Description
Procédé de production d'une copie d'un hologramme La présente invention est relative à un procédé de production d'une copie d'un hologramme et constitue un développement de l'invention décrite dans le brevet no. 471 404 de la titulaire. La présente invention concerne de manière générale le domaine de la reconstitution d'ondes frontales. Le copiage d'un hologramme est relativement difficile. Dans le cas où l'hologramme est imprimé par contact, il se présente sous forme d'un négatif de l'original qui à son tour produira une reconstruction positive. Certaines propriétés de l'hologramme ont cependant tendance à se perdre lors d'un tirage par contact, puisque la reconstruction ou le copiage est relativement difficile étant donné que les hologrammes contiennent souvent des fréquences spatiales dans l'ordre de grandeur de 300 à 1000 lignes par mm. Le tirage par contact, bien que très utile dans certaines limites, produit une copie de qualité inférieure en comparaison de l'original. Une reproduction par image de l'hologramme n'est pas possible, car une lentille ordinaire a une fréquence de réponse d'environ 100 à 300 lignes par mm. Le procédé de production d'une copie d'un hologramme selon la présente invention est caractérisé par le fait que l'on éclaire l'hologramme à copier avec un premier faisceau de lumière cohérente, on place un détecteur pour recevoir le faisceau diffracté de premier ordre, et on dirige un second faisceau de lumière cohérente sur le détecteur, le premier faisceau étant cohérent par rapport au second faisceau. Lesdits premier et second faisceaux peuvent être constitués par des parties différentes d'un même faisceau et un faisceau diffracté du premier ordre peut être focalisé sur le détecteur. Le faisceau diffracté de premier ordre peut être focalisé au moyen d'une lentille ou le détecteur peut être placé à une distance suffisante pour que l'image portée par le faisceau du premier ordre puisse être focalisée par le premier hologramme. Des mises en oeuvre particulières du procédé objet de l'invention sont décrites ci-après, à titre d'exemple, en se référant au dessin annexé dans lequel: La fig. 1 est un diagramme illustrant une première mise en oeuvre dans laquelle on utilise un système de lentilles pour former l'image d'un hologramme, la fig. 2 est un diagramme illustrant une seconde mise en oeuvre, plus simple. La fig. 1 montre un procédé pour la production d'un deuxième hologramme à partir d'un premier hologramme. Le premier hologramme 33' est placé dans un faisceau incident de lumière 23' provenant d'une source cohérente 21. 35 est un image réelle de l'hologramme (v. aussi fig. 2). Un faisceau du premier ordre est concentré au moyen de deux lentilles 38 et 40 sur un détecteur 33", c'est-à-dire, l'image de la surface du premier hologramme est concentrée sur le détecteur 33". Les lentilles 38 et 40 ont des distances focales égales et sont espacées d'une distance qui est égale à deux fois la distance focale d'une lentille. Un écran présentant un petit trou 41 peut être placé au point focal entre les deux lentilles pour réduire l'effet d'une aberration possible de la lentille 38. Un faisceau de référence de la source cohérente 21 est également dirigé sur le détecteur 33" au moyen de miroirs 26 et 28. Ce procédé enlève et réintroduit la fréquence porteuse dans le plan du second hologramme. Le premier hologramme possède des informations enregistrées dans la forme suivante: aO2 + a2 + a0 a ei[(xsY)-wxl + a0 a e-j[ç(x,y)-wX] dans laquelle aO.a.e+i(xsy) est le terme désiré porteur d'informations. Le brevet suisse no. 471 404 de la titulaire donne les explications et définitions nécessaires à la compréhension de ces fonctions. Ces expie cations étant de nature théorique, on renonce à cette place à une répétition. Le terme porteur d'informations possède souvent des fréquences spatiales basses de manière qu'il puisse être enregistré, c'est-à-dire imagé en utilisant des lentilles comme montré dans la fig. 1. Les autres termes de l'équation sont enlevés par filtrage spatial. L'Iiolo- gramme reproduit 33" (le second hologramme) peut avoir une fréquence porteuse différente et peut également être agrandie si c'est nécessaire ou désiré, en choisissant des lentilles différentes des lentilles 38 et 40. Le deuxième hologramme aura la forme suivante: ar + a2 + a1 a ej[(x',y')-w2 xl + a1 a (xyt)-w2 x7 et a par conséquent la même information que le premier hologramme. (Les indices concernent les coordonnées du second hologramme). Une autre technique pour obtenir un second hologramme à partir d'un premier hologramme est montrée dans la fig. 2. Dans ce cas, des lentilles ne sont pas utilisées. Un premier hologramme 33' est placé dans un rayon de lumière incidente 23 d'une source cohérente 21 et un détecteur 33"est placé dans l'une des bandes latérales reconstituées. Une partie du faisceau incident 23 sert comme faisceau de référence 31 pour produire un deuxième hologramme sur le détecteur 33". L'image virtuelle enregistrée du deuxième hologramme donne normalement à l'observateur l'impression qu'il est en train de regarder un objet à travers deux fenêtres, dont l'une a la grandeur du premier hologramme et l'autre la grandeur du second hologramme. L'avantage de la méthode selon la fig. 2 consiste en ce qu'elle est plus sinple et que le contenu de fréquences spatiales de l'original n'est pas limité par des lentilles.
Claims (1)
- REVENDICATIONSI. Procédé de production d'une copie d'un hologramme, caractérisé par le fait que l'on éclaire l'hologramme à copier avec un premier faisceau de lumière cohérente, on place un détecteur constitué par un support portant une matière sensible aux radiations pour recevoir le faisceau diffracté du premier ordre, et on dirige un second faisceau de lumière cohérente sur le détecteur, le premier faisceau étant cohérent par rapport au second faisceau.II. Copie d'un hologramme obtenue selon le procédé de la revendication I.SOUS-REVENDICATIONS 1. Procédé selon la revendication I, caractérisé en ce que lesdits premier et second faisceaux sont constitués par des parties différentes d'un même faisceau.2. Procédé selon la revendication I, caractérisé en ce que l'on focalise ledit faisceau diffracté du premier ordre sur le détecteur.3. Procédé selon la sous-revendication 2, caractérisé en ce que l'on focalise ledit faisceau diffracté du premier ordre sur le détecteur au moyen d'une lentille.4. Procédé selon la sous-revendication 2, caractérisé en ce que l'on place ledit détecteur à une distance suffisante pour que l'image portée par le faisceau du premier ordre soit focalisée par le premier hologramme.5. Procédé selon la revendication I, caractérisé en ce que l'on utilise comme détecteur une plaque ou un film photographiques.6. Procédé selon la revendication I, caractérisé en ce que l'on utilise un détecteur en forme de bande allongée.
