Abstract
The integral roof tile is used for creating green growth areas on sloping roof. The roof tile has a hole into which is placed a water tight, profiled pot. The latter is filled with filler material impregnated with nutrients and seeds or plants. The filling ensures grip for plant roots. This tile can be fitted also on roofs not specially designed for planting. The filling of the plant pot can consist of foam rubber. The plants suitable for this purpose are sedum, sempervivum and festuca which thrive under adverse conditions. The tile 2 can be made from fired clay, asbestos cement, glass or sheet metal.
Description
Fig. 2 ein Flachziegeldachelement gemäss Fig. 1 in vergrössertem Massstab gezeichnet.

The present invention relates to a one-piece roof element for planting pitched roofs, characterized in that it has an opening to which a flower-pot-like, water-impermeable body is connected which is filled with a filling material soaked, seeded and / or planted with water and nutrient solution , whereby the filling material gives the root system of the plant the necessary support.
The present invention aims to green pitched roofs which are not specially designed for this purpose and for which up to now a vegetative stimulation seemed to be excluded.
Greening a pitched roof not only enables almost unlimited design options, it also has a positive effect on the house climate as such. In winter, the risk of snow slides on pitched roofs that are green is reduced to a minimum.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown schematically, namely show:
Fig. 1 is a schematic longitudinal section of part of a flat tile roof with two roof elements and
FIG. 2 shows a flat tile roof element according to FIG. 1 drawn on an enlarged scale.
The roof ridge is denoted by 1. The roof tile 2 and 2 'has an opening to which a flower-pot-like, water-impermeable vessel 3 is also connected to the roof tile 2, 2'. The roof element consists of a single piece and the vessel 3 is filled with foam 4 which is soaked with water and nutrient salt solution. A green plant 5 is planted in this foam 4, the foam 4 giving the root system 6 the necessary support. Sedum, Sempervivum and Festuca, which thrive in minimal living conditions, have proven to be suitable green plants for greening pitched roofs. The roof element can be made of baked clay, asbestos cement, glass and sheet metal.
The pitched roofs can be covered with tiles or with corrugated sheets made of asbestos cement.
PATENT CLAIM
Roof element consisting of one piece for greening pitched roofs, characterized in that it has an opening to which a flower-pot-like, water-impermeable body is also connected, which is filled with a filling material soaked, seeded and / or planted with water and nutrient solution, the filling material gives the root system of the plant the necessary support.
SUBClaim
Roof element consisting of one piece for greening pitched roofs according to claim, characterized in that the filler material consists of foam rubber.
