Claims (5)

1. Device for assembling pieces of wood for construction, in particular for frameworks, comprising:
― a substantially plane plate (3) placed between two pieces (1, 2) to be assembled and comprising a set of rings (4) extending on either side of its plane, distributed so as to prevent the horizontal and vertical shearing of the pieces (1, 2) and being inserted, in the assembled position, in recesses (5) of a matching shape which are provided on the opposite faces (6, 7) of the said pieces to be assembled, whilst these faces (6, 7) bear on the faces of the said plate;
― a set of bolts (8), the number of which is less than the number of rings (4) of the plate (3), which traverse the said pieces (1, 2) to be assembled and the plate (3) preferably in holes concentric with at least some of the rings.
2. Device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the abovementioned plate (3) comprises, around each ring (4), a plurality of holes (10) intended to receive tacks (11) permitting the fixing of the said plate to at least one of the pieces to be assembled.
3. Process for producing an assembly device according to Claim 1 or 2, consisting:
― in forming a set of circular holes in a substantially plane plate (3);
― in placing inside each hole a cylindrical central ring (12), the diameter of which is equal to the diameter of the hole, and which extends on either side of the plane of the plate (3);
― in hooping the said central ring (12) by placing, on either side of the plate (3), a cylindrical outer ring (13), the height of which is substantially equal to the axial dimension of the part of the central ring (12) protruding from the plate, and the internal diameter of which is slightly less than the external diameter of the central ring; and
― in crimping the said outer rings (13) and the central ring (12).
4. Process according to Claim 3, characterized in that the end edges of the central ring (12) and the end edge of the outer rings (13) which is furthest from the plate (3) are bevelled in order to permit the abovementioned crimping operation.
5. Process according to Claim 3 or 4, characterized in that the plate (3) and the rings (12, 13) are metal.
