Fig. 8 ist eine Ansicht dieses Rahmens.
The invention relates to a door frame with soffits.
Lintel and threshold. which consist of outer and inner profiles, have hinges and a fold to hold a door leaf and panels and are attached to the edges of a wall opening by means of fastening elements.
The frame according to the invention is particularly suitable for fire-retardant doors. but is also possible for other doors, as well as for shutters or the like. The term door frame is therefore to be understood in a very general way.
He can be made of wood. Plastic or other suitable material are made, but metal profiles, in particular sheet steel parts. prefers.
When constructing buildings, two main methods are used to attach frames for doors, windows, etc. in the walls. Either a prefabricated frame is attached in an opening. which is provided in the erected wall, or the wall is built, preferably by pouring concrete around a frame which has previously been fixed in place.
The first method has the disadvantage. that because of the difficulty of fitting the frame exactly. an opening with considerably larger dimensions must be provided.
As a result, additional masonry or concrete casting work, or at least subsequent plastering, is required after the frame has been inserted. When using the second method, which is preferably used for cast concrete walls, i.e. the frame gets into the poured formwork, other disadvantages arise: The frames must be available at a very early stage of the construction work. The frame must be separated from the door. to which he belongs. which brings the risk of mix-ups and mistakes. Furthermore, difficulties in fitting can occur. The frame can also be easily damaged. when the wall is built.
The invention is based on the object of creating a frame. which can be inserted into the opening of a wall without difficulty and allows the compensation of large tolerances in the dimensions of these openings without requiring any changes in the opening mass itself.
The door frame according to the invention is characterized in that the outer and inner profiles are made of separate.
there are overlapping parts that are interconnected along the edges of the wall opening.
wherein the outer profiles carry the fastening elements and the inner profiles are provided with the bands and the fold.
The outer and inner profiles advantageously have a stepped cross-sectional shape.
The outer profiles expediently each have a center piece. which in the intended mounting position lies essentially in the wall opening and runs approximately perpendicular to the wall plane. on one side of this middle piece a leg is provided which protrudes outward from the wall opening, and on the other a leg protrudes into the wall opening, while the inner profiles of the frame each run with one side in the intended mounting position essentially parallel to the wall plane and are attached to the inwardly curved leg of the outer profile, and have a part on the opposite side. which protrudes outward from the wall opening and is connected to the corresponding leg of the outer profile.
Preferably, the assembled profiles extend essentially over the entire edge of the wall opening to which they are attached.
In a further embodiment, metal sheets can be attached to the free side of the frame to complete a surrounding frame.
The invention makes it possible to adapt the frame to the dimensions of the wall opening while maintaining the prescribed internal dimensions, without changing the visible frame width. The division into outer and inner profiles makes it possible to form a frame which is provided in a conventional manner with bands, rabbets, etc. to accommodate the door leaf or the like, but is not arranged directly in the wall opening, but adaptably in a socket which was previously fixed in the wall opening - preferably close to the wall - taking into account its mass.
The invention is explained and illustrated below with reference to the drawing, for example.
1 shows a horizontal cross section through a reveal of the door frame according to the invention in an embodiment for concrete or brick walls;
Figures 2 and 3 are cross sections of cladding elements of this frame;
Fig. 4 is a view of a corner and
Fig. 5 is a vertical cross-section through a door sill:
Fig. 6 is a horizontal cross-section through a reveal of the frame in a second embodiment, which is preferably intended for steel walls and walls made of plasterboard:
7 is a vertical cross-section through the lintel, and
Fig. 8 is a view of this frame.
First, the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 5 will be explained.
In Fig. List 1 denotes a door opening as a recess in a concrete wall. In this opening, you can use steel nails. Stone screws or the like 2 a metal profile 3 attached. A second metal profile 4, which carries the strips 5 and has a fold 6, is connected to the profile 3 by fastening elements 7. The fastening elements 7 are e.g. Rivets that can be set from the outside of the frame, in particular the so-called explosion rivets. The cavity between the metal profiles 3, 4 is expediently filled with an insulating material 8, for example rock wool.
In cross-section, the metal profile 3 shows, as can be seen from Fig. 1, on one side of a middle part 3a extending at right angles to the wall plane an approximately right angle inwards, i. to the door opening protruding leg 3c and on the other side a leg 3b which is bent outwards. The metal profile 4 has a correspondingly stepped shape, namely the leg 4b is attached to the last-mentioned leg 3b and the part 4a of the profile 4 is attached to the leg 3c.
In Fig. 5, the threshold of the door frame is shown. It consists of a metal profile 9 which is provided with webs 28 and fastened to a rail 10 with the aid of pins or self-tapping screws 11 and 12. The rail 10 is in turn fastened to the floor 13 by means of steel nails 14. Profiles 4 and 9 must be dimensioned according to the dimensions of the door. So that they can be attached to the profiles 3 or the rail 10, although these profiles 3 and possibly also the rail 10 can assume different positions because of the large tolerances in the dimensions of the wall opening. the holes for the rivets 7 and possibly also the pins or screws 11 and 12 are expediently drilled in one operation.
However, it is also possible. To provide one profile or both with rows of holes, slots or the like, which allow the profiles to be moved against each other during assembly.
The corners of the frame formed from the profiles 3 and 4 can be connected and covered by plates 29, 30, as can be seen from FIGS. 2 and 3 (FIG. 4).
The frame according to the second advantageous embodiment (FIGS. 6, 7 and 8) is intended for installation in walls made of panels 31 and 32 which are fastened to beams 20. A metal profile 22 is attached with the aid of rivets 21 to the beam 20, which here consists of sheet steel. A metal profile 23 is fastened to this profile 22 with the aid of rivets 24.
Furthermore, an angle plate 25 is attached to the inner leg of the profile 22 or to the free side of the frame, which lies against the plate 32, so that a frame is created that surrounds the wall on both sides.
The lintel 26 of the frame (Fig. 7) is supported by the profiles 23 and is not attached to the wall by any special elements. Here, too, a sheet metal 27 is provided for cladding. These panels 25 and 27 can be mitered and welded together.
The assembly of the frame is carried out as follows:
Profiles 3 resp.
22 fastened on both sides in the manner mentioned, for example by means of steel nails 2 or rivets 21. The profiles 4 and 23 or 26 are set up on the frame opening provided, whereupon the holes are drilled and the rivets 7 and 24 are set. Furthermore, panels 29, 30 or
25, 27 are attached. Both of the above-described embodiments of the appropriate frame essentially correspond in terms of assembly.
When the profiles 4, or 23, 26 of the frame, the lintel and the threshold are arranged, they are attached to one another by welding or by means of corner connectors. However, it is also possible to use the inner part of the frame as a prefabricated whole and to connect it to the outer profiles which are fastened in the wall opening.
