Abstract
The drier vessel has a heated outer jacket and internal heating elements (both for circulating heating fluids) and a pulsator valve controlled gas-inlet at the bottom. From the top a vacuum is drawn by a suction pump to induce turbulent layers in the dispersion as it is dried by the combined effects of heat and gas feed. The formation of the turbulent layers is further helped by injecting the gas at the bottom of the chamber through a double tangential nozzle so that the gas starts with a spiral motion.
