Description
Dakpan, met voorzieningen ten behoeve van begroeiing.Roof tile, with provisions for vegetation.
The invention relates to a roof tile, - curved or flat, as a roof covering or as: wall cladding - or to a strip of material in the form of a row of tiles, and aims at making the 5 (row) tile (s) suitable. to grow plants on it.
Such an idea has been elaborated on several times, for example in the Dutch patent number 8401667 and in the European patent number 0 257 234. It describes two ways to prevent the soil required for the growth of plants from sliding down 10 . One method uses a tile that has an upstand at the bottom, while the other method places (part of) the tile at a less angled angle than the roof pitch. However, these methods are not suitable for steeper roofs.
A completely different starting point is used in patent no. DE 41 24 215 Al. Here a pot 15 is attached to, or (partially) under the pan the pan, wherein, if the pot is under the pan, the pan is provided with an opening through which plants can grow. A flower pot is therefore integrated in each pan. A disadvantage of this idea is that the pan can no longer be made in one operation and is difficult to stack. It is further known that ceramic or concrete flower pots, which remain outside in winter, can burst due to the fact that water, which has been incorporated in the soil, expands during freezing. Because the wall of the flowerpot encompasses the soil and this volume increase does not allow, such high forces can arise that the pot bursts through it.
The object of the invention is to remedy these drawbacks by providing a roof tile with parts which serve to enclose an amount of earth in such a way that this enclosure can absorb the change in volume of freezing water. The invention makes it possible for plants to grow on a steep roof, even an overgrown facade is possible with this type of pan. Furthermore, the pans can be made in one operation and can be stacked as standard pans.

The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawings, which show that the principle can be applied in different models. The three models shown, drawn in the figures, serve only as examples and have been chosen to provide insight into the features of the invention.
Due to the way in which they overlap, the pans form a more or less enclosed space or pot (1) that can be filled with soil (2). The pot can be placed in the zone of the side closure (12), but also in the zone of the head closure (11). Figure 6 shows that the 10 pot is created in the side and head closure.
Different distinguishable parts play an important role in the creation of the pot. Two of them are easy to recognize: the overlapped part of a pan: the bowl (3), and the overlapping part of an adjacent pan (or pans): the lid (4). The pot is enclosed at the location of the water-retaining zone (13), and the other interfaces (14) of the overlapped and overlapping pan. To prevent the soil (2) from sliding down into the pot, the bowl (3) may have a raised edge (5) at the bottom. There may also be an edge (6) attached to the bottom of the lid (4), or multiple ridges (7) attached to the bowl and lid that join together to keep the soil in place .
One or more openings (8) are provided in the connection of the lid to the bowl, so that 20 earth that is scattered over the roof will automatically end up in the overlap between the tiles and remain there. In addition, the holes give plants room to grow. These opening (s) can be on the top of the pot, but as shown in figure 8, also on the side. Because the side is open here and the earth must be prevented from flowing out of these openings, the ridges are placed here at an angle, so that the 25 ridges shield the earth on the side. A funnel-shaped cavity is created in which soil can remain.
Containers (10) containing a plant or plant seed can be clamped in the openings in the wall of the lid.
In general, the overlying tile will fall over the underlying to obtain correct drainage. At the location of the lid (4) the overlying pan can be overlapped by the lid of the underlying pan, so that the pans interlock more and are more firmly in the wind. This extra connection can already arise because a ridge (9) on the underside of the lid is overlapped by the lid of the underlying pan.
