Abstract

A vibrating element (15), in the form of tuning fork, made of a quartz crystal, is fixed adhesively to a support (18). Conducting wires (20, 21) are welded to electrodes (16, 17) with which the vibrating element is provided. In order to preclude the temperature differences which arise from causing fracture of the very thin vibrating element, the support (18) is formed of a material having a coefficient of thermal expansion at least approximately equal to that which the vibrating element (15) exhibits perpendicularly to the direction of the legs of the tuning fork shape. <IMAGE>
