<tb> douille <SEP> est <SEP> maintenue <SEP> en <SEP> position <SEP> assemblée. <SEP> La <SEP> douille externe<B>110</B> est alors vissée sur la douille<B>103.</B> La douille externe<B>110</B> est serrée sur le tirant jusqu'à ce que la par tie centrale surélevée 111 entre en contact avec la face terminale<B>1</B>12 du tirant;
A connecting device between two structural elements and its manufacturing method The present invention relates to a connecting device between two structural elements, in particular between an anchoring point and an object to be supported, comprising a tie rod made of a laminated material comprising reinforcing cables or filaments and end fittings. Such a material exhibits excellent traction properties. Further, and this is important in electrical construction, these laminated materials can be insulating materials. However, it is difficult to fix the end fittings (usually metal) to the ends of the tie-rod to be connected to the anchor point or to the object to be held.
The fact of providing transverse holes for the passage of pins or fasteners considerably weakens the material and it is not possible to use its total tensile strength by screwing or plastic deformation of an anchor part . The object of this invention is to provide a connecting device comprising a tie rod in a laminated material allowing easy and secure connection to end fittings.
The connecting device between two structural elements is characterized in that it comprises a rigid tie rod, each end of which has at least two opposite surfaces which diverge in the direction of its free end, and at least one end fitting having a recess provided with a restricted opening, a pair of on faces diverging from this opening, and fixing means preventing a separation of these on faces, the whole arranged so that the recess encloses the widened end of the tie rod and that the divergent surfaces of the fitting come into contact with the divergent surfaces of the tie rod.
The accompanying drawing illustrates schematically and by way of example different embodiments of the object of the invention.

<tb> socket <SEP> is <SEP> held <SEP> in <SEP> position <SEP> assembled. <SEP> The <SEP> outer sleeve <B> 110 </B> is then screwed onto the sleeve <B> 103. </B> The outer sleeve <B> 110 </B> is tightened on the tie rod until in that the raised central part 111 comes into contact with the end face <B> 1 </B> 12 of the tie rod;
a subsequent rotation of the tie rod Or of the sleeve causes tin jamming of the divergent complementary faces of the end 102 of the tie rod and of the sleeve 103 and fixes the tie rod <B> 101 </B> in the fitting.
The embodiment illustrated in FIGS. 10 and 1 1 uses a tie rod of rectangular section 121y made from laminated sheet, cutting the sheet into strips of sufficiently small width. The sheet is provided with two wedge parts, the opposite faces of which diverge from the middle of the sheet, to form the desired divergent wedge profile at the ends 122, which has a rectangular section. At the extreme edge of the sheet, therefore at the ends of the tie rod, are parts of short length forming parallel faces 123.
A bush 124 is produced by two half-bushings 125 each having a cylindrical shape provided with an external thread and a contact face 128. An internal surface has the shape of a groove in transverse section, the two side walls of which 127 are divergent and tin bottom 126 parallel to the plane contact face <B> 128. </B> Thus this groove increases in width, along the half-sleeve, in a manner corresponding to the increase in thickness of the end 122 of the tie rod.
When the bearing faces 128 of the two half-sockets are placed in contact. the two grooves form a tubular sleeve having an axial central opening having a pair of parallel walls 126 and a pair of divergent walls 127, this opening corresponding to the shape of the end portions of the tie rod 1221. The end 123 of the tie extends beyond socket <B> 1 </B> 24.
An approximately hollow cylindrical tubular outer sleeve 130 has an internal thread at each end thereof. One of these threads cooperates with the thread 129 of the sleeve 12-l, while the other of these threads cooperates with the end of an eyelet bolt <B> 131, </B> whose end face 132 has a raised central portion 133 coming into contact with the end face of the tie rod. A circumferential surface 134 inside the outer sleeve 130 slides on the cylindrical radial outer surface 13-5 of the sleeve 124.
To assemble the support the half-plates 125 are placed against each other on each side of the tie-rod and are moved towards the end of the tie-rod until the <B> 127 </B> faces of the rectangular opening come into contact with the divergent faces 122 of the end 102 of the tie rod. A key having lugs engaging the holes 136 corresponding to the holes 108 of the first embodiment, holds the socket 124 together while the outer socket 130 is threaded around it and screwed thereon.
After having screwed the outer sleeve sufficiently so that the front end of the sleeve 124 is flush with the end of the outer sleeve 130. the bolt 131 is screwed into the unoccupied end of the sleeve 130 until that the central portion 133 comes into contact with the end face of the tie rod 121 wedging the surfaces 122 thereof against the surfaces <B> 127 </B> of the socket 124.
The internal thread of the sleeve 130 (and thus the thread of the sleeve 124 and bolt 131 <B>) </B> may be in opposite directions so that a simple angular movement of the outer sleeve 130 is small to effect an action. for tightening the end fernire on the tie rod. As a variant, the two threads can be of different pitches but in the same direction to also accomplish a tightening action. The connecting device thus produced can be incorporated in a longer connection and constitute, for example, an insulating element of the latter.
A sixth embodiment is illustrated in FIG. 12. An externally threaded plug 140 is screwed inside an outer sleeve 141, and has a shoulder 142 contacting the front face of a tie rod 121. An externally threaded shank 143 extends axially towards the end. 'outside from the plug 140 for its anchoring.
The tubular internal passage 144 inside the sleeve 141 has a diameter making it possible to receive two half-sleeves 145 shaped as described with reference to the first two embodiments, so as to retain the conical end of a tie rod 121 The outer surface of the half-sleeves 145 each having a shoulder 146, coming into contact with a flange 147 delimiting a restricted opening of the pitch 144.
The coming into contact of the shoulders 146, and of the flange 147 when the plug 140 is screwed inside the outer sleeve to contact the end of the tie rod 121 causes the desired wedging action between the halves. -sockets 145 and the conical end of the tie rod 121.
