Ein Gegenstand des Patentes ist ein Verfahren zur Bildung eines fallmaschensicheren elastischen Saumes an Maschenware.
One subject matter of the patent is a method for forming a drop stitch-proof elastic hem on knitted fabrics.
Es ist bereits bekannt, den Saum einer Maschenware mit einem Band aus gummielastischem Material (kurz Gummiband) auszurüsten. Das Band kann dabei von dem umgeschlagenen und abgenähten Rand der Ware umschlossen oder direkt an den Rand angenäht sein. Die zuerst genannte Lösung ist vollends unbefriedigend, zumal das Gummiband sich in seiner Einfassung verdrehen kann, so dass kein flacher Abschluss mehr gewährleistet ist. Darüber hinaus ist die Herstellung eines solchen Saumes umständlich. Im zweitgenannten Falle wird das Gummiband vorübergehend flach auf den Rand der Ware gelegt, wobei die Kanten des Bandes und der Ware miteinander verbunden werden, und das Band danach nach aussen umgeklappt wird. Auch diese Lösung vermag nicht alle Wünsche zu befriedigen, die insbesondere bei Kleidungsstücken massgebend sind.

Störend wirkt sich in erster Linie die Naht aus, da die miteinander verbundenen Ränder der Ware und des Gummibandes vorstehen und einen unangenehm empfundenen erhöhten Druck auf die Haut aus üben. In einigen Fällen, z. B. bei Wäschestücken, kann das Gummiband direkt auf die Haut zu liegen kommen. Auch dies erzeugt mitunter ein unangenehm empfundenes Druckgefühl und kann auch zum örtlichen Schwitzen führen.

Das erfindungsgemässe Verfahren soll nun die Bildung eines fallmaschensicheren elastischen Saumes an Maschenware ermöglichen und dabei die übrigen vorstehend erwähnten Nachteile der bisher bekannten Lösungen vermeiden. Erfindungsgemäss geschieht dies dadurch, dass ein Flachband aus gummielastischem Material dem Verlauf des zu bildenden Saumes entsprechend auf die Ware angelegt und mit derselben durch eine Doppelnaht, nämlich eine Kettenstichnaht und eine Overlocknaht oder eine Zweinadel-Overlocknaht verbunden wird.

Unterhemden für Herren und Damen; Miederwaren; Badekleider, Gymnastikhosen, Gymnastikanzüge; Babyartikel usw.

Eine besondere Bedeutung kommt dem erfindungsgemäs- sen Verfahren im Zusammenhang mit den sogenannten Einstück-Strumpfhosen zu. Dieselben werden in Form eines Schlauches hergestellt, der an seinen beiden Enden zur Bildung der Fusspartie geschlossen wird. In der Mitte des Schlauches wird zur Bildung des Einstiegloches eine Aussparung vorgesehen, dessen Rand - bisher in der herkömmlichen Weise - mit einem Gummiband verbunden wird. Da die
Maschenreihen in der Längsrichtung des Schlauches verlau fen, stehen sie zum grossen Teil in einem ungünstigen Winkel (z. B. tangential oder beinahe tangential) zum Rand der Aus nehmung, mit der Konsequenz, dass die Verbindung des Ran des der Maschenware mit dem Gummiband stellenweise eine ausgesprochene Fallmaschengefährdung aufweist.

Bei der Verwendung einer Sicherheitsnaht-Nähmaschine oder einer Zweinadel Overlocknähmaschine wird das Schneiden - wie dies bekannt ist - gleichzeitig mit dem Nähen bewerkstelligt. Die zweite Naht, z. B. die Kettenstichnaht befindet sich in einem je nach Breite des Gummibandes bemessenen Abstand von der ersten und übernimmt vor allem die Aufgabe der Maschensicherung und verhindert das Hochklappen des Gummibandes.

Zwischen dem Gummi uand und dem Körper liegt beim Tragen der Rand der Ma henware, wodurch jede Reizung der Haut vermieden wird, nd das sonst von einem Gummiband verursachte Unbehagen wegfällt. Schliesslich ist der Saum auch dekorativ, zumal wenn für die beiden Nähte verschiedenfarbige Fäden verwendet werden.

Verfahren zur Bildung eines fallmaschensicheren elastischen Saumes an Maschenware, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass ein Flachband aus gummielastischem Material dem Verlauf des zu bildenden Saumes entsprechend auf die Ware angelegt und mit derselben durch eine Doppelnaht, nämlich eine Kettenstichnaht und eine Overlocknaht oder eine Zweinadel Overlocknaht verbunden wird.

UNTERANSPRÜCHE
1. Verfahren nach Patentanspruch I zur Bildung eines in sich geschlossenen Saumes, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass eine entsprechende Länge des Flachbandes entweder zuerst an die Ware angenäht wird, wobei die Bandenden zum Schluss miteinander verbunden werden, oder zuerst in Form einer geschlossenen Bandschlaufe gebracht und diese an die Ware angenäht wird.
