Gerät für die Zahn- und Mundpflege
Die vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein der Zahn- und Mundpflege dienendes Gerät, das sich bei vielseitiger Verwendbarkeit durch Einfachheit, Unverwüstlichkeit und Wohlfeilheit auszeichnet und dadurch weiten Volkskreisen zugänglich gemacht wird.
Das Gerät besitzt erfindungsgemäss einen Dreiweghahn mit drei Stutzen, von denen einer für den Anschluss an einem Wasserhahn bestimmt und ausgebildet ist, während ein zweiter Stutzen den freien Wasserauslauf in den Ausguss ermöglicht, und der dritte über eine flexible Leitung mit einem Kupplungsstück verbunden ist, welchem eine Munddusche, ein Strahlrohr und eine Zahnbürste zugeordnet ist, von welchen Zubehörteilen wahlweise das eine oder andere an das Kupplungsstück anschliessbar ist, und wobei Stiel und Borstenträger der Zahnbürste hohl ausgebildet sind und der Borstenträger mit Durchbrechungen für den Wasserzutritt zu den Borsten versehen ist.
Die erfindungsgemässe Ausbildung ermöglicht in optimaler Weise sowohl Spülungen der Mundhöhle, wie auch eine intensive Wassermassage des Zahnfleisches zur Behandlung von Paradentose, und natürlich auch eine gründliche Reinigung der Zähne, wobei zurückgebliebene und von den Borsten der Zahnbürste gelöste Speiseresten von dem in den Borstenbesatz strömenden Wasser weggespült werden. Durch Verstellen des Kükens des Dreiweghahnes kann der aus dem Wasserhahn austretende Wasserstrahl entweder direkt in den Ausguss abgeleitet oder aber wahlweise entweder ganz oder nur zum Teil dem an das Kupplungsstück angeschlossenen Zubehörteil zugeleitet werden, wodurch eine feine Regulierung der jeweils benötigten Wassermenge gewährleistet ist.

In dem dargestellten Beispiel bezeichnet 6 das Gehäuse eines Dreiweghahnes 3, in welchem ein Küken 7 in üblicher Weise drehbar gelagert und mittels eines Drehknopfes 13 betätigbar ist. Der Stutzen 4 ist an einen Wasserhahn 5 anschliessbar, während der Stutzen 9 direkt in den (nicht gezeichneten) Ausguss mündet. 10 ist ein am Stutzen 9 angeordneter Strahlregler. Der Stutzen 2 steht über eine flexible Leitung 1, beispielsweise einen Metallschlauch, mit einem Kupplungsstück 14 (Fig. 4) in Verbindung, dessen Mündungsende mit einem abgewinkelten Schlitz 15 versehen ist, der Teil eines Bajonettverschlusses ist.
Dem Kupplungsstück 14 ist eine Zahnbürste 18-21, eine Munddusche 22, 23 sowie ein Strahlrohr 16, 17 zn- geordnet. Wie ersichtlich, sind Stiel 18 und Borstenträger 19 der Zahnbürste hohl ausgebildet. Der Borstenträger 19 ist mit Durchbrechungen 20 versehen, die den Wasserzutritt zu den Borsten 21 ermöglichen.
Die Munddusche 22, 23 ist in dem dargestellten Beispiel ähnlich ausgebildet wie die Zahnbürste; es fehlt jedoch der Borstenbesatz 21. Ausserdem öffnen sich die Düsen 23' nicht nur nach einer Seite hin, sondern verteilen sich über die ganze Oberfläche des Duschenkopfes 23.
Wie aus der Zeichnung ersichtlich ist, verläuft das Strahlrohr 16 gegen die Düsenöffnung 17 hin in einer leichten Biegung.
Zahnbürste, Munddusche und Strahlrohr sind wahlweise an das Kupplungsstück 14 des Metallschlauches 1 anschliessbar, wobei die in den Zubehörteilen 16, 18 und 22 eingesetzten Stifte 24, 25 und 26 zusammen mit dem Winkelschlitz 15 des Kupplungsstückes 14 den Bajonettverschluss bilden.
In Fig. 1 befindet sich das Küken 7 in der Sperrstellung. Der Wasserzufluss vom Hahn 5 zu den Stutzen 2 und 9 ist unterbrochen. Wird das Küken 7 im Uhrzeiger sinn um 90 Winkelgrade gedreht, so sind die Stutzen 4 und 2 miteinander verbunden; es fliesst Wasser durch den Metallschlauch 1 zu dem gerade angeschlossenen Zubehörteil. Ein Drehen des Kükens um weniger als 900 aus der in Fig. 1 dargestellten Ausgangsstellung führt zu Drosselstellungen, in denen dem angeschlossenen Zubehörteil weniger Wasser zugeführt wird. Auf diese Weise ist eine Feinregulierung des Wasserzuflusses möglich. Wird dagegen das Küken 7 aus der Stellung in Fig. 1 um 90 Winkelgrade im Gegenuhrzeigersinn gedreht, so sind die Stutzen 4 und 9 miteinander verbunden und das Wasser fliesst direkt in den Ausguss.
Während die Munddusche 22, 23 Spülungen der ganzen Mundhöhle ermöglicht, dient das Strahlrohr 16, 17 zur intensiven örtlichen Wassermassage des Zahnfleisches, beispielsweise für die Behandlung von Paradentose.

The design according to the invention optimally enables both rinsing of the oral cavity, as well as an intensive water massage of the gums to treat paradentosis, and of course also a thorough cleaning of the teeth, with food residues that have been loosened from the bristles of the toothbrush from the water flowing into the bristles be washed away. By adjusting the plug of the three-way faucet, the water jet emerging from the faucet can either be diverted directly into the sink or either wholly or partially fed to the accessory connected to the coupling piece, which ensures fine regulation of the amount of water required in each case.

In the example shown, 6 denotes the housing of a three-way valve 3, in which a plug 7 is rotatably mounted in the usual manner and can be actuated by means of a rotary knob 13. The connector 4 can be connected to a water tap 5, while the connector 9 opens directly into the spout (not shown). 10 is a jet regulator arranged on the nozzle 9. The connector 2 is connected via a flexible line 1, for example a metal hose, to a coupling piece 14 (FIG. 4), the mouth end of which is provided with an angled slot 15 which is part of a bayonet lock.
A toothbrush 18-21, an oral irrigator 22, 23 and a jet pipe 16, 17 are arranged with the coupling piece 14. As can be seen, the handle 18 and bristle carrier 19 of the toothbrush are hollow. The bristle carrier 19 is provided with openings 20 which allow water to enter the bristles 21.
In the example shown, the oral irrigator 22, 23 is designed similarly to the toothbrush; However, the bristle facing 21 is missing. In addition, the nozzles 23 ′ not only open to one side, but are distributed over the entire surface of the shower head 23.
As can be seen from the drawing, the jet pipe 16 extends towards the nozzle opening 17 in a slight bend.
Toothbrush, oral irrigator and jet pipe can optionally be connected to the coupling piece 14 of the metal hose 1, the pins 24, 25 and 26 used in the accessories 16, 18 and 22 together with the angled slot 15 of the coupling piece 14 forming the bayonet lock.
In Fig. 1, the plug 7 is in the locked position. The flow of water from tap 5 to nozzles 2 and 9 is interrupted. If the chick 7 is rotated clockwise by 90 degrees, the connecting pieces 4 and 2 are connected to one another; water flows through the metal hose 1 to the accessory that has just been connected. Rotating the plug less than 900 from the starting position shown in FIG. 1 leads to throttle positions in which less water is supplied to the connected accessory. In this way it is possible to fine-tune the water flow. If, on the other hand, the plug 7 is rotated counterclockwise by 90 degrees from the position in FIG. 1, the nozzles 4 and 9 are connected to one another and the water flows directly into the sink.
While the oral irrigator 22, 23 enables rinsing of the entire oral cavity, the jet pipe 16, 17 is used for intensive local water massage of the gums, for example for the treatment of paradentosis.
