygen passes successively through a series of discharge ozone generators. After each passage through a generator, the oxygen laden with ozone is cooled in a cooler. After the last cooling, the air laden with ozone passes alternatively through two silica gel beds working alternately in adsorption of ozone and desorption of ozone by means of the nitrogen stream. The oxygen stream, free from its ozone, is recycled to the first generator after passing through a purifier. The efficiency of the adsorption of the ozone by the silica gel is improved by the preliminary cooling of the oxygen laden with ozone.
