Manufacturing instructions
Preparation of N- (N-methylcarbamic acid-1-methylthio-ethylimide) -N '- (N'-methylcarbamic acid-n-hexyl ester) sulfide
15.8 g of N-chlorosulfenyl-N-methyl-nhexyl urethane and then 6.6 g of pyridine are added dropwise to a solution of 11.3 g of 1-methylthioethylideneamino N-methylcarbamate in 70 ml of dichloromethane at 5 to 10 ° C. with stirring. The reaction mixture obtained is stirred at a temperature of 5 to 10 C for 16 hours. The resulting pyridine hydrochloride is then filtered off with suction, the dichloromethane is distilled off and the crude product is chromatographed on silica gel (benzene-ethyl acetate).
In this way, the N- (N-methylcarbamic acid-1-methyl-thioethylimide) -N '- (N' -methylcarbamic acid-n-hexyl ester) sulfide of the formula is obtained

Insecticidal food poison effect:
Spodoptera littoralis and Heliothis virescens
Cotton plants were sprayed with an aqueous emulsion containing 0.05% of the compound to be tested (obtained from a 10% emulsifiable concentrate).
After the covering had dried on, the plants were each populated with Spodoptera littoralis and Heliothis virescens larvae (L3 stage). The killing achieved was evaluated after 2, 4, 24 and 48 hours. The test was carried out at 24 C and 60% relative humidity.
In the above experiment, compounds of the formula I showed good feeding poison activity against Spodoptera littoralis and Heliothis virescens larvae.
Example 3
Effect against Chilo suppressalis
6 rice seedlings of the Caloro variety were grown in plastic pots so that their roots were matted into a disc. The roots were immersed in a solution containing 800 ppm of the compound to be tested and drained. Then 5 test animals (Chilo suppressalis larvae in the L2 stage) were placed in a pot and the treated plants were placed on them. One plant per test substance and per concentration was used, and the kill achieved was evaluated after 5 days. The test was carried out at 24 C and 70% relative humidity.
Compounds of the formula I showed good activity against Chilo suppressalis in this test.
Example 4
Insecticidal contact effect: Aphis fabae
Plants grown in pots (Vicia faba) were populated with approx. 200 individuals of the species Aphis fabae before the start of the experiment. The plants treated in this way were sprayed to runoff point 24 hours later with a solution containing 1000 or 100 ppm of the compound to be tested. Two plants were used per test compound and per concentration, and the kill rate achieved was evaluated after a further 24 hours.
The compounds of the formula I showed a positive action against Aphis fabae in the above experiment.
