Abstract

The installation comprises a chamber (2) in which the liquids may be packed in a sterile manner. A flexible band (1), intended to form the packaging, enters into the chamber via an entry slit and passes successively into a sterilising bath of hydrogen peroxide (15), over a heating rotating drum (18), into a device (4) which folds it longitudinally, into a device which unfolds it into a longitudinally open tube and into a device which welds this tube longitudinally. The chamber comprises an exit slot for the welded tube and a pipe for filling the tube with sterile liquid arranged in front of the welding device. The filling pipe also serves for the introduction, into the chamber, of sterilising hot water at a temperature of 120 DEG C and at a pressure of 3 bar, and of sterile coolant water, which are discharged via an exit conduit (9). A second pipe (11) makes it possible to introduce, into the chamber, sterile air which, escaping via the entry and exit slots, forms an aseptic barrier at the level of these slots. <IMAGE>
